I've been coming to Valerie for at least 6 years now, and there's no one else I would trust my eyebrows to. Valerie was trained by Anastasia Beverly Hills, which is why I began going to her (I was previously driving over an hour just to get my brows done at an Anastasia salon), and I've continued coming to her for the last few years because of the amazing job she does. She used to be located at a high end local tanning salon, but since Fall 2016 has been operating independently in her own spot in downtown Center City Philadelphia. It is a bit pricer ($30) than just getting your eyebrows done at your local nail salon, but I promise you it is so worth it! Your eyebrows are shaped in proportion to your eyes & nose, all while relaxing on a salon table. Valerie even uses a magnifier to ensure she does a precise job. You can pay via cash or credit. She also does eyebrow tinting ($30), which I plan on trying my next visit! My recommendation is to give her a try, and if you've never had your brows actually 'shaped' before, grow them out for a month or two before coming. You will thank me later!

I can't even begin to express how grateful I am that I connected with such a talented, beautiful,…read moreand kind soul. I had been growing my eyebrows out for 2+ months after I had a terrible wax experience. It is literally the most arduous task, waiting for your eyebrow hair to grow back. I felt like Chewbacca. This is why I researched and researched and read various reviews before deciding to reach out to Valerie. Let me say this, I normally don't write reviews; however, Valerie's talent, accommodation, beautiful craftsmanship, and overall energy absolutely warrant it! I was in Philly for the weekend for a Monday interview and I reached out to Valerie pretty late. Not only did she respond to me quickly, she accommodated me for a day outside of her normal hours. I am so appreciative of the time she took to do my eyebrows and the individual attention I received. Her studio is set up so that it is a truly a individualized and private experience. And a world-class eyebrow experience it was! She crafts your eyebrows specific to your face. It is amazing to be around individuals who are great but also passionate about what they do. It is a contagious and inspiring energy. Needless to say, I got the job. Looking great translates to feeling great. Feeling great leads to a huge confidence booster. Well ladies and gentlemen I have Valerie to thank for giving me confidence to kick but during my interview. Chewbacca who? Amazing eyebrows like what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Literally that's how I felt after I left Valerie's, and that's the energy that got me the job). Thanks Valerie!!

I finally pulled the trigger to get my eyebrows micro bladed this year as a self care measure cause…read morethis year sucked. To begin with, my eyebrows are super sparse so I had to fill them in everyday. Most of the time even the pomade came off half way through the day so then you're left with half brows haha. Anyway, did some research and looked at a lot of reviews. Forever Valentine hit every box I wanted and never knew I needed. Their appointments get filled up really fast so you have a keep an eye out on when they open them up. I snagged a spot with Susannah, but honestly all of them do amazing work. She made it super comfortable and my eyebrows came out amazing. Structured yet natural looking. They come out super dark in the beginning but then fade a bit as your skin accepts the ink and scabs. Aftercare is super important so make sure you do that and you're eyebrows will be amazing!!

I've been getting my brows microbladed by the same person for five years. When she moved to Forever…read moreValentine, I followed her there. However, when I called to make an appointment, I was told she no longer does microblading and that I needed to come in for a consultation. During the consult, I was told that my brows were too pigmented and needed lightening treatments before they could be redone. I went through a series of six lightening treatments, each costing around $150. After the treatments, I was finally able to get my brows done again. A year later, I received a message from the salon reminding me that it was time for my yearly touch-up. When I tried to schedule, I was informed that the artist who originally worked on my brows was no longer there. I was asked to send pictures of my brows to a new artist, which I did, and then asked when I could come in. I responded that I was available anytime. Later, I received a message saying I needed to come in for another consultation to make sure the new artist could do my brows, and only then could I schedule an appointment. Now, I'm being told once again that my brows are too pigmented and that I need to wait until December. I was told my brows had too much pigment when I first started going, and now I'm hearing the same thing again. The issue isn't that I'm not due for a touch-up; it's the frustrating scheduling process and inconsistent information. It's not my fault that my original artist is no longer there. I sent the requested pictures and was initially told the procedure could be done, only to later be told that I need another consultation and that my brows are too pigmented. I feel that there's a lack of honesty and transparency, and I'm not sure who or what to trust anymore.
