I love this gym! I've been a member for 5 years and wouldn't go anywhere else! It's great if you little ones because they offer 2 hours of child care every day while you workout. I love the group classes, they are what keeps me sane, I get alone time while also getting the healthy competition from other members in class, and the variety is perfect! I have done wicked workout, hiit, spin, trx, pilates, yoga, weight lifting, and running! I go at least 5 days a week and am never bored. I love that all I have to do is show up and the instructors are there ready to workout with us and have every workout ready to make you sweat! We are a family, I even worked out through my entire pregnancy, and I'm now 11 months post partum and in the best shape of my life! They do so much to help families, kids, the elderly and the community! They are amazing! YMCA staff is the best! read more

There isn't much open swim time and the playground can't be used by members even when the daycare part is closed. Too much money considering you can work out anywhere for much cheaper, the pool has minimal availability, and you can't even use the playground while you're waiting for other family members to finish what they are doing anymore. Also not sure why, but this one annoying kid is always there and won't leave you alone. read more

Overpriced monthly membership that keeps going up every year. Facility is almost always filled with obnoxious teenagers from the swim team, who think that they own the locker rooms and can do or say whatever they want - making members feel extremely uncomfortable and parents of young kids extremely offended. There are swim meets almost constantly - so the facility is always overcrowded. The audio controls on most of the cardio equipment is almost always broken, so unless you're very lucky, you won't be able to use the audio jack to watch TV while you work out. The only person you will be able to talk to is the person at the front desk - the "directors" are nearly always inaccessible and impossible to reach when needed. If you need to just get in a good workout - you'd probably be better off buying a much cheaper membership at Planet Fitness across town. Or if you're looking for a class - there are plenty popping up around town that are great, and you won't have to deal with offensive teenage girls in the locker room getting into your personal space, or overly-loud pre-pubescent boys in the men's locker room yelling and screaming without any staff doing anything about it. Most lower-income members get to use the facility at cut-rate cost or free, leaving the rest of the membership paying inordinate rates to make up for it. It's just not worth it if you can avoid it. read more

Been swimming at the Y for years. Lots of activities for all ages. Although the facility is an older one, a new wing is under construction. I think its worth the cost. There are many programs to take advantage of from their after school programs for kids to the Trafton Senior Center. read more

I appreciate our Y because of the Prime time babysitting program. Without it, I could never work out! It is a busy place, but important in my community. read more
