I have my current account with Lloyds and although there is often a queue, you are seen to very quickly. Sometimes you are approached by sales assistants from all angles, or are cross-sold products, but I guess this is part of their target-meeting strategies so you cannot really blame them for trying. This particular branch is in a nice old building, it is always very clean with little side rooms if you need to talk about private banking matters. The assistants are always very friendly and helpful and not overly pushy like in some banks. Unlike some banks who seem most interested in putting charges on your account (!) I have found them to be more customer-focused, definitely not unreasonable and easy to talk to. Overall I have only ever had a good experience with Lloyds TSB and would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a gimmick free service.
