Professional development-Heather provided one on one strengths training and career coaching that has been super impactful on my career. She is able to understand people very easily and advises from a non-judgemental, empathetic perspective. She provided strengths finder training in a group setting to one of our departments and the feedback I received was that the training was one of the greatest learning moments in their career, breaking down communication barriers that helped the team solve long standing problems that helped them to work better together. Reiki-I saw Heather for my reiki session after what I would consider to be one of the most challenging weeks of my career. I was also dealing with some long standing personal issues that I could not move past. To give you perspective, I cried most of the way to her office (and I am not much of a crier :) I can't explain the feeling that occurred during the session but Heather was a fabulous guide. I felt comfortable and safe and came out of it feeling like a weight had literally been lifted from my body. Afterwards, I was able to have a long overdue crucial conversation, speaking my truth in a clear concise way that I couldn't even imagine before. It was life changing and only after one session. Heather is insightful, impactful, and one of the most understanding people I have met. She really does the work for herself (aka she walks the walk) which allows her to connect with others and help them in deep and meaningful way. I recommend Heather and Lighten Up Energy for EVERYONE who wants to work on themselves in ANY way!

I have found myself utilizing the techniques that she taught me on my own -- they come through me as if it were always my natural way of communicating! And the best part - it wasn't a long process! Her ability to connect me to my highest form of communication felt smooth and simple. Where I once felt frozen and incapable, I now feel confident to effectively tune into my own experience and share my needs and boundaries, while considering all parties involved. She's a master, and I'm SO grateful to receive her relationship coaching and support.

This was no exception. Dawn has an innate ability to find problematic muscle(s) and melt them away. Dawn spent one hour on my traps and upper back with the majority of the focus being on the problematic left trapezius area. She wasted no time, everything she did had purpose, and I walked out of there with significantly less pain and much more range of motion than when I walked in. Dawn has an authentic, warm, and positive energy to her and is a great conversationalist (which is much needed when you have lots of trouble areas that need work). She knows how to moderate the amount of force she is using and is very in tune with how you are responding to the massage. Flowersong is open on weekends (which seems to be sort of rare for places like this in Durango) and Dawn was quick to respond to the text messages we exchanged with her when figuring out the logistics of where her office was located. The only downside is that we are not local to Durango, CO so we (my girlfriend and myself) won't be able to come back regularly. No matter what size of patient you are, Dawn will be able to take care of you. You can find more information on Dawn here: http://www.flowersongherbals.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Flowersong/timeline

It's always tough on my (addicted) crossfit routine when I travel, but not when I visit Durango! First, the gym is attractive, with a large garage door that opens on a nice day to allow a fully unobstructed view of the mountains. They also have a beautiful, energetic, colorful mural across the wall. Most important, their trainers are awesome - very welcoming to drop ins and gave great coaching points. Even though I've been doing CrossFit several years, it is great to get the input to keep improving form. The locals are also super friendly and gave many suggestions for activities around this terrific area. I look forward to my next visit to Durango and Crossfit Durango.
