Last year, we booked a room at this inn and arrived only to be told they had accidentally double-booked our room. We were offered ZERO compensation and, because it was rodeo weekend, the nearest accommodation we could find was in Steinbach. It was incredibly frustrating and left a very bad taste in our mouths. Against our better judgment, we booked here again this year. Knowing what happened last time, I actually called before starting to travel to confirm our stay AND specifically to confirm that our room was booked and that we would not arrive to another double-booking situation. We drove all the way from Gimli tonight, arrived to check in and -- unbelievably -- THEY DOUBLE-BOOKED OUR ROOM AGAIN. Now, after attending our event tonight, we have no room to return to and have to drive all the way back to Gimli. Once could be an unfortunate mistake. Twice -- after I specifically called ahead because of what happened the first time -- is completely unacceptable. I genuinely do not understand how an inn can operate this way. Your most basic responsibility is to manage your room reservations, and somehow ours has been mishandled two years in a row. We planned our evening around having accommodation, drove a significant distance, and did everything we possibly could to make sure this wouldn't happen again. It still did. To say we are angry and disappointed is an understatement. I would have absolutely no confidence booking a room here again.

I decided to take advantage of this deal by fetching dinner from this Domino's Pizza near the start of my stay in Steinbach. I love staying in Steinbach. It has everything that I like and need, including this lone Domino's pizza. I placed my order through the Domino's app for these items: - Sixteen-piece garlic bites - Medium deluxe pizza I was parked steps away from this Domino's when I placed the order. It's next door to Subway, which is next to a cannabis store. I got an estimated time that my order would be ready. I sat patiently in my rental vehicle. I saw a few folks going into this Domino's, including the delivery guy. It's a popular pizza joint. When it was time to pick up my order, I headed inside the eatery. There was one customer waiting for her food. I approached the counter. I got a friendly female staffer. I indicated that I had an order under my name. She nodded and fetched my two boxes. I specified paying at the store, as I didn't have any payment methods set up on the Domino's app. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I got my two boxes from this woman and thanked her. She reciprocated. I carried my food to my car and then took less than two minutes to drive back to the hotel. Once I was in my hotel room, I had the garlic bites first. They were delicious. They had the perfect amount of buttery garlic on each pillowy, doughy bite. It was my first time having them. I loved them. I went with a smaller pizza. I would have got a large if I didn't have garlic bites. The medium deluxe pizza was perfect. I had half of the pizza for dinner and half for breakfast the following day. The deluxe is so good. I've always loved the combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. The tomato sauce was bright and yummy with provolone and mozzarella cheeses. The crust was perfect. I loved this pizza so much. It's a decent Domino's. I'd return again for more good eats. (298)

This location was a couple of blocks away from where I was staying. Nice! I decided to do takeout. I placed my order online. When I lived in Winnipeg, my go-to pizza joints were Papa Georges in my neighbourhood of Osborne Village and Jumbo Pizza. Sadly, both are gone. It was time for me to find a local pizza place. Fun fact: I had never ordered pizza from Santa Lucia until this visit. I tend to get baked spaghetti. It's excellent. There was an online deal to get this bundle, so I did: - Two bottled soft drinks (591 mL) - One 10" three-topping (pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers) pizza - A pound of wings with honey dill sauce I got an estimated time of thirty minutes. It was perfect for me to go shopping for fruit, pick up this dinner order, and then head back to my hotel room to chow down. I had no problem finding this pizza place. I did have a tough time finding a parking spot. I couldn't temporarily park in front to the entrance for a pick-up-and-go approach. There was a golf cart taking up that spot and being loaded with a ton of cold cans of pop. This eatery is a part of Steinback Fly-in Golf Club. This eatery shares the same parking lot with Steinbach Aquatic Centre. It explained why I found a spot closer to this sports centre than Santa Lucia. There's also a park across from both places, which explains the parking situation even more. There was a woman with a newborn in front of the eatery. It was a shaded area for them on such a hot day. Out of all the Santa Lucia restaurants that I have frequented, this one is the nicest. It was so fancy seeing three different types of mints on the table. Note to self: When I'm here again, I will have a dine-in meal. It's gorgeous! Two young folks were so kind when I approached the welcome area. I indicated that I had an online order. Both nodded. The male fetched my food. The female confirmed that I had paid online and that I could grab my two bottled drinks from the fridge. I got my wings and pizza. The former was in a box in a paper bag. The pizza was in its own box. This place has Pepsi products. Sadly, there wasn't any Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Zero, so I went with regular. Because I was carrying so much stuff. I had a difficult time pushing the door to get out. The mom outside was kind to open the door for me. I thanked her profusely. She was friendly and great. I appreciated her help! I got to my vehicle and was happy to put away all my items. The two cold drinks and wings went into my insulated bag. I made sure that my pizza was secured before I drove back to the hotel. I started with the wings. I got a generous number of them. It was a full dozen of breaded, plump wings. They were crispy and delicious. The honey dill sauce was divine! I dipped each wing into it. I'd get the wings again with this sauce. They were excellent! I'm so glad that this meal deal featured a 10" pizza. I had half of it that evening. I heated everything up the following day for breakfast. I loved my pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers pizza. The sauce was so good. The pizza was crispy and chewy where they should be. The ingredients were fresh and flavourful. I can see why this pizza chain has been around longer than I have been on this planet. The pizza was top-notch, featuring quality ingredients that screamed yummy. I was pleased to get two bottles of Pepsi. I had one with my meal. It was cold, although sweeter than I generally would like. I put the other one in my mini fridge and had it the following day. I had a wonderful experience here.
