Would not recommend. I purchased a starter and had this company come out to replace. They claim…read morethat they recommended at my appointment a diagnostic to my partner which was not true. They only offered a diagnostic after they replaced the starter and stated it was the battery. When they finished the replacement they told us to replace the battery, which we did, but the car continued to not turn over after multiple attempts. My partner took the car to another mechanic in town to see what else could be wrong. Mechanic in town stated that whoever put the starter in put it in incorrectly, they cross threaded the starter, and now the part is no longer useful. When I reached out to the company for a refund regarding the service they kept stating they offered a diagnostic, which again was not true, and they blamed the part and not the individual preforming the service. They basically only offered to charge me more for coming out again to check their own work, only offering to waive appointment fee. Again I would not recommend this company

As a mobile mechanic, we come to the vehicle so you can skip out on paying tow truck rates. Not to mention, we bill $50 hourly compared to a shop ($120+), so you can rest assured you’re getting a good deal for great service. We can do just about anything and work on majority of vehicles, motorcycles, along with machines such as ATV's, lawn equipment, etc. If it has an engine we can definitely take a look at it to see if we can figure out what's needed.

On my way back to Jacksonville, FL I broke down in Summerton due to some negligence of my recent oil change experience. I was STRANDED at the Loves truck stop just off the exit. The next morning I had my car towed to Summerton Auto as it was the closest mechanic & had some good reviews. When I called there early morning, Ann was so understanding & empathetic to my circumstance, already offering me information about where I might get safely check in to get some sleep & a shower before even physically receiving my car or any insight to my situation! I rode to the shop with the tow driver. I spent a couple of hours with Ann & Ray (the SUPER hubby/wife owners) and their friend Gino, while they searched tirelessly for the right parts for a quick repair. I was exhausted so I checked into a hotel back at the exit that Ann recommended. They called me more than once to communicate the recommendation and the plan(s). When the appropriate part couldnt be quickly delivered, Ray fixed my car so that I could at least get back to Jacksonville later that day to work! SOOOO Kind, honest, competent and safe! I owe a HUGE thank you to them for caring for me so well! I highly recommend Summerton Auto for any of your planned (or emergent) auto servicing needs! Thanks you guys~ you are awesome and Ill plan to stop back by the new shop for a "hello" when I am traveling through the area again!Natalie#gypsynurse

I needed…read moreto get my transmission fluid and filter replaced for my warranty, it was a mistake on my part I did not catch the due mileage in time and went over a bit. I do get my oil changed every 3000 miles when warranty requires 5000 because I do take care of my truck, too expensive not too. Well they said they would "misread" my mileage so it would keep my warranty valid. I dropped by on Monday to make sure my truck would be services on Friday as it was when they could schedule me in, they did not tell me they would accommodate my request then or at our first conversation either. Picked it up on Friday and the counter guy said he could not change the milage because it was wrong to do so. But lying to me that he would is quite acceptable in his mind apparently. The owner came over and started telling me about its a battle repeatedly until I told him we are not in a battle we have a disagreement that's all. He raised his voice and kept telling in about its a battle in business and I don't understand and kept ranting on and on. I told him it was ultimately my fault because I missed the milage but I would have gone somewhere else that would done my request. If I wasn't able to find another company I would have just done it myself because it would be out of warranty anyway and save myself $660 which was my bill, pretty excessive actually.

They just said it was getting older and just makes noise. Newman's figured out what the noise was and fixed it. We also had them put on new Shocks, Struts and new headlight assemblies. When you've traveled in the military, it's hard to find a trustworthy local mechanic...problem solved. I will definitely be back!

We took our vehicle to this shop because our usual mechanic doesn't handle hybrid-related work, and…read moreunfortunately, this turned into a frustrating experience. After testing and finding the parts the estimate became much larger, but it had to be fixed. After getting the vehicle back we had issues again and took it back because it was under warranty. They initially replaced a cooling system hose, but we later found out that the brand new hose they installed had a pinhole leak. That alone raises concerns about the quality of parts they're using and their inspection process before returning a vehicle. Well, this of course was not covered. When we picked the car up...the 2nd time, the check engine light was on -- which it absolutely was NOT when we dropped it off. They told us the issue was an intermittent misfire and suggested additional diagnostic testing for over $400, followed by more charges for fuel injection cleaning and possibly even deeper engine work. It felt like they were stacking on expensive "next steps" without a clear diagnosis. Something didn't sit right, so we brought the car to our regular shop since this was no longer a "hybrid" issue. Within a short time, they found the real issue: a smashed spark plug -- and not even the same brand as the others that had all been replaced by me personally just six months ago. That's extremely concerning and points to careless or sloppy workmanship or sadly sabotage. Between installing a faulty hose, returning my car with a new warning light, and missing (or possibly causing) a very obvious issue, I've completely lost confidence in this shop. Familiarize yourself with your vehicle and exercise caution. Sadly, many are out to profit, even at your expense.
