Located in an old village just north-west of Barcelona, and one of the stops on the Blue bus tour, the Sarria stop. Santamasa is one of two sidewalk restaurants in an adorable open court, stone walkways, and tiny one lane streets. The setting is right out of a movie. Down the street, you'll stumble along beautiful and upscale bakeries, eateries, and food "to go" delis. Come here for a coffee, but not the food.
The menu has a mix of foods, which is nice to find. Spanish foods (why, of course), Italian, Pizzas, Burgers, and a couple of Mexican dishes: quesadilla, and chips with quac.
I ordered the GIGANTE Cannelloni (€8.95, $9.37). On the English menu, they had it listed to contain "roasted meat". This must mean canned meat, which meant delicious crema atop of one large and thin (not Giant) cannelloni filled with the "meat". Not good at all. [2.0 stars]

Sarrià-Sant Gervasi is one of the biggest districts of Barcelona, situated on the north-west of the city, surrounded by districts of Les Corts, Gràcia, Eixample i Horta-Guinardo, and by the villages of Sant Just, Sant Feliu, Molins de Rei and Sant Cugat. It is formed by the old villages of Sarrià (added to Barcelona in 1927), Vallvidrera (added to Sarrià in 1890), Santa Creu d'Olorda (added to Sarrià in 1916) and Sant Gervasi ("Saint Gervasius") de Cassoles (added to Barcelona in 1897). The first written document found about Sarrià dates from the year 987, and the origins of the village are a Roman colony. read more
