Nice quiet spot with friendly staff and all the amenities, (good food, shower, washroom), first time stopping and it was nice

Stopped by for a fill up on our road trip. Clean bathrooms with a sink in each stall as well as one in the main area of the rest area. Quaint store with a little of everything including showers and laundry for the OTR truck drivers. Look for the giant coffee pot in the sky when heading into Clearfield and you'll find your way. read more

I want to give a very special thank you to Vickie Carr the store manage! I came to the store the summer of 2023 and made some purchases and forgot my hat, I did not realize it till like a week late, I called the store to ask if I had left it and Vickie was so helpful and told me I did and offered to mail it to me I told her I come thru there a lot and I'm mostly on the road I would just pick it up. She said she would leave it under the cabinet for me. Well I never got a load going back that way until February 29 2024 . And I stopped to get me a coffee and said let me take a chance and ask not really expecting it to still be there being how long it had been. When the cashier pulled the bag out I was so surprised and so grateful it was not even about the hat at this point it was the great customer service and keeping their word. This store is pretty clean, old fashioned and reliable. I love it. There is great varieties of merchandise include groceries, clothing, souvenirs, and even food. The bathroom is very convenient. Each bathroom stall has its own trash can and sink and I think that that is the best thing here for us truck drivers. read more

I needed gas so I stopped into the familar place. Lots of trucks, lots of souvineers in the shoppe, plenty of grab and go items as well as a large and ample assortment of Beef Jerky. I appreciated that each stall in the rest room area was large and had it's own sink. I just thought it was a nice thing to not have to wait in line for a sink and if you were traveling and wanted to really freshen up with out waiting for one of the showers it would be really easy there. Stopped for the bathrooms and was (happily) shocked by how nice they were! Multiple private rooms within the women's bathroom that allowed space for changing, with a private sink and mirror as well. Very nice! read more

Every time we pass the sign for this place (an enormous coffee pot) on Route 80, we say we're going to stop sometime. And today we finally did. As you are coming off the road from Rt 80, pull into the first driveway for the restaurant (the 2nd is for gas station). In case you didn't realize by now, this is a truck stop. As for the restaurant part...the coffee is very good. They have a large, all you can eat buffet. Not my thing, but if it is yours It's $9.99 pp, includes soup, salad and dessert items. It was being refilled while we were there. Always a good sign, I think. It could also be useful to know, they serve breakfast all day. As for our food- the bf had the grilled Cajun chicken. He said it was tender, but not too spicy. The sides seemed to come straight out of a can. I had a grilled cheese, honestly, not the greatest (cheese not melted enough), but it was ok. They have a large & well priced selection of pies. We didn't get to try them, but they looked decent. Overall, the prices were very reasonable, the menu not particularly interesting and the portion sizes, average to smallish. Our waitress was super sweet. Since there are very few non fast food choices in this area and it wasn't terrible, you may want to give it a try. 2 1/2 stars read more

We were here just for the coffee because of the previous reviews. I think the coffee is very weak, although it is smooth tasting. If mid-western style coffee is your thing, this will be your perfect coffee stop. I prefer stronger coffee (think Dunkin Donut) and find this place a little disappointing. That said the service was very friendly, our waitress was not annoyed that we didn't order food. Their buffet and food looked very good, nothing fancy but probably better than the big fast food chains. We will be happy to go back for the food and service but skip the coffee. read more

Husbands truck broke down 13 miles away from Sapp Bros. They sent someone out to replace the $4.00 hose that had blown out. Took the person about 40 seconds to install the hose. Husband was charged almost $500 for the service call. Needless to say it was highway robbery 100%. We will NEVER use them again and will be happy to let everyone we know not to use them. read more

Truck drivers watch when you get your trucks serviced at the clearfield pa terminal. I found 6 grease fittings that were not attended to. My hood fittings. My steering shaft and two fittings on my front springs if theyre missing these what else are they not doing. Never settle for half a## ed work. read more

We are outraged with our experience! We have stopped and had many oil changes, break adjustments, oil filters etc.. On 1-30-2016 We got the oil filters changed on our truck at your garage in Clearfield, PA and The filter was not tightened all the way! We called your mechanic to came out to bring us more oil, we tightened it by hand twice, when your guy arrived he also tightened it 2 1/2 time with his filter wrench. then put the oil in he had brought with him. We had to have this truck towed to the garage, and your manager Robert at your Clearfield, pa garage came took outside pictures of the truck which was at hunters in Smithfield, pa! and said he wasn't paying for a thing. The truck was not tore down to see the damage that has been done to the motor. Then your Corporate manger calls us (Chris parker) because I said I was getting an attorney! he's in Omaha, Nebraska trying to tell us what is wrong with our truck! He has no idea. The truck ran fine upon arrival it carried 71lbs of oil pressure ,and after departure problems started. I have pictures and videos of the truck what it looks and what the engine sounds like. There is damage done to the engine and Sapp brothers is at fault for it. Several certified mechanics said that Sapp Brothers is at fault. Now the truck carries less then 50lbs of oil pressure. You should own up to your mistakes and make it right. The garage where we had it towed said the filter not being tight and the loss of oil caused the damages to the engine. I'm sure Chris Parker will get a notch under his belt and a bonus for saving your huge company money by being not fair, and not taking actions for your employees mistakes. Now our only source of income is gone because you cant trust a garage to do their part in doing what their suppose to do. We will never go to Sapp brothers again and I'll be sure to spread the word of your dishonest and not taking responsibility to own up to your mistakes. read more
