I've recommended Castle Gold & Silver to many friends with mixed reactions. It's not a New York City top tier name brand jewelry store. But that's the point. Most people don't understand that when you buy from a "fashion designer" jewelry brand you're paying a large mark-up for the name. Whereas when you purchase your jewelry from a shop like Castle, you'll be buying the actual value of the precious stones, metal, and workmanship. Oftentimes, you may even find some of those designer jewelry pieces which a customer received as a gift, but decided didn't suit her style. A true find for those of us who don't have the time for shopping trips out-of-town! In all, you can't go wrong by stopping by to see what's new at Castle Gold & Silver!

If you go on a weekend and the senior aged lady is working there run away! My husband and I both have an un-healthy infatuation with watches and visit this shop to have the batteries replaced when we have accumulated a few. Our current visit we had 6. They were quick and efficient and we were told that out of the 6 watches, 2 of them already had lifetime battery warranties so they were free. Yay! Out of the remaining 4 only 3 of them qualified for lifetime because one of the watches had a screw on back. Then, senior aged lady proceeded to charge us for 4 lifetime batteries. Wait, what? You can't change it because you already rang us up? Huh? Minus 1 star. Then when my husband informed her that he also receives a military discount as he has been given on numerous occasions at this location, he shows her his Veteran status ID. She asks for his military ID. He doesn't have one. He served 14 years active duty, he is s veteran. He protected our country and her behind for 14 years and she proceeded to tell him that unless he's Retired or Active Duty he doesn't deserve a discount. . Minus 1 more star. She reluctantly gives the discount and informs him this is a one time deal. My husband didn't serve in the USAF for 14 years to be disrespected.
