DiMarco Masonry - Stone Chimney restoration

I had a dry-fit retaining wall that was sagging alarmingly, so I contacted DiMarco. Jim asked for…read morephotos, he couldn't make an accurate appraisal so he stopped by within a day or two. He gave me a plan on what he would do, and I could tell he knew his stuff by virtue of remedying causal factors for the leaning, including improper drainage. I also had him look at a 1957 original kitchen exhaust blower that was now a dead end and fall hazard, wanting it taken down -- which I couldn't do safely on my own -- and a frustrating area where water would come into my office when it rained hard with a lot of wind. Jim said all the right things, and I was very happy with his quote. He communicated well via email about when he could come. He and his crew showed up and did a fantastic job. They bricked in the gap where the exhaust came out, properly insulating and sealing as they did so, and painstakingly addressed the likely factors in the water intrusion. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I wish I had had him work on my chimney a couple of years ago instead of a certain other company who overcharged me and reneged on a necessary service they had promised but carefully not included in the contract. He would have done a better job and charged me less.

The integration of the new stone is seamless, making it impossible to distinguish from the original. We are very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to engage them for future projects. I highly recommend their services. (Before and after photos included)

    R & R Pools & Construction

    R & R Pools & Construction

Horrendous experience with this company from start to finish, they caused damage to my electrical…read moreline and just buried it and tried to pretend like it didn't happen. We had to hire an electrician to remedy the situation because our pool pump kept blowing the breaker when it never did that before and was a brand new pump. Prior to that they rescheduled on us three times, causing to be behind by a month and a half. you have to call multiple times over the course of weeks to try to get someone to speak to you on the phone, they won't communicate with you when they plan to show up unless you somehow get in touch with them. No one answers their main line. The most irritating problem that they did and didn't do a thing about is the concrete. They poured concrete and didn't make any cut lines, which caused it to crack in multiple spots less then 24 hours later. They were rude, the Owner raised his voice at us and had every rediculous excuse in the book on why it could have cracked (and why it wasn't his fault) and why he will not redo it and fix it. He tried putting some dust from the cement in the cracks to fill it in and put sealant over it, this made it look way worse and now those areas are darker than the rest it looks like total garbage. The cracks also split apart again where he put the dust after two days. No pride in their work, they rush to get out of here each day, pay no attention detail. My yard is littered with cigarette butts, pieces of scrap pipe, mounds of dirt, the liner they removed left it to kill my grass and apparently they don't haul it away for you. They never mentioned this till I asked and then we had to figure out how to remove it from the yard. They had to drill a hole in the pool house to run a new pipe, the hole they made was insanely large way bigger then needed. They never filled it back in so now I just have a massive hole in the side of my building to try and figure out what to do with. The ladders were covered in cement splatter, had to ask them to clean it, they tried but there's still cement on them and the one that was worse off is now no longer shiny stainless it is more of a brushed nickel look because of all the scrubbing he had to do, so now one is shiny one is not. When they drained the pool they drained it into the road, I have multiple acres of land behind my house that it should of went to, they never asked where to drain it. Which caused someone to complain to the water company and the water company came out to inspect the issue. It is illegal in my town to flood your street with any kind of water, it was causing a traffic scene. The liner has rocks and bits of debris under it, you can feel how sharp they are with your feet and see it protruding the liner, parts of it is so bad it's stretched the liner and can see discloration where the sharp rock is poking. so I am sure this will be an issue with a leak in due time. Never once did the owner say the words I am sorry for any of these issues, poor communication skills and customer service. I had asked for a refund for the issues he caused and never got a response. if you plan to use them good luck!

They retaliated by trying to bill me over $100 for my included free pool closing that was part of our contract. Promised to remedy some other issues through BBB but they did not.
