I would give 100 stars if possible! When I decided to have a destination wedding in the Keys, I…read moreknew I would need a wedding coordinator/planner to help me bring my wedding vision together and knew the area, as I was 1,200 miles away. Latrice and I chatted on the phone and I knew just from that short phone call that I needed to hire and work with Blue Water Weddings. The amount of information I initially received to get started with the planning process exceeded my expectations. This included vendor lists and an personal planning program to keep all of my wedding planning info and progress in one place as the planning process continued. Latrice went above and beyond - helping me create ideas, keep my vendors in the loop, and she was always there to answer my crazy questions and random messages when something would come up. I felt so reassured about my day because of the support Latrice showed me. By the time my wedding day rolled around, I felt like we knew each other for way longer than 6 months. On wedding weekend, Latrice and her team were awesome behind the scenes - excecuted the ceremony and reception details, worked hand in hand with the venue to set the areas appropriately, they repurposed and moved decor, and made my day flow so flawlessly. I am beyond grateful that Latrice and Blue Water Weddings were by my side on my wedding day!

So it was her husband, Richard and his 16 year old daughter taking the pictures. I was not told beforehand so it was news to me and too late to find anyone else. He had us crouch down to take photos guaranteeing that they would look great. Nope we look crouched down and awkward. We never made the album with them because there were not many photos that I would want to look at forever. Maybe it was an off situation but I would not recommend them. We wanted sunset shots and I got a shot of our hands and an awkward faces in some that missed a sunset. We felt not photogenic, which is terrible to say. Then realized that it was the photographer and not us. I wish I spent more versus trying to stay within a budget.

Beautiful place, but I would never stay here again. I rarely…read moreleave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel people should know what to expect. There were four of us staying at the villa, and we all left disappointed. The property is beautiful, but the owner/manager's attitude toward guests is a major problem. He constantly bothered us and reprimanded us over different things, and the entire atmosphere felt uncomfortable. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. We were never told that music was completely forbidden, yet we were made to feel like even enjoying music was a problem. I completely understand respecting quiet hours and other guests, but there is a big difference between reasonable rules and making guests feel like they cannot enjoy their vacation. I was also charged $225 for supposedly smoking inside the room. I do not smoke, so I found this accusation and charge extremely unfair. The breakfast was another disappointment. Calling a pastry and poor-quality coffee an "included breakfast" is misleading, especially considering the price of the stay. The property is gorgeous, but you are paying a lot of money for a place where you don't feel comfortable. If you are looking for somewhere to relax, celebrate and actually enjoy your vacation, I would think twice before booking this place. I would not return, even for free.
