He is a caring and skilled professional who prefers conservative measures. Patient comfort is very important to him. He waited to invest in a digital x-ray machine until he was convinced that the technology had improved enough that the patient would be comfortable. I have had a couple of crowns and a filling or two done by Dr. Roan and he is very good with the novacaine; I have never had the slightest twinge of pain during any procedures (and I'm a dental fraidy-cat). Recently I had to replace an old oral appliance and Dr. Demarest made recommendations based on my sleep apnea. I've tried C-Pap machines but with claustrophobia couldn't tolerate that device, so with an upgraded mouth guard designed for sleep apnea I've had great success with the oral appliance as treatment. I'm one of those "chickens" when it comes to any kind of dental work and they've always been compassionate and patient with my phobias.
