I work for a Bank, trying to wire our clients large payment to this bank and was told that they would not give any account information out. Asked to speak with a branch manager and was told very rudely that she had just spoken to her branch manager. So, you want our bank to wire a considerable amount of money for a payment and won't verify the wire instructions. With all the wire frauds and fraud out in this world, your bank should not allow wires if you don't even have a wire room you can send us to, to verify emailed instructions. If you need to send funds, I wouldn't do it to or from this bank! I would not recommend as they are not willing to verify wire instructions that you received by email; you would think that you would want to protect our mutual clients' funds with all the fraud in this world. I needed to verify that the emailed instructions we received are valid.

And she's the manager?? In the end we didn't use the line of credit then had a long struggle to get the lien removed from our own home's title! After SIX weeks of being put off, I went to the bank in person where a wonderful, knowledgeable person Cindy Rex issued a formal letter saying the lien was removed from our home. Strong advice, here: look at other BB&T reviews and you'll see my experience isn't unique. Avoid BB&T at all costs - this is your credit score and who knows what else that is at risk. Stay away.
