Although the seating space is not designed for customers to stay long, the desserts themselves will make you to come back for more.

Cute little cafe that was open in the morning at Chelsea Market. We popped in to grab some pastries and coffee. They had a few tables to stand at while waiting for your items, it wasn't too crowded when we were there, but I can see how it could get a but stuffy. No frills cafe that I wouldn't mind revisiting once in a while

We walked inside Chelsea Market early Saturday morning & only few stores opened (including Sarabeth's). Since my kiddo was hungry, I bought a cheese danish for my kiddo. The danish was flaky and the cheese filling was plenty. It was just enough sweetness. Overall, it was a good breakfast item.

Fabulous quaint little Cafe within Chelsea Mkt featuring espresso, breakfast & lunch sandwiches, and an array of bakery items. They also have homemade jams, jellies, honey, maple syrup & cookies. We had the egg, bacon, cheese, on a brioche & it was divine. The eggs & brioche were freshly prepared & both light & fluffy. I had an iced latte that was delicious. Definitely high quality espresso. We also purchased a small jar of peach & apricot preserves! All in all a fabulous little spot for a light breakfast, lunch or snack! ENJOY!

I'm so happy I can order the biscuits online for Fresh Direct delivery. Posted 01/19/21

Sarabeth's Chelsea Market When you spend the day in the Chelsea Market neighborhood be sure to visit the bakery. I'm a fan of Sarabeth's baked goods. Lately the restaurants are closing. The one that was on the Upper East Side near my apartment closed permanently. I'm not one to wait in line to get a table. I also don't like to be committed to a reservation. What I do is stop in for a pastry to go. Typically I buy a cookie. It's all so delicious there's no telling what I'll buy. I'm super happy I found the biscuits at Fresh Direct. They're six frozen in a package. They are very tiny. I love the simple ingredients and the low carbs. They're pricey for the quantity. Naturally my daughter complained about the price when I requested them for Christmas Dinner. She appeared to enjoy them. Right now with the virus getting worse I won't get to the bakery. I'm glad that Sarabeth's products are sold in stores and especially Fresh Direct delivery. If you're in Chelsea Market check out the bakery. This location is a 4400 square foot wholesale bakery, café and retail shop in Manhattan's Chelsea Market.

The best chocolate chip cookie I've found in NYC yet! Super chocolatey, crispy skin and soft interior.

Saturday afternoon before the Highline. We ordered a carrot cake, chocolate chip cookie, and coffees. All were A+ in taste and quality. I was especially surprised by how delicious the carrot cake was with a hint of orange flavor. The frosting was not too sweet and cake very moist. Loved the choc chip cookie as well -- so chocolatey, with a crispy exterior and soft interior. Very pleased and will be back for another snack next time I pass a Sarabeths!

How is this place still in business? Over priced food items. Got the banana bread. How do I describe it. It's bread minus bananas. No banana flavor, no moistness, nothing you would expect from banana bread even Starbucks is better than this. Chokingly dry. Sad excuse for a bakery.

Soft, delicious pastries and breads. I love this spot, although on the crowded side since its in the middle of Chelsea Market. I'm a bit claustrophobic and can only handle crowd for a bit before I go crazy. Smart me decides to live in New York, go figure. Anyway, sorry about ky ADHD. Love this spot! They also have a sitting area where you can watch the workers bake and make the products. Definitely worth coming to and you get to explore Chelsea Market after!

I ended up stopping at Sarabeth's when the market opened. There's very limited places opened at 9am. They open super early and you can sit on the tables outside the shop and eat your food. They do check for vaccination cards. I ordered the iced coffee and chelsea market sandwich which is basically a bacon, egg and cheese on fancy bread. The bread was thick looking but so SOFT, fluffy and chewy inside. I absolutely loved it. It was extremely filling. The eggs were super fluffy. I loved it. The coffee was okayy. I'm glad they offered iced coffee because that's my jam. Overall i really enjoyed coming here. The service was kind and quick fast. It was also peaceful.

It seems to me that some of the previous reviews rated this place badly because they were expecting this to be a normal Sarabeth's. It is not. Someone even said they came here for brunch (?). This place is just a small bakery with limited seating inside Chelsea Market that is not meant to be a full service restaurant. It appears that they make all the pastries for the chain here and then deliver them to the restaurants. You can actually see the workers baking on the factory floor through the glass. They have a basic menu of hot and cold coffee drinks (cappucino, expresso) and juices. They offer a few sandwiches, but mainly they just offer the various pastries being produced here. We tried several such as the cheese bread, scones, and a fruit crostatta. Everything was pretty fresh and tasted fine. The drinks and pastries are slightly overpriced (mainly in the $4 to $5 range) but that is to be expected.

Overcharged me ridiculously - $11 for a coffee. Not sure why I paid it. They must have thought I was a tourist.

On our way back from New York, we picked up our car and wanted one last quick, authentic food…read moreexperience before heading home. I had been saying for days that I was craving a good Italian deli sandwich, and my partner came across Vito's & Son Italian Deli in Hoboken. Well, it does not get much more authentic than this. What an experience. You know how some Italian restaurants say they make you feel like family? At Vito's, we actually felt it the moment we walked in. The welcome was warm, genuine, and immediate -- the kind of hospitality that cannot be faked. As we browsed the extensive deli menu, I had to ask what "mutz" meant. I am from Chicago, where we usually say "mozz," so this was my first time seeing it written in what I can only call New Jersey-ian. Without hesitation, they gave us a sample of their fresh, in-house-made mozzarella, and it was absolute perfection -- soft, fresh, creamy, and exactly what fresh mozzarella should be. We took several subs to go, and every single one was delicious. I had The Vito's, which was incredibly satisfying -- packed with that classic Italian deli flavor and everything I had been craving in a sub, and then some. My partner had The Sophia Loren, which was also full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again. My mom had what I ordered as a custom Caprese sandwich since I could not find it on the extensive menu -- mutz, fresh basil, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, and herbs. It was so fresh, simple, and delicious. We also tried the arancini. The traditional one brought back memories of what used to be some of the best arancini in Chicago at Monastero's, which sadly is no longer around. That is not a comparison I make lightly. The cheese arancini was also wonderful, and the sauce was divine. Personal preference: I could have used just a touch more salt in the sauce, but the flavor was still excellent. Of course, we could not leave without dessert. The cannoli had the perfect balance of softness and crunch, and the filling was delicious. And naturally, we had to take home a pound of that fresh mutz. When we got home, we turned the leftovers into the perfect little Italian deli dinner. We thinly sliced the remaining halves of the subs, added fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, and wine. It became a charcuterie-style dinner that felt like the perfect ending to the trip. Taking a detour through Hoboken was absolutely worth it. Some Italian restaurants claim to treat you like family, but at Vito's & Son, we truly felt it. We are already planning another stop on our next trip because we still need to try the homemade freezer dishes -- and, of course, the homemade tiramisu. If you have not been to Vito's & Son Italian Deli, do yourself a favor and go. Authentic, welcoming, delicious, and completely worth the detour.
