Had a lovely experience at Santa Fe Goldworks. Decided to stop by there even though had given up on buying myself anything turquoise. I wanted turquoise in gold setting. It's hard to find that in Santa Fe because almost every store has turquoise in silver. Even when other stores have a gold setting it's very shiny ... not a brushed or matted gold finish. We had Samuel Escue (sales manager) help us, who was extremely helpful(just found his card in the packaging). We purchased a pair of 4mm turquoise (sleeping beauty) in a simple but solid and classy gold setting. Will include pics. Looks so beautiful can't stop admiring the purchase.

Ten years later and we're still in love with David's jewelry. We continue to purchase his exquisite designs and get many compliments.

I went to pick up my ring, and got a very heartfelt apology. I wouldn't hesitate to give them my business again.

James has been our family jeweler for decades--birthdays, graduations, weddings, special…read moreanniversaries, and a few repairs along the way. I always hope I'll have to wait--so many beautiful things to admire--but he and his team are very efficient. James is an inspired designer who can translate your vision into unique pieces you and your family will treasure.

My soon to be husband went to this shop on the recommendation of a friend for my engagement ring…read more He had no actual diamonds to show him so we went elsewhere. When I decided to change the wedding band to go with my halo ring we went to him again. He recommended a curved band with some smallish diamonds in it. I asked almost joking what am I going to do with my original band that had much smaller diamonds in it. He suggested he mount them to my engagement ring shank. I asked how will that look? He said "beautiful". Sad to say, it did not look beautiful. The diamonds were buried in the shank, the tool marks very visible and to make things worse, the mountings were not equally set as far as depth goes. I went to him to let him know how I felt and he offered to put larger diamonds in it. Said those little diamonds are really hard to do. My question: why did he sell me on the idea? James gave me a price to do bigger diamonds that he said was special. I checked around. It was not. So now I have the original wrecked wedding band, and an engagement ring that now looks somewhat homemade. I feel I gave James who seems like a nice guy, the opportunity to make it right. He did not. And he will not get that opportunity again with me. I had met with another custom jeweler here in Santa Fe (MH). We have planned a very thoughtful design with much time involved to remedy the issues and says that if I am not thrilled, he will remake the rings until I am thrilled. I did want a slight alteration and he was happy to do so.
