I am on Domino's mailing list. I got a message that I could get sixteen pieces of garlic bites for free. They were free thanks to Canada winning against South Africa in a knockout round in FIFA World Cup action. Yay! I decided to take advantage of this deal by fetching dinner from this Domino's Pizza near the start of my stay in Steinbach. I love staying in Steinbach. It has everything that I like and need, including this lone Domino's pizza. I placed my order through the Domino's app for these items: - Sixteen-piece garlic bites - Medium deluxe pizza I was parked steps away from this Domino's when I placed the order. It's next door to Subway, which is next to a cannabis store. I got an estimated time that my order would be ready. I sat patiently in my rental vehicle. I saw a few folks going into this Domino's, including the delivery guy. It's a popular pizza joint. When it was time to pick up my order, I headed inside the eatery. There was one customer waiting for her food. I approached the counter. I got a friendly female staffer. I indicated that I had an order under my name. She nodded and fetched my two boxes. I specified paying at the store, as I didn't have any payment methods set up on the Domino's app. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I got my two boxes from this woman and thanked her. She reciprocated. I carried my food to my car and then took less than two minutes to drive back to the hotel. Once I was in my hotel room, I had the garlic bites first. They were delicious. They had the perfect amount of buttery garlic on each pillowy, doughy bite. It was my first time having them. I loved them. I went with a smaller pizza. I would have got a large if I didn't have garlic bites. The medium deluxe pizza was perfect. I had half of the pizza for dinner and half for breakfast the following day. The deluxe is so good. I've always loved the combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. The tomato sauce was bright and yummy with provolone and mozzarella cheeses. The crust was perfect. I loved this pizza so much. It's a decent Domino's. I'd return again for more good eats. (298)

We ordered drinks including water. The water never came and after delivering our drinks that was the last we saw of him until well after we were well finished eating. Not taking the chance of being here another half hour we took the cookie and the bill.

It turns out we arrived just at closing time (7pm), but Eva insisted on serving us and having us dine in rather than taking our food to-go. The pizza we ordered was wonderful and I would welcome a trip back there again to try other things from the menu. We were the last ones in the restaurant and Eva was so nice, to the point that she sat chatting with us into the evening, as if we were old friends who had paid her a visit. What an incredibly friendly and interesting woman she is! On the way home we talked about what an enjoyable evening it had been and how glad we were to have gone. "Wow, can you believe THAT?" was actually spoken by my friend, referring to Eva's incredible hospitality and easy conversation. We consider ourselves lucky to have arrived just in the nick of time before the door was locked, and went away feeling like we'd made a new friend. It's a bit of a drive if you're from Winnipeg, but if you feel up to a little road trip I would highly recommend heading out to Vita and stopping in at Eva's. Now this Jake's is in a different location and much smaller but it is nice and clean and the people working there are very friendly. I moved out of the area but when I come back, I always go to Jake's as it is a nostalgic place for me. The pizza has always been decent until this last time when we came in October 2025. I don't know what happened but it didn't taste anything like before! The crust was like cardboard - hard and tasteless. The sauce didn't seem the same either as it was pretty bland. I talked with a few locals and they seemed to share the same opinion as me, it is definitely not the same as before. I was so disappointed and probably won't go back.
