Nothing in life is free -- and the things that are, usually cost more in the long run -- but McClellands did a good, solid job and for a reasonable price. Happy to recommend them. The friend who recommended them to me, did me a good turn. He's still happy with the roof they did for him a couple years ago. I'm happy with the roof they did for me 4 months ago (end of March, 2025). Vince and Nate, the guys who did the quote, did a good job of patiently answering all my questions and helping adjust the quote to meet my needs. They also warned me (and included estimates) for some of the unknowns -- when they got the roof off, they found some of the sheathing needed to be replaced. You don't really know what you're going to find until you tear off the old roof. It was still quite reasonable in the end, and I have the peace of mind of knowing that it was done right. There were also a few other details that Devin and his guys spotted and addressed, proactively, without additional charges. Devin, the McClelland's guy at the house when the work was actually done, was happy to answer my questions, and really knew his stuff. Juan and his crew, the McClelland's trade partners (think subcontractor but better -- Devin said they work exclusively with McClellands) worked hard, and took a lot of care to not create nor leave behind a mess. Those guys were on the ball. read more

If you need a roofer in Pittsburgh, I highly recommend McClellands Contracting & Roofing! Nathan from McClelland's Roofing was just at my house for an estimate and I had to stop and write this review! The whole process was easy and painless. I searched online first, and my goal was to find affordable roofers in my area. There were many positive reviews for McClellands Roofing, so I made an appointment for a free estimate with Carol, and she confirmed the day before. Nathan arrived on time and thoroughly described my gutter repair issue. He took pictures of the problem to show me exactly what was wrong and gave me a detailed written estimate, describing every aspect of the job. He even replaced my chimney cap while he was up there! He was extremely friendly and helpful. :D We opted to replace the gutter guards with higher-quality ones, as Nathan suggested. They are also doing the gutter cleaning and are making sure the gutters are sloped properly. I could easily see how the original ones failed and why they failed by the pictures he took. They will be back to do the work in a few weeks, and the price was less than what I expected! If you need gutter repair or replacement, roof repair or replacement, or if you need someone other than your 50-year-old husband to climb on the roof to replace a chimney cap that blew off in a storm, call McClellands! read more

My mother's roof needed to be replaced so I reached out to two roofing contractors and based on the information McClellands roofing provided (I.e. the back side of the house required a rolled shingle due to low pitch and better ventilation was needed on the entire roof) We decided to hire their team for the job even though the price was a little higher, I felt they truly cared about doing it right. They were able to get it on their schedule within a weeks time which was a godsend since my mothers ceiling in one room fell down due to the heavy wind and rains we had this summer. The roof looks amazing and they took care of all our concerns. They also have a maintenance service to inspect and repair any issues that may arise in the future. The roof looks amazing and the cleanup was fantastic! They are very professional, friendly and their project portal made the whole process very easy! I highly recommend McClellands roofing to anyone who needs a new roof! read more

We recently had our entire house resided by McClellands Contracting and Roofing LLC, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Rick from sales was fantastic to work with. He was knowledgeable, straightforward, and took the time to walk us through the siding options and explain the process without any pressure. Dustin, the project manager, kept everything organized and running smoothly. Communication was great throughout the project, and he made sure everything stayed on schedule and was done properly. Dave and the installation crew did outstanding work. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out, and they kept the work area clean and professional the whole time. The finished siding looks amazing . If you're looking for a company that is professional, reliable, and takes pride in their work, I highly recommend McClellands Contracting and Roofing read more

I could not be more pleased with the service provided by McClellands Contracting and Roofing. Our 100-year-old Regent Square home has terra cotta roofing tiles. When a storm caused a large tree to fall and severely damage our roof, McClellands was able to find roofing tiles of the same design and custom fit them. They also replaced damaged box gutters and soffits panels. McClellands is tops in communication. Whenever I called our McClellands lead repairman, he either always answered my call or quickly returned it. The McClellands work crews were very skilled and did a great cleanup job when their work was done. I strongly recommend McClellands for your roofing needs. read more

I am so glad I selected McClellands Contracting & Roofing to do my roofing project. Everyone I worked with on my project was friendly and responsive. This company did exactly what they said they were going to do, exactly when they said they were going to do it. They started the job when they promised. I had them replace the roof on my two-story home, put in a new skylight, replace the existing skylight, put in new gutters, downspouts, and gutter guards. My project was completed in two days!! I have worked with other contractors on other projects and McClellands is the best that I have ever worked with. Everything I had them do on my home was perfect. read more

I contracted with McClellands Contracting and Roofing LLC to repair a section of gutter and roof. After they fixed that section I was still experiencing a minor leak. They had also told me I was missing some slate on the roof. I contracted with them to replace the slates that were missing and had the hope it would fix the leak. After the scheduled repairs were made, I still had the problem with a leak. They continued to work until the issue was repaired. FOR NO Additional PAYMENT. I was impressed with their work ethic and commitment to solving the issue. I would strongly recommend their services. read more

We are very pleased with McClelland's Roofing. We needed a gable vent repaired and were having problems finding a company that would take the job because it was considered to be too small. But McClelland did! The service rep, Jesse, was courteous and friendly, and very efficient! He completed our job quickly and with no additional issues. And we certainly were pleased with the outcome! We will be using McClelland's for our future roofing needs and will refer them to our friends! read more

Contacted the company and Jesse came out and was very responsive and thorough with what the issue was and what needed to be done. His follow up was great and did everything that he said he would do. Very appreciative since contractors are a shot in the dark as half don't call back. Thanks Jesse read more
