The best meal we had while in Munich! We came in for a late lunch, and there weren't very many people. The service was fast and friendly, and I really like the colorful decor. We ordered dal soup, samosa, and chicken korma. I also got a sweet lassi to drink. Having been to India, I have a high bar for what I consider good Indian food, and Sangeet has amazing food. Everything was fresh and delicious. I'm so sad that we're leaving Munich and won't be able to come back. If you don't stop by Sangeet for a meal, you are missing out. read more

It was expensive. Let's get that out of the way right now. My prawn curry (pictured) was €22.90 on its own. Now for the good stuff: We'd reserved for a large group (15+ on a Tuesday evening) and the place was otherwise relatively quiet. Service was attentive & warmed up to an actually friendly level after chatting in Urdu and Hindi with some of our party. We showed up at 8 & kept them busy until about 10:30, which alone can cause some staff to get surly - but our servers were polite and patient until the end; they teased us about our inability to handle hot spices, brought complementary papadam for the whole group, and even handed out Chupa Chups when we paid at the end. The best part of the night for me was their willingness to prepare prawn korma, although only chicken korma was officially on the menu. They charged the same as for all their prawn curries, and it was absolutely excellent. The prawns were huge, meaty, and flavorful - almost like lobster. I actually couldn't quite conquer the dish, either, although it seemed small-ish at first impression. Despite its price, it was worth it. Plenty of basmati rice was brought out on platters for us to share, and I think everyone had enough of everything; not always easy at such a huge table. My mango lassi was small (0,2L) but heavenly. My plain nan was fluffy and large. I would definitely return & recommend, but with the expectation that it's going to be a bit spendy. read more

My second time here - and the food was good again! Although I have the admit I wasn't as brave this time and ordered plain old tandoori chicken and chicken jalfrezi (spicy by German standards), and not the chicken vindaloo curry (inedibly spicy even by Indian standards!). Jalfrezi has been my fav dish here so far. I was slightly disappointed by the lachha parantha, which I ordinarily prefer over regular (butter) naan. All in all a good experience but I've had better Indian food in Munich. Also really expensive! read more

A nice little Indian restaurant around the corner from Odeons platz. They have an all you can eat buffet lunchtimes taht works out to under 15EUR with a drink. There is usually a selection of 5 dishes available on the buffet suplemented with Nan and popadoms with relishes. Their menu is also quite large and there are some good dishes hidden in there. read more

This restaurant used to be our go to Indian place. I ate here so many times. With family. With friends. So many times. But the last two, three times were underwhelming to say at least. Today I ordered chicken ticka. A dish that used to come on a sizzling hot dish. Today it came out without the sizzling sound. So I thought to myself: not a good sign. I really felt like they warmed it up in the microwave. The rice served in this restaurant used to be beautiful. Loose and a bit fatty. Today it was dry, clumpy and on the cold side. A total letdown. If you knew me you'd know I'd be the last one to complain about prices if the food was good. The problem is that this place is going down the hill but the prices keep rising. This is probably the most expensive Indian restaurant in Munich by now but definitely not the best. And that's a problem you see. After having eaten here so many times I feel really sad about what happened to this place. It's a shame but I can't recommend nor patronize this place any longer! read more

Bad atmosphere, bad service, bad food. I liked it some years ago but quality has dramatically changed. Cannot recommend this. read more

So I would actually choose 2.5 stars for this place. It was Ok, but I've had better (in Schwabing). Service: I was not so impressed. We reserved for 6 people on a Tuesday night and we ended up arriving 15 minutes early. When we first arrived it took quite some time before anyone came and even tried to seat us (so we were standing at the door for some time). Then, once someone finally helped us they made a table for us rather quickly, which was nice. However, once we were seating it was almost as if they had forgotten about us because no one came to take our drink orders for some time. Once we finally ordered, the food came once again pretty quickly though. However, we had 1 person join us late (while we were eating) and in the end no one came and asked him if he wanted anything so he never ended up even getting something to drink before we left. The one really nice thing I can say about the service is that the waiters were friendly and at the end they brought us a nice mango liquor. The food: It's a little on the pricey side, but for the location still reasonable. Most of the dinners were around 11 -16€. I ordered the Chicken Tikki Masala and garlic naan. I specifically asked for the dinner to be "gar nichts scharf" (not spicy whatsoever). I know this is strange for an Indian restaurant, but I do it all the time at my favorite Indian in Munich and it's no problem. When my food came, the naan was delicious. The chicken was pretty spicy and I could barely eat it. In fact, I ended up asking then to pack 3/4ths of it to go. Next less-than-satisfactory point: when I got home I realized they literally only packed the chicken, no rice to go with it. :-( I know this is not a big deal, but it was so spicy I couldn't eat it without rice and then I had to go out and buy some (we were out in the house) and it would have been so easy for them to have included some, like the rest that they cleared from our table... The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was packed. However, I don't think this will be on my list of places to go back to anytime soon. I wouldn't avoid it if someone else wanted to go, but I don't think I would suggest it either. read more

A bit pricy, but great food and authentic Indian cuisine for Munich. We usually go with a large group and the service is attentive.
