I first met Sophia at a different location and happily followed her when she opened the Beauty Lounge, that alone says everything about her talent and character. She is a master at her craft and a true professional. Whether it's dimensional color, seamless balayage, precision cuts, or restorative treatments, she consistently delivers beyond expectations. She doesn't just "match" an inspiration photo; she somehow elevates it and makes it even better, every single time. Sophia is incredibly knowledgeable about hair health. She takes the time to explain what my hair needs, recommends high-quality products, and suggests techniques to maintain strength, shine, and overall integrity between appointments. My hair has never felt healthier, it's stronger, shinier, and grows beautifully because of her guidance and care. Beyond her skill, Sophia is kind, compassionate, and genuine. Sitting in her chair feels like being at home. She listens, she cares, and she understands that helping someone feel beautiful is about so much more than just a cut or color. She creates an experience that leaves you feeling confident, refreshed, and truly seen. Her pricing is always fair and reasonable, and her professionalism never wavers. She is not just an exceptional stylist, she is a wonderful human being. If you make a same day appointment (not a walk in) you get the "oh well you're lucky we could accommodate you same day". I still went there pretty consistently since it's convenient to where I live, but the last time I asked the tech to make my nails a matte, and when I noticed she started to do glossy, I asked if matte was still happening. She forgot and sighed like it was my fault she made the mistake. The owner sitting next to her said to her "you wanted to stay late and make your money" when she was annoyed. I just said keep it glossy since I felt like I was inconveniencing her. That was my last visit so now I travel further to go somewhere else. Overall, can be good, but they have to like you. But it's not the most relaxing or enjoyable experience otherwise.

I also have a very strong preference for Indian salons, as threading for eyebrows is a part of their culture. Finding an Indian-owned salon to get my brows done in South Jersey was hard, until I found Padma's. Voorhees has a wide variety of Indian-owned stores ranging from clothing, to food, to salons. Padma's offers many types of salon services and henna. I have now been going every few weeks for my brow threading over the course of several months. Padma's is located in a strip mall in Voorhees. It's not your average fancy or aesthetically-pleasing salon. However, it offers a good variety of salon/spa services as well as Indian wedding makeup. The women who work here are dedicated and do a great job. Because Padma's is well-staffed, they are able to accommodate a good number of customers at once. For eyebrow threading/waxing, appointments aren't required. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to get my threading done. Overall, I really like this place. The women who work here all do a great job. While they're not focused on exceptional customer service, they still do their best to make conversation and be friendly. For anyone who is familiar with foreign-owned businesses, Padma's has some of that sentimental "back home" feel. Their pricing is also much lower than others in the area; they charge $6 for brows and $4 for upper lip. This place is a true gem; I always make sure to plan my threading around the times in the area.

There feels a lack of consistency in the massage itself, going to my low back and then back to my head and back to my low back etc..Pressure was decent and the spa itself is nice, with welcoming front desk staff, water after the massage, and reasonable prices. I would say prices commensurate with quality.
