I can't believe how wholesome, comforting, good-smelling and pleasant these soaps are. I was driving through NM on a trip like 6 years ago and stopped here on a whim and bought some of the honey oatmeal and pine tar soaps. Even though I haven't been back to NM since then, I order from here online and have it shipped every six months or so. I've tried lots of other artisanal or locally made soaps but none are as nice as these. They are gentler on your skin than commercial soaps, smell less synthetic than the stuff you find at a B&BW or Lush, and the prices are similar anyway. Anyway, the honey oatmeal soap is really heavenly. I love all the citrus scents. Pine tar is very good on my eczematic skin. And the salsa soaps they have periodically are nostalgic. read more

After having come out of an obvious tourist trap, I was not excited to do any more browsing and what's more I was not interested in anything soap related. I'm not that drawn by smells nor am I super interested in foofoo soaps and stuff. After walking in though the gentleman that was working there struck up a conversation and after conversing with him he at once understood what I meant, but pointed me towards some items that might interest me. I was looking at beard oil-something I would never need but saw that they had a bourbon-vanilla scent which definitely interested me. He pointed me towards the body lotions. Like I said, I don't buy into scents that much but the bourbon-vanilla smelled very much like something else I would wear. He walked me through a bunch of different lotions. This was one of those places where I walked into completely set against not buying anything but ended up happily giving my money away for something I never expected to buy. I use it though, maybe the secret to getting into grooming stuff was just finding the right scent. read more

Went to see the miracle staircase in the Loretto Chapel & came across these incredible products right outside! They have a store in the building but it's still closed due to Covid-19 so they set up shop outside... The body lotions are the best I've ever used. There is soap and then there is Santa Fe Soap Ranch soap. If you enjoy your soaps, looking for quality, authentic ingredients and a treasure of fragrance you will absolutely not be disappointed with these soaps. I think the soap docks are well crafted. The soap loafs are a great value if you like a particular soap but it is really fun to order a mix of the soaps. The dog shampoo is a wonder too! Love these products. I recently ordered online and received my items even earlier than anticipated which happened to be my birthday as well. You will receive every item packed perfectly, no errors and a order receipt with a handwritten thank-you. Also the soaps last. Let them dry as on the cedar dock and you will see that your money goes a long way -All positive experience. read more

What a hidden gem. I was just at this store on July 19, 2018, and I was very very happy I found it. The gentleman working there, I wish I got his name, was so helpful without being pushy or in my face( like people at Lush). He was an older gentleman and he knew his stuff. I happily stumbled upon this shop when passing through Santa Fe on Christmas Eve. The gentleman keeping shop was very courteous and patient, even with my very curious 4 year old! He invited her to help him chop some soap in the soap cutter, making her experience fun and interactive! I purchased an assortment of soaps and bath fizzies as gifts, as well as a muscle relief massage oil and bath tea for my husband, a professional athlete. We even received a couple little samples. I purchased some soap while on a small vacation in Santa Fe and its wonderful! I had a lovely chat with the owners about San Francisco and some of the 'not touristy' places to go. There were several unique soaps and shave soaps - I seriously could not make up my mind on which to purchase - good thing they have an online store because I love the Honey Almond that I bought! First off, folks, I live in Georgia... GEORGIA... and have not had the pleasure of visiting the Santa Fe Soap Ranch in person. I have, however, been enjoying the products of this lovely establishment for several months and, frankly, I'm hooked! By total happenstance (or divine intervention) I purchased a bar of the Pine Tar soap from my local Marshall's (!) because the scent was lovely and I've battled eczema since I was 2. Why not take a chance? My gamble totally paid off, the soap is amazing. My skin looks, feels and smells amazing, not at all my typical experience with hygiene products. I'm so marveled by this product that I've doled out samples to friends and family who are suffering with sensitive skin. If you have eczema, psoriasis, dry/itchy problematic skin, I encourage to give this company a shot. For me, the results far outweigh my $6 investment. read more

AMAZING RESULTS!! "Pine tar soap" makes you think.... what is THAT???? Well I do not know WHAT it is, however I do know IT WORKS! I purchased this for my boyfriend (who is leary of "magic potions" lol (aka anything that isn't purchased at a chain store). He has extremely dry skin (he has to apply lotion 3-5 times a day or he is miserable.) After using the pine tar soap 1 TIME he felt a difference. When he ran out he noticed within a day and was back to applying heaps of lotion (which still did not work as well as the soap.) So he just received his order of 2 LOAVES (not bars) because he never wants to run out again. read more

I ran into this beautiful and fragrance-filled store at my first visit to Santa Fe. The store manager was super friendly and helpful. Traveling from California, I was pleasantly surprised to know that these organic hand-crafted soaps were mostly $6 a piece only. I'm used to buying from Gamila Secret for $50/bar and am looking forward go try and see if the Santa Fe Soap Ranch products would be comparable. read more

I have battled with Rosacea for the past 10 years and more recently Seborrhic Dandruff (Dandruff of the face). I have spent many years going to countless dermatologists only to be prescribed lots of expensive topicals that only irritated my sensitive Celtic skin. Recently I decided to try the Pine Tar soap and OMG this stuff is a miracle. The redness and scaly skin is gone. My skin is back to it's fair color from my youth. I never thought I'd find something so simple as a soap to clear up my skin. I love that this is natural unlike the bleaching creams and chemicals from my Dermatologist.
