I went through to Paisley to visit a friend and she suggested that we go to Saporito for afternoon tea. Who am I to turn to afternoon tea? It was a cute place and we got a table straight away. The staff are really friendly and know their stuff! You got to select a sandwich, cake and scone of your choice with free tea or coffee refills for £8.95 each. One of the best deals EVER!! In particular, the fruit scone deserves a mention - it was one of the best I've ever had! Had a lovely time catching up with a old friend and I was really impressed. A little very wine bar located just under the bridge at Gilmour Street, heAding onto the pedestrian precinct. Staff were lovely, attentive and the cocktails were delicious and average priced. The bar is bright and modern but still comfortable. There was a mix if clientele and tonight they had entertainment....a singer, piano, guitar. I liked that this was background and we were still able to enjoy our company, but we were also able to get up for a dance and a wee sing along. Will try again and next time I'll try their food. read more

With the new posh apartments being thrown up around this area of Paisley, the people who live in them would probably have been disappointed by the roll shoaps, the chippies and the spit and sawdust pubs that were round about here. So I think there was a gap in the market for a nice coffee shop where you can go for your breakfast on a Sunday morning. I'm a Sapporito regular. It's worth the wee wonder down. The coffee is excellent-especially the white chocolate Mocha. The food is good too- especially the BBQ pulled pork panini. However, for what you pay, you don't get a lot of it. The breakfast paninis are great, especially the bacon and Salami. It doesn't sound like it would make a good combination but it does. Really what sets this place apart from the rest is the absolutely fabulous cakes. I've had a Bailey's Cheesecake and an Oreo cheesecake and both were tantalising. You also get the feeling that Saporito is a bit of a community hub-it was really involved in the Paisley Music Week and there is also a book club that meets regularly too! What really makes this place though, is the staff, and their attitude towards what they're doing. They're lovely and always have smiles on their faces. Pay a visit whenever you're about. read more

I'm a semi-regular at Saporito - it does a lovely coffee and the front and middle rooms are comfortable and pleasant. If it's really busy you can get stuck in the COLD back room with a silent telly in the corner and bad lighting (it would be better if they put some glass in the back door and/or improved the lighting as it is in the middle). The drinks are lovely, and it's open until 8pm which makes it a great change from a pub or full on restaurant.The food I can't comment on so much, as there's little for the gluten intolerant to choose from (baked potatoes and ice cream, mostly) although the ice cream is delightful :) It's local, it's really pleasant and there's nothing to touch it in Paisley right now. I've only ever managed to get a wi-fi signal in the front room. read more

aporito, is a lovely Paisley eatery. The cakes are amazing and if you opt for to use the take away service, they are at the bargain price of 3 for £5. We had an Oreo cheesecake, a giant toffee éclair and a passion fruit cheesecake.They provide a free cake box so that you can get the cakes safely home...if you can resist eating them on the way home! If this place was in Glasgow the cakes would easily be £3.50+ each. For ice cream fans, there are plenty of ice cream flavours on offer and the scoops are very generous, which means that one scoop is more than enough. The Panini's and crepes are tasty and come with a side salad that actually tastes pretty good. Whenever we get soup it's always full of flavour and there are usually a couple of different soups on the go at the same time. Cold drinks are served in a chilled glass which is a refreshing touch and the iron bru comes in a glass bottle. The staff are always friendly and helpful which adds to the overall experience. Love this place, and I cannot recommend it enough. read more
