Rick's challenge was to help us navigate the purchase of a new home with an acceptable in-law suite, synchronize the sale of 2 condos while avoiding uncomfortable cohabitation and help minimize relocation costs as best as possible. He hit the ball out of the park! Rick was extremely responsive and patient as he worked with my husband, mother-in-law and I during the home shopping phase. We spent hours searching through property listings and toured over a dozen homes. Rick was prompt and punctual with each scheduling, often same day. Fantasy turned into reality real fast when we lost a house that was pulled off the market. Rick's response was clear... the market moves fast, this home wasn't for us, we had more properties to visit and everyone had to be ready with our next opportunity. When we found a home that satisfied our unique situation, Rick's first big challenge was to convince the Seller to agree to a Hubbard Clause. This was not an easy feat in a hot housing market where the owner was eager to sell. But Rick got us under contract and quickly refocused on selling our two condos. Everybody thinks their homes are worth more than they are, but Rick helped us keep our expectations reasonable. By pricing our condos accurately and fairly, he ensured we received immediate interest and positioned us for quick sales. Some realtors put this phase on cruise control, but Santa Realty was far more involved and responsive. And Rick illustrated just how much he protects his clients once by escalating disciplinary action against a competing agent that showed our property without our consent or knowledge. Santa Realty does things the correct, honest and safe way and ensures others do the same. At the end of the day, Rick helped us buy our new home by aggressively marketing and selling our two condos in record time. He is honest, knowledgeable, fun, understanding and extremely thorough. His communication and responsiveness is second to none. And Rick's extensive knowledge of the area was invaluable in helping us with the search and purchase process. "Thank you" doesn't seem adequate enough to express our gratitude and appreciation for being our realtor, advocate, therapist and sounding board through this home buying and selling process. He was incredibly generous with his time; nights and weekends, even communicating while on vacation! We're so thankful to have had him as our realtor and now friend. Thank you! Rick from Santa Realty was absolutely amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, hardworking, and dependable. His friendly nature and great sense of humor made Rick a pleasure to work with. His no-nonsense attitude and honest, straight-up approach were exactly what my fiancé and I were looking for in a realtor. Additionally, Rick possessed years of experience and a wealth of knowledge about all things real estate, which was especially helpful to us (being first-time home buyers who were new to the procedure). We immediately trusted his advice and opinions as he seamlessly guided us through the entire process of buying our first home. Rick was extremely patient, supported our decisions, and attended to our needs without question or judgement. I couldn't believe how smoothly each step of buying our house went as a result of his expertise and work ethic. Rick also provided us with a variety of great resources, from a lender, to an inspector, to various contractors. He was 100% dedicated to helping us find exactly what we were looking for within our budget, and never rushed or pressured us. Once we decided to put in an offer, Rick had our backs 100%: he fought to ensure that we paid a fair price, received services and credits he felt were rightfully necessary, and prevented us from being taken advantage of. If we ever buy or sell a home in the future, we will without a doubt use Santa Realty in order to work with Rick again. I can't imagine a better experience for buying our first home! read more

Rick is my hero. I had a beautiful home to sell, that in the past, no one had been able to sell. It needed work. The last person to list it showed it about 3 times and made no further efforts. By coincidence I met Rick and asked him to take a look at it. He was so positive, energetic and honest with me about my house. He had a different strategy...and a wealth of knowledge. Rick had my house sold in about a month...for close to the asking price. It was very painful for me to sell my family home of 55 years, but he had the greatest empathy and got me through it. He also found the home I am presently living in. It's perfect for me. Rick went above and beyond my expectations and guided me every step of the way. He sent his son and his friend to help me pack when I at my most desperate...Rick took things to the dump for me (never charging me)...and set up all the appointments for repairs at my new house...to name just a few. All he did for me far outweighed what he made in commission. I could write a novel about what an incredible person Rick is. He renewed my faith in mankind. He is a very positive person, with amazing energy, and a vast knowledge base about so many things. Most importantly he is a man of honesty and great integrity. Rick absolutely has got your back 100%. He is a person you can trust. read more

I found Santa Realty by searching for the listing agent of a house that recently sold in my mother's neighborhood. From the beginning, I knew I'd made the right call. Rick took time out of his family vacation to speak to me as I had recently lost my mother and needed to sell her home, the home my brother, sister and I grew up in. To complicate matters, I live out of state. Rick's understanding of the changing market and his ability to sort through more than 20 offers to identify the best opportunities made this difficult process so much easier. Not only was everything handled professionally and efficiently, Rick showed so much compassion and care every step of the way. The day before the closing, Rick offered to walk through the property while on FaceTime with me so I could say goodbye to my childhood home, even walking through the wooded area behind the home where we played as children. It was more than a kind gesture, it was an act of love. I will cherish that memory forever. Clearly, Rick and his team have a passion for this work, for helping families find the home of their dreams and helping others let go of the homes of our childhoods. I highly recommend Rick Santasiere and the whole team at Santa Realty. We are forever grateful. Cathy Farrell Peters Cleveland, Ohio read more

It's tough to put such a meaningful and positive experience into words and have them mean the same as how it all felt. I am TRULY grateful to have had the pleasure of working with Rick. He made the entire home buying process incredibly smooth and enjoyable for my family and I. Rick made us feel like family from day one, and those aren't just words I really mean that. It was honestly bitter sweet to have closed on our new home in what felt like record time, cause that meant the end of our working relationship. He is absolutely the type of guy you feel like you've known forever, even if it has only been a few short weeks. But Rick wasn't just a nice guy, he is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of real-estate. There was a lot of unknowns going into this new adventure, but he guided us along the way and gave us confidence that we were in good hands. I learnt a lot from him, and not just in what I needed to do to buy our home but things to keep in mind as a new homeowner after the purchase. There was a lot that needed to be done within the process, but he made everything streamlined and easy to understand. If your looking for someone who is an expert in his field and will treat you like family don't think twice in choosing Rick at Santa Realty, you won't regret it! read more

My family and I have had a very unique and thorough experience with Rick & his team at Santa reality. Over the course of about 2 years- he was our selling agent, landlord, and then buying agent. Throughout each hat that he wore over the years- he was always kind, compassionate, understanding, and professional. For the sale of our home, he had it on the market and sold in record time. As our landlord, we lived comfortably knowing he would do whatever it took to make sure the roof over our heads was everything we needed. For the grand finale, he helped us purchase our dream home and close in less than 45 days with unbelievably low closing costs. He negotiated the deals that we didn't even know were possible to make sure our hard earned money was spent appropriately. Since then Rick has continued to be a friend in our community, and a listening ear as we consider purchasing again. When it comes down to it, you need a guy like Rick on your team. He will fight for you with your best interests as his #1 priority. I would highly recommend him to any, and everyone. Thank you Rick! read more

When my husband and I started our house search, we went to Zillow and requested a showing for a listing we were interested in seeing. The app matched us with Rick and we're so lucky it did. From the initial phone call until our final walkthrough, Rick was wonderful to work with. He was incredibly insightful, patient, helpful, and truly went above and beyond throughout the process. As first-time homebuyers in this crazy market, we felt a lot of pressure and Rick made it as stress-free as possible. He took the time to research listings we wanted to see, worked around our busy schedules to get us to see as many listings as possible, and even set us up with his wife (another agent!) to see another home when he wasn't available. Talk about service! Rick helped us navigate the process and negotiate smartly. With his help, we got our first offer accepted on our dream starter home. If you're looking to buy or sell in Connecticut or Massachusetts, you absolutely will not regret working with him. We know he'll be our guy whenever we're ready to buy or sell again in the future. read more

There are so many great things I can say about Rick of Santa Realty. From the moment I first contacted him, I felt comfortable and knew he was going to be my realtor. He started off asking about family, pets, career and everything in between. I have talked to other realtors who just went straight to business points and had no personality. It took a few months to find the "right" house and he helped every step of the way. I never felt like he was forcing me to choose a house I was not comfortable with. The stress of the current market was something I did not handle well and he made it possible to handle everything. There was an incident where I almost purchased a house and he read my body language, pulled me aside and assured me it is ok to walk away, and I did. I could not be happier with the service that Rick provides and glad he was a part of my house journey. I definitely will recommend Rick of Santa Realty to everyone I know and maybe for myself someday again in the future. Choose Rick of Santa Realty, you will not be disappointed!!! read more

Rick knows how to create a transaction where all parties walk away happy. He is smart, kind and he really listens - so he understands what you are looking to accomplish and the best way to get there. I had become discouraged and overwhelmed with the task of selling my house. I had seen some comments about Rick online and decided to give him a call. He picked up the phone, met me the same day and took the time to listen to my story. He spent time explaining his approach, his path to the real estate business and didn't try to "sell" me. He was with me every step of the way, always available to answer any question at any time. And he went above and beyond to help me move through the process -including rolling up his sleeves (literally) to help get things done. He gave great advice and was efficient, patient and honest with me. And always with a smile which was appreciated. I cannot imagine a better experience and I am so appreciative to Rick for his patience and kindness throughout this process. I could not be happier with the outcome. read more

Flat-out, this is one of the best experiences I have ever had with any service provider in any industry. As first-time home buyers, Rick guided us through every single step with the utmost detail, humor, and patience. From start to finish, Rick connected us with his wide network of trusted vendors and kept everyone on target at a speed we could not believe. If we texted him in the morning about a few properties we were interested in, he would have an itinerary to us within hours. I really think had we gone with anyone else, we would still be scratching our heads and unsure of what to do. Rick does it all and hand holds you through each milestone. Within a month of contacting him, we just closed on our dream home. This is amazing considering all of the hoops to jump through and how easily/quickly he navigated us through each phase. He is personable, knowledgeable and truly cares about finding you the right fit. There is really no one else you would want to be 'in the trenches' with. Customer for life. read more

As a second home shopper, Rosie and I was looking for a home to settle down for a long run. Rick crossed our path back in May and continue to working with him now as the property management with his company. Granby was my preferred destination which is closer to a workplace. We have found a house in Granby back in May and started to sell my first home in June. For some months, we were settling down as a rental property for the tenants and it was not a easy decision. However, we had trusted his complete process and his pride is granted! His superb dedication and very hardworking does pay off when we have found out that he bought our house in Granby with a new septic system replacement and re-arranging the well water position. Truthfully, thank you is not enough to express our passionately appreciation to go through all of this! We wish that we could give Rick as 100 stars! I am fortunate to call him a friend. We would very highly recommend him to anyone looking to sell/rent or purchase a home. read more

Rick has been a wonderful buyers agent for us, who is reliable and fair. We were looking for our first home, and Rick was always responsive to our questions, and helpful in looking for things in houses that new home buyers might miss. We asked a lot of him, and had him drive over an hour away to help us look for houses and he always made it easy for us to schedule showings, and was there for every step of the process. If you are a first time home buyer and aren't sure who to trust or work with, Rick is wonderful, and will help you find other trustworthy people to assure that you get the best deal, and are treated fairly. We will miss the home buying process because of the friendship Rick and his team have developed with us along the way, but feel that even though we have come to the end of our process, they will still be there if we need anything in the future. read more

My wife and I decided to buy a house under some of the most uncomfortable circumstances you could imagine. Pandemic house hunting was not on my list of "you've go to try this!". Rick made an exceptionally stressful process much easier to deal with. He is very friendly and personable, which immediately put us at ease. His experience in the business was immediately apparent. He was vocal about things he didn't like, and was great at explaining why certain things were concerning to him. He was clearly looking out for our best interest, and would not try to gloss over issues he saw in order to get a commission. I think the best thing I can say about working with him, was that I actually felt a tad disappointed that we would no longer be working with him after we purchased our home. I highly recommend Santa Realty to anyone looking to buy or sell. read more

Worked with Rick in the last year on the purchase of our home in Poet's Corner in Granby. I found him in a quick Google search as our previous agent was not working out. We feel super fortunate to have found him. Rick was respectful, not at all pushy, super responsive and had great input. The house we ended up buying was not even on our radar to due to faults of the MLS search engine. After getting to know us he made the recommendation that we look at our now current house and we LOVED it. Not only is the house great but we feel like we live in "Pleasantville" - the neighborhood is amazing. We still keep in touch with Rick a year later and he is now working with my in-laws to help them find a summer home in the area. Lastly, being the awesome guy that he is, he has let me borrow his utility trailer a couple times as well. Good group to work with. read more

What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about finding the best outcome for us--not just closing a deal. His honesty, professionalism, and dedication gave us complete confidence, and we always felt like we were in good hands. Rick came highly recommended, and now I truly understand why. He helped me sell my home and went above and beyond in ways I didn't expect. Even while he was across the country on vacation, he took the time to call repair professionals for me and explain the work that needed to be done when I couldn't articulate it myself. That level of dedication meant so much. During negotiations, I trusted Rick's expertise -- even when I felt hesitant -- and he guided me with confidence and honesty. He was right every step of the way.Beyond his professionalism, Rick is just a genuinely nice, likeable person. He cares deeply about his clients, works incredibly hard, and consistently goes the extra mile. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor who will truly have their back. read more

My husband and I were looking to move from Colorado to Connecticut, in addition to purchasing our first home- which made the selection of a realtor a crucial choice. We didn't have any friends or family in the area, so completely relied on reviews (like this one) as well as our gut feeling about realtors we considered. We are so thrilled we found Rick and Santa Realty to guide us through the largest purchase of our lives. Rick was highly knowledgeable regarding the CT market, always upfront and "to the point" regarding any questions we had as first time home buyers, while still letting us ultimately make the decision that was right for us. We love our new home, and Rick's guidance allowed us to purchase with confidence. We're so grateful to him and the Santa Reality team! read more
