Absolute college student staple VERY YUMMY and if they're slow it's because they're busy as hell

We called our order in for breakfast. We asked for a breakfast burrito to be smothered, and the employee over the phone starts ranting and raving about how we are trying to order a steak deluxe burrito when clearly we arent. As we tell the employee we are trying to tell him we are trying to tell him what we want. He says he is just trying to tell us how it is. He then proceeded to hand the phone to someone else as if he is clearly annoyed with having to do his job. The next employee wasn't easy to work with either... Like what is it with horrible customer service? Just remember that the customers make the business, and without customers you will not have a business. I will also be double checking the food at the counter. They like to change for extra, but not provide the extra. 1* customer service here folks! read more

Ill start by saying that I love Santiagos in Loveland and Johnstown. This Greeley location is trash. The lady who took my order was rude. Didn't give me a receipt and was yelling my number. Expecting me to guess my number. I went to and asked if my order was almost done and she said it had been sitting there. She said We'll I called your number. I told her I never received a number. Asked for salt and she said it was in with the silverware. Asked for more than one little package and she proceeded to tell me they didnt have any and one silverware per customer. Then started laughing and mocking me to the other employees. Saying sorry ut we don't have salt in spanish, as if I didnt understand spanish. Throwing her hands in the air. Then they wouldn't give me a better knife and fork to eat my steak with. Expect you to cut a steak with a cheap plastic knife. That place is garbage. I ordered a burrito; paid in cash; the cashier short changed me 0.02 cents; I brought it to her attention and she said to the customer "is that a big deal"? I know it is 0.02 cents but she thinks it is ok to short change the customer since they are short on change; terrible customer service and what an attitude on the cashier. read more

I would prefer to give 0 stars.... I came in on a Wednesday morning looking forward to getting 2 bacon breakfast burritos and that's the only day of the week that they offer bacon and they conveniently did not have bacon but only ham. I still ordered 2 hot with extra cheese and onions with plenty of chili, and did not get the extra cheese and onions that I asked for. The person on the line apparently does not read the order and makes them plain regular or doesn't read the ticket cause she doesn't speak English, and this is not the first time I have came that she didn't read the ticket that I ordered for something completely different. Which is irritating cause I paid extra and did not receive what I ordered and the eggs are overcooked as well as the pattatoes. I will reconsider coming here next time and take my business elsewhere. read more

This is no lettuce. They make you sit in the drive-thru forever regardless of what you order and regardless of whether or not they have other customers. This is literally the worst Santiago's in Colorado. And leaving reviews doesn't matter because the owners really don't give a damn. read more

You get to eat off paper plates, yay! Also if you buy a regular small soda they charge you .37 to refill it and then they say they don't charge if you buy a large, that would be nice to know when I am ordering. It will be nice when this place gets back to dining inside. The food at Santiago's - in almost every store - is always good, the staff is usually friendly, and I always appreciate the philanthropy the owners engage in. My go-to is always the smothered beef and bean sopapilla, with half-and-half green chile. The half-and-half seems to be a bit of guesswork as there are times it's piping hot and other times it seems mild, so be prepared for a surprise. On the flip side of that, the hot will always be very spicy and the mild will always be mild, so order to suit your tastebuds. As it is only takeout right now, the food will not be as good as dining in. You carry it out and by the time you get to it, it's been sitting in a carton for a bit of time. That detracts from the freshness a bit. Some day soon, maybe you can eat it at the table, fresh from the kitchen. You should also know that this store gets pretty busy around lunchtime and with no seating, there's people standing around waiting for their orders - plus the drive-thru crowd. I had dinner at this place back in November 2021, and it was bad. I ordered the green chili plate here, and I did not enjoy it. It was no flavor to it, except for the obnoxious spiciness in its peppery taste. This was the worst Mexican restaurant in Greeley that I have dined at. Really, it's sad that Greeley doesn't have such good Mexican restaurants even with its large Hispanic population. read more

We went here for the first time tonight. There was some confusion with how the ordering process works because we were inexperienced and the cashier was being trained but it worked out in the end. I got a stuffed sophapilla and my spouse got an Indian taco. Their green chile is A+, super delicious, and the portions are huge and everything is very affordable. 3 stars for value. I had a bean and cheese deluxe burrito. Ordered there and ate there, so it was fresh and hot. It was tasty. But the value for the price ($7.17) was poor. It was a tiny and very skinny burrito. I've seen bigger pencils. $5.50 would be a more reasonable price. I'm sure there are some Santiago's fans out there, but not me for that price. But this was a rare restaurant where the Pepsi actually had fantastic carbonation and was delicious. read more

It was noisy when my friend and I arrived (kitchen), young man (boy?) was not helpful at all. Our order was sitting on the counter, didn't hear our number called. Food was cold, cheese not melted in relleno or enchilada. I was going to ask if they would reheat in microwave, but it's known that if one complains your food will have bodily fluid added. Altogether a very unpleasant experience; loud, poor service at counter, cold food, table was sticky, very perfunctory. Please hire people who have pride in their work. Disgusted. Not a fan of cold food or careless staff. I hope you go under. I'm telling everyone to stay away from Greeley location. Johnstown is superior in every way. So disappointed. read more

Ordered 9nline and picked up. Got it home and the food was old and rotten looking! Manager actually claimed that because we picked up 5 minutes later than it was ready, it had turned brown in the warmer! Really? Did the warmer also make it smell like garbage??? Absolutely disgusting.. read more

The food was ok, so 3 stars. But i had to wait like 25 minutes for 6 tacos because they lost my order. After 10 min i checked cuz i only got tacos. I watched them wait almost 8 min from that point to even Start my order, despite having my receipt which they took and didnt give back. Its a 1st and last for me.. Went here to grab a burrito before an appt I had downtown and also wanted to compare this place to the one down in Westminster. Their burritos is just as good, but they do take a while similar to the Westminster in getting your food than normal time. Aside from that, that everything taste just as good and it's a sit in place at least. If and when I have time I like to sit in, but mostly get burritos on the go. read more

My burrito was the size of a hotdog, it had very little filling and was mostly a rolled up tortilla. I also usually like their salsa, but today and was bland with no heat. Probably won't be back since there are other options in Greeley who seem to be more consistent. read more

Ordered breakfast through DoorDash. After the driver showed up the restaurant said they do not take breakfast orders. Spoke with DoorDash and they confirmed that Santiago's has not kept up their menu to reflect what they will actually prepare. Santiago's off of my list for restaurants to do business with in Greeley. Taking my time - the drivers livelihood - and not being able to provide a meal an hour abs a half later is extremely poor customer service. There's great Mexican food in this town. You gave choices. This place is the cheapest place in town. NO, I don't mean they are inexpensive, I mean they are cheap with their servings! I've gave reviews where they spread the guacamole butter thin on the guacamole tostadas but today I really found how CHEAP this place really is! They don't do refils on small drinks. What a joke! Don't waste your money. I used to live in Lakewood and Santiago's was my favorite! This location is horrific. The quality is not the same, the Indian taco is just wrong & soggy, I asked for onions on my gelatinous flavorless cheese enchiladas & didn't get them. The carnitas were tasty, but I had to pick them out of my enchilada to taste them. I won't be returning. Did an online order, and it said I'd would be ready at 7:13 but it was ready until 7:30. Had all the items but didn't check ingredients. I ordered a carnitas and chicken Indian taco, but they gave me carnitas and refried beans instead. I absolutely hate refried beans...ended uo making Mac n Cheese instead. read more

This is one of the best food values near my work. I love the stuffed sopapilla with bean and chicharrone -- for $6 I don't need to eat anything else all day, and the hot green chili is great. Some dishes like the sopapillas take a while to prepare, so I like to call ahead for takeout, then they finish it up quickly when I get there -- always hot and fresh. If I just order a simple thing like a burrito or taco, it's done quickly whether or not I call ahead. It's not really a place that's designed for eating in, but it's my current favorite for takeout. Speaking to some of the other reviews, this is a rather new restaurant and I think that they're still figuring things out. It seems better organized every time I go in and the food is always good, so relax and give them a chance. :-) (Also, egg yolks can turn greenish from being overheated -- not necessarily a great thing, but not necessarily rotten.) read more

I heard the breakfast burritos were bomb and inexpensive. One of those two rumors is true. They are inexpensive: $2.25 is a screamin deal! I would not, however, call them bomb. First lets talk about how everyday they offer one meat. You have no choice in the matter. So Tuesday was German Sausage day. I don't even know what that is so I opted out of meat entirely. My boyfriend said it was salty but I didn't actually try it myself. Now I must address the eggs-- the eggs have a slightly gray hue. I thought maybe it was just mine so I checked everyone else's burritos and they all had gray eggs too. I asked the friend that told me to try it about the gray tone of the egg and she said she thought it was from the green salsa, except I didn't get salsa in mine.... 9:00 am. Dropped in for breakfast burritos this week and was pretty ticked off with the results. 2 hot, no cheese. I think they put green chili in it because there was a little zing to it. But, there wasn't any sign of chili. No jalapeños, no green chilis - nottadangting mon. It was a sausage day - I assume it's supposed to be Pork sausage, but the stuff that was in it looked and tasted like some kind of healthy Turkey smenge. There was a grape sized ball of it, so I figured SCORE... Nope, I would have had more flavor if it was a grape. Lastly, there is usually some egg in there, mine was playing Bigfoot. It was being a hide and seek world champion. So, there ya go. No freaking way I'll ever stop in there again. read more

They are very inconsistent, hot is not hot at all, half and half is all over the place, and they use way to much salt.
