Two/three of us left the practice crying because of the dentist's lack of bedside manner and apparent contempt for even saying hello like a human being, let alone a healthcare professional. The only reason for the 2 stars is because the three dental hygeneists we saw were wonderful - kind, empathetic, and tried to make us feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable overall experience.

I first saw him when another dentist wanted…read moreto do an invasive and expensive procedure, and Dr. Roan was able to successfully treat my problem with a much more conservative (and less expensive) treatment. He is a caring and skilled professional who prefers conservative measures. Patient comfort is very important to him. He waited to invest in a digital x-ray machine until he was convinced that the technology had improved enough that the patient would be comfortable. I have had a couple of crowns and a filling or two done by Dr. Roan and he is very good with the novacaine; I have never had the slightest twinge of pain during any procedures (and I'm a dental fraidy-cat). He and his staff are very good with teaching effective self-care techniques. The hygienists and administrative staff who work there are also very skilled and professional. They keep right on schedule, too; every time I have been there they have taken me right on time.

I'm so glad I gave this office a chance. From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. The receptionist, dental hygienist, and dentist all made me feel comfortable and respected. I need quite a bit of dental work, which can feel overwhelming, but they took the time to explain everything and put me at ease. The dentist worked with me to create a treatment plan and reassured me that we would take things one step at a time. That simple approach made such a difference. There was a curved root that made the process difficult, and the professionals performing and assisting the procedure did everything they could to make me as comfortable as possible during it. As I was checking out afterwards a staff member thought I appeared a little unsteady and had me sit. I was then evaluated and attended to and assisted and watched over as if it was my family caring for me. I was told to make myself comfortable and to stay as long as I wanted. When I was later ready to go I was told to be sure to let them know I got home safely. I feel lucky to have found this dental practice and I will be staying with them and have sung their praises to friends and family.
