We got to the building at 3:05. I ran into building and asked front desk 208 podiatry. He gave me directions. Got to where he said. Guess what no podiatry in this building. Next one over. Called them at 312 and said we went to wrong building. She said well it's too late. We will have to reschedule. I told her I had already pre-registered. Sorry too late. So ridiculous. I am sure I probably would still be sitting in waiting room if I had been on time. Things happen. I do not know what the drs are like but their office people have no empathy. I have an infection in my foot. Diabetes and neuropathy. But oh well too bad. I am sure they will get the money from insurance. They already got my 50.00 co pay! Never again!

I did not have a podiatrist, I called my PCP for a recommendation. He referred me to Dr Richard Eisner. I called his office. the staff was very understanding and accommodating. I was given an immediate appointment due to the circumstances. Dr Eisner took xrays to rule out any fractures, then he treated my injury ( I won't go into the details ). Dr. Eisner is extremely thorough, gentile and informative. An expert in his field. I have been to many podiatrist over the years and he is the best. Dr. Catherine Wu did not show up for my bunionectomy On…read more3/22/18. I was prepped on the gurney with the IV in place consulted with anesthesiologist and signed consents. The surgical unit was book for 9:00 am the doctor never showed up. Her office had reconfirmed the night before as did the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. The hospital called her approximately 9:20 am she asked to speak to me. Dr. Wu told me there was some error she didn't know I was scheduled for surgery. She said she could have got to the hospital with in 45 minutes but the hospital told her they would not be able to block any more space. She says she rebooked it for the following Friday at 10:00 am. She told me she would update my employer because of the error by that day before the end in the day. (( Dr. Wu refused previously to advise my employer of any information on the surgery or the medical leave necessity including the approximate projected recovery time. At one point after I asked for the information to be sent she got on the phone yelling at me for asking. I had to provide my employer with the paperwork she sent me confirming the surgery but still refused to provide any information on the projected recovery and she refused to advise my employer of her error causing it to look as a very sketchy situation ))The next day after the intended date of original surgery she called me to cancel the replacement date due to erroneous reasons. If I listed these reasons your head would spin off of your neck. Since I am in between speaking with several people I will refrain from giving you these reasons but I will update you once I have this issue settled. Unprofessional, rude, uncaring, unethical, uninterested or knowledgeable of my case, untruthful, wacky choice of wording and poor decision making is amongst only a few adjectives that come to mind to describe her. Despicable unacceptable Doctor.

My foot is in need of repair and-- my left knee needs replaced. He is VERY experienced and he was extremely thoughtful in how to explain my situation without talking over my head. ALL he said and did make GREAT sense to me. We can try the nonsurgical method of treatment after the knee is put in. If I needed a more complicated procedure, he openly/honestly said it could be done-- although a colleague Surgeon of his, who is experienced with that procedure, he would recommend to me. We both agreed to try the less invasive first...and THAT being done AFTER I got the new knee. He told me to talk it over with my knee surgeon 1st and see if he agreed. I did..and my Knee surgeon is in total agreement with Dr. Conui's assessment and gave him high praises for such an accurate, well educated & honest opinion. Dr. Conui will always be my Podiatrist/Surgeon from now on until he retires. The staff in his Wakefield, Ma. office are TOP NOTCH also! VERY GOOD group there. Made m feel at home!
