Came to Santa cruise for a little vacation and found this restaurant. By far the best ramen noodles I've had!! I highly recommend you try the Ko Ramen!! 10/10! read more

Sapporo Ramen - Ko Ramen on the bottom. Spicy Miso Ramen on the top - Ramen Near Me - Capitola, California

For me, it was 1 star. But I could see why some people might think this place is reasonably good. Prices are fair for quantity and quality. Quality is "OK." Service wasn't great. It took over 30 minutes to get served our meals. A bit of a let-down. Definitely not returning. read more

Overall this place is pretty great. I haven't tried a lot of the ramens but the ko ramen is super creamy, has delicious thick cuts of pork and was pretty good. The egg was over cooked however and the ramen has limited toppings. The staff was very kind and the food is ready quickly however currently no options for dine-in but they are offering menu prices for lunch prices for dinner entrees! Would love if they had a spicy add-in or black garlic sauce! Will definitely be back to try more from their menu! read more

These guys are the best!!! So communicative, and they even let me switch out the broth for my delicious ramen. Thanks for being so reliably excellent, Sapporo Ramen! read more

Ordered the Ko Ramen. Broth was flavorful, but soft boiled egg and pork belly were over cooked. It's whatever though. Ramen and Pho spots aren't plentiful in town, it'll do. I'll come back. read more

Read some of the previous reviews and I have to disagree. Service and food here was great. Portions are large and prices are super competitive. My husband loves Ramen and always searches out new spots. This one, we are lucky is close to home and delicious. The garlic ademame is soooo good. If not served super piping hot. But it's hard to stop once you start in on the flavors. read more

Absolutely the BEST ramen I've ever had in Santa Cruz! The garlic ramen is to die for, and the lovely people who work there are sweet and efficient. I don't go a month without suddenly craving Sapporo Ramen and needing it immediately! read more

For COVID accommodations, they offer pick up/take out. The ramen perfect and didn't skimp on using good broth. Will return!

The Ko ramen is literally sent from the gods. Great place, small hole in the wall and totally worth it.

Absolutely delicious, meat was tender. It was a good experience for my friends who never had ramen before. We all definitely will come back to enjoy another one read more

Sapporo Ramen - Appitizer in the center was Asian spicy meat and we all got Ko ramen - Ramen Near Me - Capitola, California

The food is so good! We started with the Goyza, which was very good, and then each got a bowl,of ramen. The Ko ramen is rich in flavor and the soft boiled egg and super crispy pork belly on top is perfect. so so good! The spicy miso ramen broth is also amazing, definitely has a little kick to it and they serve it with a huge fried chicken leg! Portions are huge, we definitely had leftovers. Service was great, very attentive waitress. The ambience could use some love, it was very quiet while we ate... Maybe some soft background music? read more

Never have I ever left a restaurant without finishing the meal because it wasn't good until now. Ordered Kobe and Ko ramen. Both were not good, very bland, the huge piece of steak in the Kobe ramen didn't have any flavor plus tasted really old (which was very awkward to have in the bowl). Worst ramen ever. Place doesn't look the best either read more

really good food i love it here. props to the man here, he seems like he's trying really hard.

We ordered to go and the food was amazing! Ramen broth and noodles were super hot and fresh when we picked it up. The pork belly was melt in your mouth, the broth was rich and creamy. Very good customer service as well. We will continue coming here! read more

The longest wait in a restaurant ever! Ordered ramen and waited for 50 minutes...apparently" two more minutes " means 15+ minutes when I asked if my order was ready after 30 minutes wait. As for the ramen, I could only give it 5/10. Totally waste of time and money. read more

Best ramen place in Santa Cruz given that it's the only ramen place in Santa Cruz. Waited nearly an hour to get served one of the blandest and most mediocre bowls of ramen I've had in my life. They also had a suspicious amount of ramen bowls with broccoli. Garlic noodles were really good though. read more

Their ko ramen was very good, but the coconut shoyu broth is terrible. Would not order that one again. Ever. Sounds great in theory, but had a sickeningly sweet taste. Otherwise the pork slices in the ko ramen were very large. Great for quantity. Not so great for quality. 3.5 stars overall. If I had nothing else to do I'd come here again. read more

Legit ramen spot tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. The decor is sparse and there only seemed to be two folks working the floor and the food prep. Great selection of appetizers, we ordered the shishito peppers and agedashi. We were not disappointed. For the main we ordered Ko ramen to get an idea of the rest of the menu. The broth was flavorful and creamy and the pork belly was the perfect level of soft with crunchy bits. I wish there was a bit more greenery to choose from to add to the ramen. Overall this seems like the place to work your way through the menu over several visits. Will definitely be back! Can't wait to try some of the vegetarian ramen options of which there are plenty. read more

The restaurant is by new leaf market. Easy to park which is a big plus. The ramen and broth were delicious. We got take out and the food was prepared well. The broth was separated from the rest of the food which was a big plus. We had the spicy miso which wasn't very spicy at all but had good flavor. The chicken that' went with it was tasty. The ko was the other ramen. The pork belly was cooked well and very filling. We ate the ramen for lunch and dinner with a little left over. read more

My friend and I decided to try out this new ramen place instead of going to our usual place, Kaito. When we first walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. The menu was very extensive: lots of options to choose from. We ordered the Sapporo wings, the Ko ramen, and the spicy miso ramen. The wings were pretty good. The ramen portions were huge (we should've just ordered one and shared) and my friend enjoyed the Ko ramen. I thought the spicy miso ramen broth was a little bland but the chicken and the ramen noodles were pretty good. I took off 2 stars because of how awkward the environment was. It took a while for them to come back to actually take our order after seating us and we couldn't exactly wave them down because they were behind the podium and couldn't see us. When we got our food, the chef stood around the corner and watched us eat. We noticed that he did not do that just to us but to the other customers as well. It was really weird and made us a little uncomfortable. read more

I went here twice about 3 weeks apart. Both times I received friendly and quick service. The ramen was excellent, good portion, and really delicious. The first bowl had me constantly craving a second one (i had the basic pork belly tonkatsu style, forget the name). The downside? Both times I ate here I ended up sick to my stomach and using the bathroom a lot afterwards. The restaurant smelled a little funky both times also, and it makes me wonder if there is an issue with cleanliness. I would love to get more of their yummy ramen, but its just not worth the side effects. Haven't seen other people make the same comments on here, so maybe i just had bad luck twice? read more

This place was pretty awesome. Thought I was going to break the bank coming here since we saw the prices on menu online, but turns out they slashed their prices, making the trip well worth it. Get the Ko. Dude, its fricken good. I'd give it 5 stars, but thought there was some stuff floatin' in the water they gave us... but who cares its just water, 5 stars! read more

Ended up getting really sick so the boyfriend and I decided to try out the ramen here before heading back home. Loved the fact that there were options for us to chose from since we both don't eat pork... I ordered the Tom yum soup and he ordered the spicy miso... Great food at a great price. We will be visiting next time we're in Santa Cruz read more

17.99 for a bland bowl of ramen. If you add enough sriracha and soy sauce it's better.

Fabulous menu and incredibly tasty dishes. Was so hungry and was near New Leaf shopping so stopped to grab a few dishes. I ordered the a #11 Roussel Sprouts appetizer (yum), and the #30 Curry Karrage Ramen. We will be returning! Restaurant owners are wonderful and so accommodating. read more

Jinya in San Jose is not that far really lol go there instead trust me. Waited for like 45 min for something I could've likely microwaved.

Wow, Santa Cruz finally has a great ramen place! I would highly recommend checking this place out. They have an extensive menu, friendly staff, and the food was delicious. I had the Ko Ramen, which is a pork based broth. I really enjoyed it, and the portion was huge. It was creamy and smooth, the noodles were good and the pork was delicious. For those of you that are vegetarian, they have options for you too! The owner of the restaurant owns Poke Bowl over in midtown, and I spoke with him for a bit, he's a really nice guy who is proud of his craft. He let me have a taste of his Japanese style curry and it was delicious. Definitely worth going here if you're taking the trek to San Jose to get ramen. I can't wait to go back and try the other interesting things on the menu! read more

Sapporo Ramen - Ramen Near Me - Capitola, California

Best Ramen place in Santa Cruz! Modest Decour, but delicious food. The staff are very friendly and kind. This is my new staple noodle house for Santa Cruz, cannot recommend it enough read more

I was really excited about a ramen place gracing Santa Cruz! I ordered the Ko Ramen (standard pork ramen) and instead was brought the fried chicken ramen. I don't really know why anyone would want breaded fried chicken in hot soup (???). I told the waitress my order was wrong, she took it away. When I asked how long it'd be for them to make my order (10min) I decided I would just eat the messed up order because I was HUNGRY. Flavors were good, still a mystery why you'd want breaded chicken in soup. Was surprised they didn't even comp my order after getting it wrong? Hopefully they get their shit together soon. read more

Great Ramen shop. I had the Ko ramen and loved it. The chef, Jackson, is very warm and welcoming. On par with the best in Japan. Highly recommended! read more

Amazing ramen. The noodles have the perfect firmness, the broth is good, the toppings they throw in are more diverse than any other ramen place I've been to, and the portions are HUGE. The prices are also very affordable. This is the ramen place all ramen places should aspire to be. read more

Great food, great service. Large servings, wonderful kale and edamame appetizer. Cozy, homie feeling.

My garlic noodles tasted like top ramen. Salty and no sauce. The bone broth was not good either. If bad food wasn't enough the clerk who checked us out screamed "pay, pay, pay! This was a bad experience I won't repeat. read more

The food was great! And the service was great! I wish I had pictures but I really recommend the spicy miso, definitely a place worth checking out. read more

My friends and I heard there was a new ramen place in town so we decided to check it out. Their menu had a lot of options and their portions are huge! One bowl is at least 2 servings, so it's pretty worth it for the price. They also have 2 different prices for lunch and dinner, so i'm not sure if the dinner portions are bigger. But overall their ramen is good. I took 2 stars off for the service and environment. We walked in and weren't greeted by the server although she did notice us and was just standing around for a bit. We ended up standing in the middle of the place waiting for about 5 minutes before she greeted and sat us down. After seating us down, she took a while to give us the menus. The resturant only had about 5 tables, so the place is pretty small. There was no music and no one around us were talking, so my friends and I felt awkward. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the service. The food gets 4 because all my friends got ramen with a soft boiled egg, but it was NOT a soft boiled egg. That being said, for 1 person working- the customer service was amazing, our food was hot and fresh. An overall great experience. read more

We were excited with the menu especially the house curries. Unfortunately, we got home and discovered the coconut rice, veggies and curry sauce were missing from our order. Also, one of our ramen entrees was not flavorful and mostly consisted of noodles, very little pork and veggies (Ko). On the flip side, the person handling the "to go" orders was very pleasant. read more

The Ko ramen is amazing! We tried the scallop and pork belly skewers- they were delicious. Gyoza is flavorful and super crispy. Will be back again. read more

Look. This place wasn't good. The prices are high, and the food was just okay. The ambiance is bad, and the service was pretty off. I had read people saying that this place was the new spot for Ramen, but I would recommend avoiding it for a couple months. Let them see if they get their groove down or not. Also, they do not have a liquor license yet. The food prices are HIGH for what it is. Kaito has better ramen, much nicer service, better location and is basically the same price if not cheaper. Wait this restaurant out for a bit. Not worth the money right now. read more

Finally a legit ramen house has come to Santa Cruz! This inconspicuous place will take off once folks discover it. It's pretty new and getting started well! Prices and menu adjusted nicely. You have to get the Spicy rice cakes (OMG) and Ko ramen! Soooo good I didn't want it to end but my tummy said no more. I'll be back. read more
