I spent the first 20 minutes of my massage wondering if the masseuse liked me or not. After I decided to let that go, I had a lovely time. When I got off the massage table, I'm pretty sure I levitated for at least a couple seconds. It was like no time had passed but also enough time for me to be reborn. I will return. read more

So glad there was an appointment available! I had the pleasure to have Allison as my therapist. I booked an 85 minute cupping session. I did indulge in the hot tub & cold plunge prior to my session. Brought hubby along to enjoy the amenities ($18 walk in plus towel rental). Before my session, Allison & I went over what body parts to focus on. I mentioned I'm also a big fan of the hot stones. And during the session, she included them also. After riding more than 2600 miles on the motorcycles to get to Durango (and still pushing more than 600 to get home)- my body really needed this. I literally walked out of Amaya with no aches and soothed out muscles. Allison gave my back a nice adjustment & worked out a kink on my leg. Highly recommend their services. You will not regret it. read more

Amaya Natural Therapeutics - Waiting patiently for my 85 minute cupping session - Massage Therapy Near Me - Durango, Colorado

I visit Amaya every time I'm in Durango-I've had different massage therapists each time, and each one was amazing in her own way.

I don't really want to tell you about this place, as I like to keep secrets, but I also want them to stay in business. Some friends showed me this place on a Sunday afternoon. And, man oh man, what a treat! So for $14, you get to soak in an outdoor hot tub, and there is a dry sauna room and a cold dipping tub. If you forgot your bathing costume, no worries, they have some on hand for you. There is also hot tea and plenty of water on hand so you do not get dehydrated. Showers on hand, so rinse before you get in tub and after. I hear the massages are nice here, but I have yet to try it out. This is now my favorite place in Durango, well next to Father's Daughter Pizza (I am a New Yorker, I am loyal to my pizza) and Sweaty Buddha (I am a hot yoga addict, so nothing is gonna top that). The place looks tiny, but once you get into the hot tub, all your troubles melt away. Then once you have had enough of the hot tub, spend some time in the dry sauna and do some double pigeon poses, while sweating out all your toxins. Then go dip in the cold tub. Now, repeat for the next 2 hours. The little things in life like stretching make every bit of life bearable. I love love this place. You betcha I'm gonna be here after long hikes but also in the winter when it is bone chillin' cold. Oh, I can't wait to warm up my muscles and get a nice stretch in. Meow. You should def check it out if you're in the area... read more

My massage was great (Barbara was amazing), but overall my experience was not. I was booked for cupping with a therapist who doesn't provide that service, so that was disappointing. The cold tub wasn't very cold, and the hot tub wasn't very hot. Furthermore, they need to have more strict rules with people getting in the tub fully dressed (shoes included). That experience shortened my soak drastically as it was very awkward and the man who entered the tub fully dressed made me very uncomfortable. read more

Our bodies work hard for us everyday. Make it a priority to give our bodies some love back. @amayanaturaltherapeutics is a Durango gem. I always leave there feeling refreshed, recharged and relaxed. You can't go wrong with any of the massage therapists (gabby and wendolynne are two of my absolute favorites and add a cool spiritual element to their work). After you get to soak in these amazing Japanese style soaking tubs, hit the dry sauna and dry off/read in their beautiful garden. This place has nothing but good vibes and is owned by two very caring wonderful people who are also massage therapist and active in the community (Don and Tricia). If you live in the Durango area, check em out! read more

See all

I absolutely loved this place. I was fortunate to get an appointment on short notice. I arrived early and had a soak in the hot tub, sat in the sauna, followed by a wonderful massage by Daniel. I wish there were more places like this. I enjoyed the hot tub and the massage immensely. It was exactly what I needed. Next time I'm in Durango I will definitely be back! read more

Enjoyed 85 minute hot stone massage recently. Later had the best night of sleep in quite some time. I highly recommend this business.

What a great find. I had a great experience, I Would totally recommend this place. The hot tub was a great start to an excellent message. The staff was great and the atmosphere was calming and super relaxed. I'm Looking forward to working this into my routine for R&R read more

Tricia's Biofield Tuning sessions are gentle yet powerful. She helped me learn how to move through difficult energy by toning. I always feel lighter after a session and have vivid dreams the following night. This is a new way to work with physical and emotional obstacles. read more

What an experience! Wow I cannot believe something so simple can be so affective / so relaxing . Thumbs up

I have been a member here for a year and love this place. Excellent, professional massage therapists and friendly staff plus a wonderful outdoor soaking pool. Anytime there has been a slight admin or billing issue (nothing major, these things happen) the management take immediate proactive steps to correct it. I feel so valued here as a member and will keep coming back. A classy operation. read more

We've been twice and received great service each time. The people are friendly and the hot tub is always inviting. We will be back again!

Contacted this business for service and never received a response. The least you could do for a potential customer is reply to an email.

During my month visit to Durango, I went to Amaya for a soak and a massage. My massage was given by Del Greer and she was incredible. She listened to my needs, intuited some of my unknown sore areas based on me working a desk job, and incorporated some movement of my body into the experience that was so relaxing. This spot is truly a gem. Next time I'm in Durango, I'll make an another appointment for a massage with Del. read more

The staff was super nice. Loved to be able to soak hot/cold tub and sauna. After my message the credit card machine was down and had to walk down the street to the ATM. Was a bummer but things happen. Message was average and didn't work on the area I circled but was happy they fit me in last minute. Great location. read more

Staff was very nice and very professional! They try their harder at to tend to the needs of the customers and that's what matters.

Amaya is an amazing healing sanctuary in lovely downtown Durango. It has truly authentic and organic feel, the staff and vibe make you feel relaxed and at ease the moment you walk in and the massage is incredible, the therapists really listen to your needs and work with you to make sure you get a massage that's very tailor to you needs. Love that soaking in the tubs and using the Sauna comes with the massage it really is the cherry on top of a fantastic experience. read more

Amelia is an incredible therapist. I had a 60 minute prenatal with her and I am going to continue working with her! Highly recommend!!

Yes, Yes, omg Yes. I love Amaya! I was given a gift certificate from my boss and have been there three times since. Ive had two massages and both have been fantastic, such a relaxing experience with the hot tub and sauna. Prices and pretty par for the course and well worth it for what you get! As far as spas go I think I found my spot! read more

I had an amazing massage. I was very stressed and hadn't had a massage in months. Don't let the decor fool you. This may not be a fancy spa, but the massage therapists are exceptional. Christy was very knowledgable. I walked out a newly refreshed person. read more

After a few days of snowboarding (in this case, iceboarding) my neck and shoulders really hurt. A trip to Amaya was just the answer. My hotel didn't have massage and Amaya got me in on relatively short notice. If you arrive early you can soak in their hot tub, which is al fresco. There is a cold plunge adjacent so if you're so inclined, you can do hot/cold cycles to really get your blood pumping. The facility is kind of funky--in an old house with lots of little rooms for men's/women's changing, massage, etc. My masseuse (Michelle I think?) was great. She had an excellent knack for moving my hands and arms so that she could access different muscles in my shoulders and forearms. Before my next trip I'll make a reservation in advance! read more

Jennifer is the best. She's very knowledgeable and listens to your needs. I have suffered from back pain for about 3 years. The pain was getting worst to the point where it was shooting down to my toes. I could barely finish a workout and was in need of medication almost daily. After 2 sessions of massaging and cupping, my pain decreased. I was able to squat down and carry a bucket full of dirt (40lbs) in a Spartan race without any pain. I have completed a total of 5 sessions with her so far, and I can say I have never felt this good-nerve pain to the toes is dissolved. Thanks to her, I am no longer taking pain medication. read more

Always good service and comfortable atmosphere. My first choice when in Durango. Friendly staff and always a good massage.

Amazing. That word came out of my mouth while being massaged. Kristara has healing energy. She was intuitive to the ailments in my body. I would recommend her to anyone going to enjoy Amaya.. read more

One of the only massage places open on Sundays. Nice hot tub to soak in before or after the massage. Definitely not a "fancy"-type of spa, but just a nice little spot to chill. Looks popular with the locals. read more

I am so grateful I found this place! I needed a therapeutic massage. My body was aching from over exercising and I didn't need just a soft easy massage. I needed help! Kim was amazing. She found just the right level of pressure and I left feeling such relief. The atmosphere there is also welcoming. I arrived early, to enjoy the sauna, the hot tub and the cooling bath. I recommend you enjoy all the facility has to offer. Great massage and tremendous relief. read more

Best. Place. Ever. I could live here. I soak here all the time & love it. Great tea & massages as well. There is a small garden area to relax in surrounded with a tall privacy fence. Wonderful oasis to soak, steam, etc. A must in Durango. read more
