Castle Gold & Silver treated me and my watches like we were family. Knowledgeable and friendly, they are fully prepared to make sure your needs are met. I recommend them without hesitation. (They also honored my hoary head with a softer hit when it came time to pay for their attention to my watches.) read more

Very nice selection available and the owners are knowledgeable and helpful people to do business with. I always enjoy stopping by even if I don't end up buying anything. I've recommended Castle Gold & Silver to many friends with mixed reactions. It's not a New York City top tier name brand jewelry store. But that's the point. Most people don't understand that when you buy from a "fashion designer" jewelry brand you're paying a large mark-up for the name. Whereas when you purchase your jewelry from a shop like Castle, you'll be buying the actual value of the precious stones, metal, and workmanship. Oftentimes, you may even find some of those designer jewelry pieces which a customer received as a gift, but decided didn't suit her style. A true find for those of us who don't have the time for shopping trips out-of-town! In all, you can't go wrong by stopping by to see what's new at Castle Gold & Silver! read more

They are amazing. Love it there. Very friendly and want to help you find the right gift you want. They treat you like family. They carry coins, jewelry, they do watch battery replacement, and they are able to resize your ring on sight. Love it there. read more

I have had the best experience going to Castle!! The owner and staff are very courteous and helpful, especially Christele!! Not only is she EXTREMELY knowledgeable and courteous to her customers, but she will also provide a great and honest evaluation of your items for possible purchase. She has provided the BEST information and service to me and to many other customers have told me they rely on her dependable assistance on questions they have during their transactions. I have been to other similar businesses, but have found this one, along with Christeles expertise, to be the best!! read more

I brought in several coins that I had been saving for some time. I was treated very fairly and I believe I was given what the true value was for the coins. I plan to return some time in the future. read more

I am new to collecting coins or "stacking". The first place I went was Castle Gold & Silver & they were very nice. You never know how people are going treat you, when you're a beginner. The folks who helped me were patient and understanding I got to see some cool coins & made my very first purchase there! I am definitely going back & would recommend them to anyone. read more

Today I walked in and asked them to replace 5 watch batteries, and then they evaluated the watches and gave me an estimate totally within the ballpark, and Wednesday is their "watch batteries are half price" day. I went to lunch and came back afterwards and picked them up. Great personalities and good business sense; they didn't look down on me just because I'm only asking to replace watch batteries. But I was sold on Castle Gold and Silver last several years ago when I had a personally important watch that no one could repair: it was a solar powered watch and no one could or would touch it. I stopped in Castle G&S for new watch batteries and had this special watch with me. They looked at it and said "Sure, we can repair it." I told them to take their time and I'll pick it up next week when back in the area of town. Came back a week later and its held its time ever since. I take all my watches there now. Period. BTW, they also have a small but nice selection of SW jewelry. read more

This is definitely a great place to go shop for used fine jewelry such as watches, necklaces, rings, bracelets and etc. You can also sell your jewelry and they test it for authenticity. They also repair watches. I took my dad's watch that the band was too long and they made it to his size. The team of folks are very professional and respectful. They have high security in place for the staff safety and your safety. Overall clean and neat place. Definitely looking forward to my next visit. read more

If you want to buy or sell from people who really know their stuff, come here. They have a seasoned watch maker on staff and an apprentice. The employees have decades of experience between them on coins and bullion. They constantly have new watches and jewelry coming in so it's worth going frequently to spot a new favorite. read more

The place looks sketchy from the outside and this is an example of you CAN tell a book by its cover. The quote I was given for the jewelry item I was selling was beyond ridiculous - it was shameful. I thanked them, left and immediately went to another place which looked much more legitimate. They gave me a quote for nearly three times what Castle offered. read more

This is the third time I have been to Castle in the past three weeks. They have lowest prices in the city on watch batteries - I needed 5 for my watch collection - and saved quite a bit. Also This is the third time I sold some jewelry and again they beat the prices offered by any stores in the area. I am sure I will be selling more gold, silver, watches in the coming months and I will definitely go directly to Castle as I have learned that no one can compete with them on prices offered for these items. read more

Great professional service! They fixed my watch quickly (installed new battery and fitted the watch band to my wrist.) Great price too, highly recommend! read more

went in to inquire about selling gold and silver, and the prices they quoted were very low. Would not suggest this place if you want to get a fair price for your gold and silver treasures. There are other places in town that give much better prices read more

Personable service. They explained all about real vs not sterling silver.showroom was attractive and clean

Quick in and out for a watch battery replacement. The guy was super nice and helpful - he even gave me a resale estimate for my thrift store prize ($120 for the $6 I paid). They have a well-priced selection of resale jewelry that I perused during my short wait. Wish I'd bought the pair of squash blossom earrings I saw. Perhaps I'll go back and see if they still have them.... read more

Quick respond; good service with great prices. I would highly recommend this company.

I bring my wrist watches here for battery replacement. They charge far less that what the jewelry stores were charging. Service is fast and friendly. It's half-price for seniors on Wednesdays, which is a great deal. I highly recommend this business. read more

Great customer service. My husband purchased gold coins and was given very fair price

Great little shop. They have every kind of jewelry here from diamonds to Native American. Some interesting vintage pieces too. Super nice, knowledgeable staff and very honest pricing. read more

I needed two batteries and went by the reviews. I was not disappointed. Friendly staff and honest. I had a unique watch carabiner and the employee said he needed my permission to continue to work on the carabiner as it was not the usual watch carabiner they ever had worked on and gave me the possible scenarios of what may take place once they opened the back of the watch. With permission, he was very relieved to be able to replace the battery successully. Being unaware it was on a Wednesday when I was at the shop, he advised me that it was senior day and that I would get 50% off for the batteries. I was grateful that he gave me the discount and I left on happy terms. Definitely recommend this buiness. read more

Thrilled to find Linda and the very nice team at Castle Gold & Silver. It's like a neighborhood gem, couldn't be happier with the expert repair of my vintage pieces, the care and attention at an affordable price. I have my eye on some purchases next, it's rare to see beautiful things without sticker shock :) read more

They are super good and quick. Do good work and reasonable! Adjusted my watch and polished my diamond ring

This place was amazing! Super friendly folks and they replaced my (very ordinary) watch battery for $10 in 2 minutes! Couldn't have been any better! Highly recommended! read more

I had been to Castle Gold before to sell my gold that I didn't want and got what I thought was a decent price. This time, I came in with my beautiful Sterling silver earrings that still had my tags from an attempt to sell them at a too quiet shop. The staff tested them and formed a pile of my best Vintage, unique Artist produced earrings that I collected when living in New York City. Simply beautiful and expensive merchandise. The 8 earrings would easily run about $300-$400 retail when resold. I was offered $52. I understand a business needs to hold off about 20% to make a profit, but she did not weigh the marked silver. To me, this was not a fair offer. This was an effort to exploit someone. An attempt to gouge someone who might be in need. I'm a former 9/11 rescue worker who wants to pay off some bills but I kept my dignity intact and walked out. I chose to write this review instead. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

Got the watch battery I needed for $5 when several other places did not have the one I required. Fast and friendly. read more

Great, speedy service, super friendly staff...will definitely go back for watch batteries and repair!

Honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I've come here a few times to have a watched repaired and I'm always surprised at how little I'm charged for something they've took time to fix. Again, it's always awesome to find a gem like this that treats you the way they do...hence why they've more than likely been in business as long as they have been and why they have the reputation that they do. Well done!! read more

I had a watch in need of a band and a battery. 10 minutes I was out the door good to go. Rick seems very knowledge about coins as well. I'll go back. read more

I highly recommend this business. A few years back they fixed my wedding ring, gold ring had worn thin, and a couple of prongs were missing. Ring looked like new when picked it up. Recently I was taking my ring off and the diamond popped off. Took it to get it fixed, went to pick it up. Ring looked like new again, but I noticed that one of the small baguettes on the side was missing, I hadn't noticed it before. The lady looked and apologized that they did not notice either. So, I left it there, it was going to be about $50 to fix it. My ring is about 24 years old. Got a call about 15 minutes later that they would fix it, replace the baguette, at no charge. Honest and fair people. I was so surprised but very happy to get that call. There is still integrity out there. read more

I had been searching for a place to get watch batteries changed and noticed this little storefront one morning. The place buys gold and silver, so when I was there waiting for my watches (the jeweler was happy to do them while I waited), a number of people got buzzed in to have their wares appraised by the lady that was there, but none of them were happy with the amount offered. That was pretty interesting. The cost is $8 each, but it was the least expensive I could find after looking around for almost a month; I found it convenient and the proprietor pleasant. read more

After a bad experience with another clock business in town I was a little apprehensive about taking my watch anywhere. I was very wrong! Nice and knowledgeable staff , changed a couple of batteries for me on the spot. I came in to get my watch batteries replaced. I had not replaced the batteries because it's usually very time consuming and expensive. I decided to stop by Castle Gold and Silver and I was very happy with the service I received. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, helpful, and the service was speedy. I also feel that the price for the watch battery and service fee is exceptionally fair. I will not hesitate to come back to get my battery replaced once that day comes. read more

Nice people and friendly service. Had two watch batteries replaced in a short amount of time.

When we purchased items we believed we were treated well, given great deals, and actually left very happy. We recently have had some issues, and found we needed to leverage some of our investments in order to stay afloat. That's when we found that we were all but lied to, the items we were so proud of were almost worthless. I even brought a diamond ring back to Castle, under guise of selling jewelry, to hear them tell me that the ring I purchased from them for 200$(which i understand us not a lot) they would only offer 35$ to buy back. To be fair, after I explained what happened, and how upset I was to learn these things, they did bump the 35 to 48, on a ring that a pawn broker wouldn't even accept for collateral. read more

My Wife had some old jewelry that she could't really wear anymore, so we started looking for gold buying stores, and found this one. Out of all the stores we researched, this was the only one that showed you exactly how to determine the value of your gold; the instructions are on their website. Let's just say this place made my Wife's day, maybe her month. Very helpful, polite, friendly and knowledgeable business. read more

I went in for a watch repair. I had broken the band on my watch. The 2 gentlemen working were extremely friendly. It turns out my watch needed a new pin. I will definitely recommend this place for all watch or jewelry repairs! Thank you Albuquerque watch and jewelry repair! read more
