He is a caring and skilled professional who prefers conservative measures. Patient comfort is very important to him. He waited to invest in a digital x-ray machine until he was convinced that the technology had improved enough that the patient would be comfortable. I have had a couple of crowns and a filling or two done by Dr. Roan and he is very good with the novacaine; I have never had the slightest twinge of pain during any procedures (and I'm a dental fraidy-cat). He and his staff are very good with teaching effective self-care techniques. The hygienists and administrative staff who work there are also very skilled and professional. They keep right on schedule, too; every time I have been there they have taken me right on time.

My family and I have always had the same hygienist Cindy. Cindy was a genuine person and took her profession serious. Well the last 1 1/2 years Cindy wasn't available for what ever reason. I demanded I wanted Cindy and they stated "they had a new hygienist and were moving patients around." I immediately called the office manager Karen. Karen is a 5 star and is the glue that holds that office together. Next cleaning appointment 6 months later and bam no Cindy. Excuse given is she out because father is sick. No problem and I had a different hygienist who was great. I went back yesterday after another 6 months and it was literally the cleaning from hell. The hygienist called my name and was down the hall entering the room. She never introduced her self. Once she proceeded one would know she was in a rush. Barely cleaned my teeth in under 10 minutes. Once completed she asked would I like anything. I felt like a lollipop would do but politely answered I've always been handed a toothbrush. One would have thought I asked her for a miracle. When I left no goodbye or anything. Let me state I have a business and if I acted this way I would be out of business in no time at all. Dr Gagnon walked into the office this morning beside me WITHOUT A MASK ON and walked right past his employee doing temp checks. Disgusting. You ask all your patients and staff to take these precautions to keep you safe but you won't do the same for us? After my cleaning he came into my exam room, went straight to the computer, didn't even look at me and said that I could pick between white or silver filling. Didn't even explicitly state that I had a filling. I then asked some clarifying questions and had to ask him to show me which tooth he was talking about. The worst quality of care I've ever experienced. It was also so obvious that he was behind on schedule from being late to work and tried to rush out before he could even finish answering my questions. Honestly a safety hazard to see a doctor that won't get his temp checked and will walk into the front office in sweat pants, a tourist t shirt and flip flops sans mask. Never coming back.

I had a wisdom tooth extracted (at 59 years old), and everything from the pre-visit registration, the consultation, the surgery and post op instructions were clear, professional and extremely thorough examining every part of my mouth, teeth and jaw. The staff called upon receiving the referral from my dentist to have the tooth removed to schedule an appointment proactively, and explained that they do not take insurance but will submit a claim on your behalf should you provide your insurance info. They provided an estimate that I thought was very reasonable, including IV sedation, and I knew my insurance deductible and coverage would probably not cover much. The dental assistant that worked with the Dr. was super kind and thorough. She gathered my husbands name and contact info, my pharmacy, allergies and other details and wrote them on a whiteboard in the room. All the details! So efficient but lots of time spent with me to give me top notch care. I am so grateful!

I was told that I could not speak with the Doctor or even receive a call from her at a later time. I couldn't send a complaint in the mail since the Office "Manager" opens the mail. Her behavior was so unprofessional I want to switch offices, but my child is in the middle of treatment and nobody else will take transfer patients mid-treatment. The fact that I don't have any access to speak with the Doctor who treats my young child is very disturbing and unusual. As a professional myself, I am horrified by Cheryl's rude behavior and unfortunately Yelp was my only way to let the Doctor (and unfortunately others) know.
