My two friends treated me to some birthday tapas at this wee French restaurant. It was a pretty busy Sunday night, so it took us a little while to be seated, but we were perfectly happy to sit at the bar and enjoyed some of their delicious (and quite reasonably priced) cocktails and complimentary olives.
We each ordered three tapas dishes each and decided to do as the Spanish do and all tucked in. There is a pretty extensive range of dishes to chose from, including pear and black pudding croquettes, chickpea and spinach stew, humous and tapenade, patatas bravas and much more. There's a lot on this menu you wouldn't see on a traditional tapas menu which I thought was great - a lot of dishes with a French twist!
Service was a little slow, and we did end up waiting a while for our cocktails. But, to be fair to the staff it was an unusually busy Sunday night and they were extremely apologetic, friendly and jovial with us - which always makes up for having to wait a little longer. Our server had a good knowledge of the menu and was able to make us good recommendations, which is always great if you're new to tapas or French food.
Overall, I found the pricing quite reasonable. It may be a little on the expensive side but the food is truly delicious and of an extremely high quality. I'll certainly be coming back here for some more eats and a few glasses of wine! read more
