This is truly the best dental office I have ever been to in my life!!! I've worked as a dental assistant for years, so I'm picky about where I go for for cleanings and treatment. Dr. Brad Thweatt is not only kind, gentle and personable, but he's also very knowledgeable & honest about what dental treatments you need and don't need. He takes the time to get to know his patients and he listens to your concerns. Angie, the hygienist, also gave me the first pain free cleaning I've ever had! Jessica, their patient coordinator, was amazingly kind and helpful in getting me a last minute appointment! Wow, I'm blown away by this practice!! They have a patient for life. I really like this dental practice. My husband and I both go here, and have for a couple of years now- he sees Dr. White and I see Dr. Thweatt. We've both had very positive experiences both with the dental hygienists who do the teeth cleaning and with the dentists. They seem like a fair practice, not always pushing the most expensive treatment, but what you actually need. I've found Angie, my hygienist, to be thorough and pleasant. I also like that the dental chairs face large windows, and there are bird feeders outside. The office dog (who stays behind the desk), Marlin, is a nice touch too! read more

I just had a procedure I was dreading and had put off almost a year. They needed to clean up under my gum, and had to numb the gum to do so. Now the last time I had any numbing done was when I was in the navy, and you can imagine how pleasant that was. Picture white knuckling the arm rail on the chair as they seemingly push a needle into the depths of your gray matter. Anyway, the hygienist Jamie was incredibly friendly leading up to the procedure. She applied some surface numbing agent, then began to inject the novocaine. I kept wondering if she had begun, because I felt absolutely nothing. She did the entire portion of my gum, and the worst I felt was the tiniest of pinches as she came to the front of my mouth, as she warned me it was more sensitive there. The whole experience was fantastic, from the reception desk to the procedure. They spent 15 minutes with me at the front desk after the procedure, telling me just how much coverage my insurance provided, how much I'd have to pay, and addressed a few other questions. These two dentists are the best ever. I have seen both and have been going to them for years. They can be trusted for all your needs. They have filled cavities and given me a root canal. They made a denture for my husband. I have never had any problems. They have taken calls from me on the weekend concerning a family member who does not even go to them and gave me good advise. Sandston Comprehensive Dentistry provides excellent service. All of the employees are always happy and enthusiastic, and they go above and beyond to provide the best care possible. I made a call to their office in July 2014 with complaints of severe, agonizing "tooth" pain. I had never been seen there before, and they worked me in right away. Upon examination, Dr. White advised that he did not feel that the small cavity in my tooth should be causing so much pain. He made a phone call and got me in to see an endodontic specialist the same day. That doctor was able to agree that it was indeed not my tooth, and was trigeminal neuralgia. I very much appreciate Dr. White's honesty, as I have heard horror stories of unnecessary root canals in patients with trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. White and Thweatt make a great team, and you can't get any better than them! read more
