I walked into his store with an old glass onion fixture, looking to replace it. He told me to save several hundred dollars it would cost for one of his new fixtures, led me into his workshop, and after some soldering, a few part replacements from his vintage inventory and some glass polishing, sent me home with my original fixture, shiny, updated and upgraded. These folks haven't forgotten what customer service means.i could have made a cup of coffee and stayed on the phone with them for another 1/2 hour to just shoot the breeze after the transaction was done. 3. They are generous people. I had the choice of driving an hour to go pick them up, or pay a crazy shipping price. The owner chopped the shipping fee in half, I didn't even have to ask him to do it. Not only was the staff incredibly helpful, they were accommodating and pleasant to work with. They allowed us to borrow a sample lantern to "try" on our home and welcomed custom alterations to the lantern we ultimately decided on. They had the custom alterations made within 24 hours. My electrician told me Sandwich Lantern is the place to go. He said there is really no place like it. I must admit I was a little suspect when I pulled up. It reminded me of a motel in an industrial park. When entering it felt like I was at a body shop. BUT once I took a left into the show room I was blown away! The lanterns were absolutely gorgeous! The immaculate craftsmanship popped right at you. It was around the time when Covid-19 was starting, very early on and I was very impressed they already had hand sanitizer out and used it as soon as we entered. You can see what pride the father and son team take in their work and I was so happy to support that. The extras they threw in and the discount they have went above and beyond. I was so impressed they through in a package of high efficiency bulbs and demoed just how little energy they used. I am so happy my electrician sent me.
