Santacos food truck was at the Rocklin Community Festival Mother's Day weekend in 2026. I've been craving the grilled carne asada from La Taqueria in San Francisco for years now, but I am just too lazy to deal with the parking and lines there. I have been hoping to find an easier-to-access carne asada in the Sacramento area. While not the steak slices I have seen at La Taqueria, Santacos grilled carne asada is very tasty. I ordered the Bowl with Carne Asada. It comes with Spanish rice, whole beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, guacamole, and sour cream. Generous portion. I'd say meat fills about 1/2 the bowl! Yummy dinner. Service was kind, helpful, and courteous. Because I asked questions about the carne asada preparation and cut of meat, she offered me a sample. It was near the end of festival day and the last day of the festival. Carne asada was tender and juicy. I look forward to trying the tacos, quesabirria, and quesadilla. Santacos food truck! The carne asada tacos are freakin delicious. Beyond five stars. What the heck did they put in the meat?!! It was so darn flavorful. Mmm. I am still thinking about them tacos. Also their housemade salsa verde and salsa rojo were amaze balls as well. They know their flavors. Mmm. I ordered the two taco plate that came with beans and rice. The tacos were a street taco size and packed with meat. The beans were perfectly cooked pinto beans. The Spanish rice was fluffy and soft. Yummers for both side dishes. My other taco protein was carnitas. It was good but I am still thinking about the carne asada. The carnitas was topped was with a fresh pineapple slice. Nice. However, the carnitas was oily, not complaining because fat is ~flavor. Just that it could have been drained more, so my tortilla would not have fallen apart sooner than it did which was after a couple of bites. Rest assured, none went to waste. The cashier was fabulous. She even handled some intense customers with ease and grace to de-escalate and calm the hangry folks. Pricing is comparable to other food trucks. It ain't cheap tho but what is anymore. read more

My first time trying Santacos was this weekend at the honey festival in woodland. I ordered the Asada Burrito. It was so delicious and a very big burrito. It had rice, whole beans (thoroughly cooked), cheese, asada and cilantro (I asked for no onions). It paired so well with the hot sauce they offer and was one of the best burritos I've had in a while. A tasty food truck, but Yelp prevented me from checking in for location, but were are amazing ! We had steak and pork street tacos. First the fresh made corn tortillas were the best we have ever had. The tacos were loaded with meat, whole pinto beans onion, cilantro, and a guac drizzle. They also came with some sliced grilled onions and fresh made hot sauce. These tacos were great! I found this taco truck at my neighborhood trunk or treat event and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I ordered a taco macho - al pastor. It was about $7.95, which initially felt a little steep however there's plenty of meat and it's hearty! I loved that it has the Anaheim pepper and the pastor comes with pineapple pieces. We went to Moksa for a beer and to our delight Santacos truck was there! We asked the lady setting up what her favorite thing on the menus was and she recommended the fish and the shrimp, so that's what we got! My husband got one fish and one shrimp taco with beans and rice and I got the shrimp quesadilla. Both were so delicious! The quesadilla was stuffed full of shrimp that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Thank you thank you to the wonderful employee who recommended that! Caught Santacos food truck at dinner time on Greenback near San Juan 12-20-2022. Same parking lot as Ross, kohl's, Burlington coat, del Taco, Sport clips, pizza guys. They scored my business after the local Taco Bell lost my business due to lobby being closed. The service was kind and wonderful. Food ready in under 10 minutes. They invited me to wait in my car and they deliver it. The packaged it fantastically, too. You can pay cash or with a card. Their menu was short, simple and easy to read, i.e. just a few basic meats, no cabeza, lengua, tripe, etc. And about 12 food items. They had the basic taqueria taco but they add beans. I had volcanes (carne asada) and shrimp taco. Shrimp Taco (3 jumbo fried shrimp) was good, lots of flavor with the sauce. Didn't care for shrimp being fried. The volcanes was spectacular. Loved the tostada top and the contents. Fully recommend volcanes. I've seen their truck somewhere before, maybe same spot. Sounds silly but I didn't understand what the name was and even though I could tell it had something to do with tacos, I just wasn't curious enough until necessity dictated my decisions. We were lucky to have the Santacos truck at our local elementary school's book fair. We had never seen the truck before and looked at the menu board. The volcanes caught our interest. Since we never tried the Outlaw Cuisine truck either, we decided to buy one item from each truck. The volcanes was super good! The tortilla was perfectly fried and chicken was spiced deliciously. Definitely some great Mexican comfort food. My son ordered a chicken burrito and he loved it. The side of chips was a great choice--they tasted very fresh. Santacos catered my sons graduation party. Everyone raved about the food. They made tortillas onsite and they were amazing. Seems like tacos are popular for the grad parties but all my guests said it was the best and many requested their business cards. They showed up an hour and a half early set up and worked so hard in the 100+ degree heat in our back yard with no complaints. 100% recommendation. The fish taco was by far our favorite, but everything was delightful and fresh! They took our order and said they would deliver it to our car! I can't review the food, because I waited in line for 45 minutes and when I finally got up to order, they told me they were out of cheese. I was planning on ordering quesadillas for my kids. They told the people in front of me, that they were out of chips too. They need to put a sign on the menu, stating they sre out of items, so people dont waste time in line. This was at a Halloween festival and the only reason I waited 45 minutes to order, was because the 3 other for truck choices, weren't stuff my kids would like. Needless to say I was extremely mad and disappointed. What a complete waste of time. And I should add there were only about 12 people in line, in front of me.
