we came to the St. Regis after staying at the Wyndam in palmas del mar and…read more irs been absolutely wonderful here. The people here are so accommodating; they have 3 restaurants on the property and they are all equally good. from formal to casual you can't go wrong eating at any of them. i'm a marriott member and had some points that i used for one night and im happy i took advantage of it. unfortunately they are converting the property to a 4 seasons and it will be far more expensive to stay here. The st. regis operates like a luxury hotel should. i would give it 10 stars if i could. i used the spa facilities and the massages we got were first notch. and jesselyn was a great nature guide that took us around the property. we are sad to be leaving.

For all that this St Regis offers, the website does a terrible job of showcasing it. So here goes!…read more For kids There is an animal shelter with dogs and cats and specialist who will educate you about the animals. There is a small farm with goats to feed. My young kids were delighted with this. There is a boathouse area with free kayaking, standup paddle boarding and inflatable playground. This boathouse also offers more high-tech water sports equipment for rent. For families There are adult bikes and children's bikes on the resort that are complementary. There are golf carts that take you from one area to another as everything is pretty spread out. For example, from the main gate to the hotel is a little less than a mile. Only two free breakfast are included with Marriott status. So if you are traveling with kids, you have to pay $22 plus tip for their breakfast every morning. They have a few sand toys to share out on the beach. The large pool area does have Shallow parts for children. For adults The beach here is gorgeous though setback many yards from the hotel. The pool does not have an adult only area that I know of. There is a nice but small hot tub. You have access to all of the spa amenities every day as a guest here. There is a small gym next to the spa and a larger gym called the wellness center which is about Half a mile from the main area. Food issues The main issue here as many other of viewers have stated is the lack of decent food selection. Sea grapes is decent but only open until 5 PM. Paro gets terrible reviews and is excessively overpriced Mediterranean food. However, an Uber from the hotel to Rio Grande is not expensive around $10 and they are good restaurants, but you must do your own research. I recommend Los kioskos de luquillo Which have many food options and it is basically a beach party scene better for adult adults than kids. Service and butler service overall were spotty. We were given incorrect information multiple times. Don't forget to take a ton of cash to tip-wish they would include this in the final bill. Loved the ocean view, comfy beds, and spacious bathroom. Overall a nice stay and would consider coming back if the food options improved a bit!

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar hotel in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico for 5 nights in January…read more2026. We reserved and paid for an ocean view king room. Upon arrival, our room was facing a wall. To see the ocean we had to go on the terrace and crane our necks to the left hanging over the bannister. NOT an ocean view room. They really need to call these rooms partial ocean view. Then there would be no issue. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. It seems there was not ONE other available room in the entire hotel, but they did promise to move us the next day. We could not unpack. Made me crazy and uncomfortable. The next day we were promised a room between 11-2. And by 2pm we'd heard nothing so we went to meet the front desk manager at 2pm. She assured us the room was being prepared. It was!!! We finally had a beautiful king room facing the ocean and not over the kiddie pool. Krysia was wonderful and everything she said came to fruition. Can't thank her enough for her support. There were definite differences between the two supposed ocean view king rooms. The first room obviously faced a wall not the ocean. But it also lacked amenities that were present in the 2nd room such as really cool lights on the side of the bed that light up when you pass by. Great for the evening when going to the bathroom! There was a small (not real) plant in the bathroom. There were more towels present. There was a love seat sized couch not a chair. The sliding glass doors to the terrace were larger. It's possible the ceilings were higher too. Small measures but noticeable. The Tiki Hut near the beach and pool is great and we had lunch there everyday. We saw people enjoying the cabanas and the individual service they receive. The beach area is my spot. Always chairs and umbrellas available with staff to set you up. We have been to this hotel at least 6 times over the past years and have found the restaurants good and the service friendly. Housekeeping staff is accommodating too. Review just went from 4 stars to 3. Upon checking out they tried to charge us extra taxes. We pre paid the entire amount at time of reservation which included room and taxes and resort Fees. Why the up-charge at checkout ?

If you're traveling to Puerto Rico, BOOK KEITH AND HIS TEAM--NO QUESTION!…read more Keith and his team at Luquillo Beach Taxi were the reason our entire bachelorette trip was beyond spectacular. With a group of 10 girls, our biggest concern was finding reliable transportation, especially since Ubers are not easy to come by in Luquillo Beach. Thank goodness we met Keith on our first night--seriously, we all agreed he was sent from above! From the start, Keith went above and beyond to accommodate us. He was there for every single ride we needed, always on time, professional, and incredibly personable. But beyond that, he brought the energy, the laughs, the best music and the best vibes! He wasn't just a driver--he became a true friend to all of us. Keith made sure we felt safe, cared for, and stress-free the entire trip. He had the best recommendations, helped us plan our outings, and even surprised us with Puerto Rican souvenirs we'll cherish forever!! He even handled our chaotic airport departures--everyone had different flight times, one friend's flight was delayed until 4 AM, and Keith still showed up with a smile, ready to take her 30+ minutes back to our Airbnb. This man is a legend. If you want a seamless, fun, and truly blissful experience in PR, Keith is your guy. We love you, Keith--we'll be back!!!

This lets us spread out and not feel claustrophobic. Love this! -the grounds are beautiful, with lots of fountains everywhere and the coquis singing at night. Just lovely. We also enjoyed walking to the beach and seeing baby needlefish (just be careful as these things can jump and pierce soft tissues) -appreciate the welcome drinks -there was coffee and tea and a mini fridge; all appreciated -location was pretty good; it's a short drive to El Yunque and Luquillo Beach CON: -the shower was... not installed right. For some reason, the entire shower wall installation came right out when my aunt was taking out the handheld shower head. We called in as we did not want them to think we broke anything, plus, you know, we wanted to use it safely. To their credit, maintenance came quickly and fixed it. But a minor complaint was our nights were disrupted for about an hour for what was the hotel's fault and there was no compensatory apology. I would've appreciate some breakfast credit or waiving our parking fees. Alas. -they made a mistake with our parking and it was a bit annoying figuring out our in and out privilege. Had to spend about twenty minutes sorting that out. Overall, a pretty property that's a short drive to El Yunque and Luquillo. It was pleasant and convenient and I'd stay there again.

The rooms are scattered throughout the property in buildings that house approximately 16 rooms per building. They do have golf carts to drive you, but sometimes I waited 20 minutes and had to call the front desk multiple times to get someone to come. My first house keeper was very good, second was less good, sometimes forgetting to replenish washcloths. The biggest problem I had arose when it was time to leave. I ordered/paid for the shuttle through the tour desk ahead of time to get me to the airport, which I was told can take 4-5 hours to get through right now. The morning of leaving I called the front desk multiple times to try to have a bellman come to get my bags, as one of my bags was over 60 pounds and I was in the second floor with no elevator. I was also in the building the furthest from the lobby and my back was hurting from a long work week. No one ever answered the phone, even waiting over twenty minutes on hold!!!!! I carried my things down and to the lobby, then waited for my shuttle. I became nervous when no one was there. I asked and was told they'd be coming. Even after 7:30 cane and went, there was no shuttle. I asked the front desk multiple times, asked the parking attendants, and tried to ask the tour desk but both times I walked to it there was no one working there. At 7:45 I finally called for a cab because the phone number for the shuttle did not answer their phone. Thankfully I got lucky and there was a cab only ten minutes away. The shuttle finally called me back after multiple calls and said they made a mistake and they'd send someone over in twenty minutes. I couldn't wait, as the airplane wouldn't wait for me, so I took a cab. The shuttle was $35 and I asked for my money to be refunded, who knows if they will. The cab was $70 plus a $20 tip. With all of this plus the other issues I had with Hyatt, I would have to not recommend, especially for a convention.

Everywhere else had big rip tides, we'd almost given up getting in the sea! It has a silty bottom like an estuary but nice to float in about waist deep. So I loved my room because it was spacious and accommodating. I did not like that the only outlets to charge or phones was under the head board of the bed, so we had to pull the mattress to connect our phone chargers. With that being said, the resort is lacking on modern stuff. I wasn't a fan of the coffee machine because it didn't pour the right amount of coffee. TIP: pour one cup at a time and not two. Breakfast at cafe soleil was amazing! There were two days where the servers were "ok" and the rest of the days where our server were amazing! The food is amazing and they always have a different specialty everyday. I wish they served the crepes guava and cheese everyday lol. The pool is amazing! I loved it! The only thing that prevented this review from being a 5 star is the service at the bar. The bartender acknowledged me and told me to wait. A father and son came at the bar and she attended them completely disregarding me. I was waiting for her for 10 minutes as she finished making drinks for other customers. I just swam back and didn't order anything. They don't have servers to come by and ask if you want a drink. Also, it was ghetto that they used pandora to play music. You would think a resort would have their own station or at least pay for pandora so that the commercials didn't play. Parking is perfect. No complaints!
