All of the bathrooms were new, nice and have hair dryers. The beds were comfortable. They provide parking for 2 cars which is nice. It was a short walk from our villa to the pool area. There is a covered section with tables and a cute little pool. Right behind the pool is the dock and a grill area. We will certainly be back!

And if you ever need help finding your house, just ask people at the pool, I'm positive they'll help you (unless nobody is there) and don't get me started with the inside!! There's a whole jacuzzi in the bathroom some units might not have one. There's also a sofa bed. 4 beds in total, two bathrooms, and one kitchen, may sound boring but trust me, nowhere NEAR being boring. In my opinion, it's worth the money.

They had a $250 credit that you can use at any bar or restaurant at any of their sister properties, including the Amanda Cay Resort a few blocks up the road.

They have a great menu for lunch options that they bring out to you. The room was very clean, modern, and spacious. You can request a microwave if you need too! Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing. The day before my trip, I came down with a cold and decided not to travel. At the same time, I accidentally dropped my phone in the pool and could not make calls. I immediately used my tablet to email both Booking.com and Amara Cay to cancel my reservation. Despite my efforts, the cancellation was not properly handled. When I finally got a replacement phone and called 24 hours later, I was passed back and forth between Amara Cay and Booking.com with no resolution. I was ultimately charged for both nights as a "no-show." Even more frustrating, according to the stated policy, a no-show should result in a charge for one night, not two. Amara Cay later emailed me twice saying they would look into the matter, but no one ever followed up. After more than ten years of being a loyal guest, I am very disappointed. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to cross Amara Cay off my list. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

Despite being fellow Floridians, they treated us like pirates. Due to the poor condition, we were nervous to take it too far. We returned the boat free of damages, and they refused to give us our deposit back. *Be warned if the boat breaks down (even due to their negligence) it's YOUR cost. We're headed back to the Keys this month. Since we believe in supporting local, we wanted to give them another shot. Note, that the lousy first experience wasn't enough for a review. My husband spoke to the owner direct and explained we were staying this time in Marathon. The owner argued we couldn't keep a rental boat in Marathon, despite pointing out their black and white content on their website (see image). Again, they were rude and their prices are outrageous. Congrats, now you have an honest review exposing your incompetence and corruption. Thanks for your lack of manners. We were able to rent a higher quality, newer, two-engine, larger boat for cheaper elsewhere.

We were embarrassed that we had invited relatives to go on this vacation with us. The house stunk. It looked as if there had been an attempt at renovation but someone gave up. Outside, there were construction debris and a trash container with a hideous odor (which had obviously been sitting for some time beside the street). There were mold and holes in the walls both upstairs and downstairs. Some lightning fixtures were installed too near the ceilings and the paint was burning off. We were afraid to leave the lights on for too long a time. One load of clothes in the washer and dryer took a very, very long time to cycle. The linens were threadbare and the mattresses uncomfortable. We were seriously overcharged for this rental and will never return to Islamorada."
