I was super excited to go here and heard nothing but good things but sadly that was not my experience... I paid $200 to still have blonde in my hair and the red look chunky and not natural... I wanted a simple red balayage that would make my hair look good and if it wouldn't then I would have like to have been told that but instead I didn't get that. I sadly have to deal with it because I can't afford to fix it after paying for this... I won't be returning here.

We were called at 12:20pm and told they had double-booked themselves, and asked us to come at 1:30pm instead. We accommodated them & changed our plans to arrive at 1:30pm as requested. They actually called once again at 1:10pm to request we show up "Right Now". We were unable to get their sooner now, so she told us to come at 1:30pm. We showed up at 1:33pm. Instead of honoring our appointments, we were treated like walk-ins and waited while 3 other customers were taken ahead of us. At 2:15pm, only one of my two children had gotten into a chair. I can also add we watched another barber finish a cut then sit on his phone in the corner while he waited for a late client with an appointment. The woman working the front desk also extremely rude and unprofessional. Her communication with customers was disrespectful, and her overall presentation--walking around the shop in stretch pants and a faja with crop top hoodie and her hood up--was not what I would expect from someone representing a business and interacting with customers. She continued to make our wait uncomfortable as she talked trash about me in Spanish to another barber & to someone on the phone. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication, the hour-and-a-half wait with an appointment and the attitude we received made this experience unacceptable. After two years of being loyal customers, we will not be returning.

The hairstyle in my profile picture is actually her masterpiece. I wish I could afford to see Kathy more often, but I'm only a part time employee while I'm in college. That being said, she sees me when my hair is down to my lower back and starts misbehaving. I finally get to my wits end with the tangles and text her to get it cut. She knows my usual, and has come to expect it. I get a wash, condition, cut, and dry. I once asked her to cut it shorter than usual and she told me that she would cut it longer than that because she was sure I'd regret it. If I decided I did want it shorter after all, she'd fix it. She ended up being completely right. I loved the length she cut it to. Before I got my car, she actually drove me home from a hair appointment at one point. When I asked about getting my hair dyed, she asked if I was sensitive to the heavy metals in box dye, and informed me that doing it myself with a box would be cheaper. She actually looks out for the best interest of her clients. I have thick hair, in that I have a lot of it. The texture of my hair is actually very fine. Kathy has the same type of hair, so she knows what to do with it. At this point, even my sister has started going to see Kathy. If you're looking for a talented hair stylist that listens to your wants and needs, seriously think about seeing Kathy. Oh, and before I forget. The styling of my hair in my profile picture? I didn't ask for that or pay for that. My hair appointments just don't really take that long, so Kathy styles my hair free of charge when she's done.

After scrolling through instagram one day I came across Taisha's page. I booked for a silk press and was able to find an appointment within the next week. A few weeks later I returned to her for a wig install of a bob wig she made for me. I tend to run about 10 minutes late to my appointments and Taisha is always very accommodating. I am extremely tender headed and Taisha takes her time to accommodate me. Chatting with her is a blast, but she understands if I want to nap through the appointment also. The only issue i have is that her schedule doesn't allow for many evening appointments so I always have to come during my work hours. The alternative is to check the schedule of another stylist in the shop.
