I have been going to Dr. Yeh for a few years now. I found her after I tried a few dermatologists that weren't cutting the mustard. I had a really exceptional doctor before but she moved to another state. Like most reviews say, Dr. Yeh is fast paced. I like her because she's knowledgeable and although she's fast paced, I have never felt rushed. She addresses your issue and then she asks you if you want her to look at anything else. She even checked my back. She does not accept new patients, only by family referral. That is how I got in because at the time when she was accepting new patients, I found her for my parents. Experience to me felt like it was more money driven than actually wanting my skin to be better. Per my visit: Doctor tends to over talk and doesn't allow me to address any other further questions I may have. Instead of asking what I eat, what is my skin care routine, and what she recommends me to do, she stated I should do chemical peeling once a month with her, which is 200 dollars. It ruined my skin barrier and I started to break out even more, it was the worse acne I ever had. She stated it was purging, but this left so many scars on my face, and previously my skin was alright. This is so unfair for long-term customers like me as I was forced to cancel by her front-desk as result of that. Dr. Yeh manages to charge for and recommend services and in-office treatments you don't need. She'll recommend things on the spot that are extremely expensive and do nothing to improve your skin. She and her office then charged the patient, insurance, or a combination of both. I was recommended very expensive treatments that led to worse complexion and more skin sagging than I started with. Years ago, perhaps when her practice was new and fresh, I trusted her and had a great experience. After over a decade of visits, even sporadically when we lived out of state, I will not recommend her. Dr. Yeh is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. She is a powerhouse of information and observations. She has made many unique remedies available as well as spot-on assessments of my skin conditions. I'm moving over to Stanford Healthcare to address my back. Surgery is required, and they are looking for a holistic approach to my healing (I assume). That requires most aspects of my health to be addressed by their physicians including their dermatologist. Dr Yeh is not competency. At the first visit, she checked my finger problem and then searching on line to see what it is and give a treatment. Asked me a follow-up in a week. For the 2nd visit, I wait her for a while, and she look at my finger without any solution and show me some pictures online, no idea. She said she is not this expert and give me two references to contact. Nothing to do. It took about 15-20 minutes. By the way, she charged me a lot, even the follow-up visit with nothing to do. It's very challenging making an appointment with this office; a point that was made several times here by different reviewers. Considered lucky when you get to go in after a month and a half after you called. The office won't call to confirm the appointment. Yeh likes to think aloud and talks like a machine gun. She will blast you with different treatments all at once. She will leave in the middle of the conversation and get you samples. When she comes back, she will oddly announce 'I have to go, so what do you want to do?' She has a tendency to forget, weakness to focus, and streamline her ideas. After trying everything I could, I was just about to accept my awful adult acne forever. Dr. Yeh changed all that. She took care of the painful cysts on my face. She performed a chemical pee and she prescribed me a combination of medications to take at home. In a few months, my skin improved like it never did before. Her years of experience gave her insight into how much to prescribe so that my dosage was minimal yet effective! Nothing worked for me until I started following Dr. Yeh's medical advice. I've been buying the same products for years with great success. She helped me save so much money. I highly recommend Dr. Yeh. The office staff members are polite and organized. If you need to make an appointment or handle insurance issues, they are so easy to work with. how is it that you can rely on a doctor who leaves early during the weekdays and have to book appointments months out in time? often times the treatment the user needs is reactive. eg, something happens to ones skin. its not something you can schedule on a defined cycle. i think part of this is also the front office staff. they dont seem to care or try to find times or care for the patient. i had someone at the front desk literally tell me that perhaps "I should go see another doctor." what kind of response is that? also the way dr. yeh operates is all about loading the funnel of patients and moving through super fast. you all book 20 min appts and rush folks out in 10 min... so why can't EXISTING patients ever get an appointment? either focus on quality patient care and make room for your patients. or just state you're a money making machine and refer folks to other docts. and fire youre entire front office staff. horrible w/ no bedside manner read more

Dr Yeh is great. For me, she removed some skin issues by either freezing or cutting them so I have a few scars but not bad. She identified skin cancer on me and sent me to a specialist. Currently she is only seeing Covid vaccinated patients or you have to get a negative test. So I stoped seeing her, since she is the only doctor of mine that requires this. I went to see Dr. Yeh for my acne because of the many great reviews I've seen on this page. I wonder whether the reviews from Yelp were tampered with as they don't seem genuine. From the first moment I met Dr. Yeh, she tried to sell the idea of the isotretinoin treatment with the type of rush that made it hard to believe it was for my best interest. I asked about other options but was told those would not be effective. (But then what made her so confident that isotretinoin would be so effective for long-term?) She applied some kind of chemical peel to my skin, but that was also the type of treatment that she said would not be effective, let alone just a one time application. She later charged my insurance for this application. Basically she just found a reason to put something on me so that she could charge for it even though knowing it wouldn't serve any purpose. Like another reviewer said, it's all about business and not about the patients. I hadn't planned to get a different opinion, but this experience made me seek a 2nd opinion with another dermatologist in a different facility and confirmed that my instinct was right. With the other doctor, I was explained very thoroughly the principles of how each treatment works and based on my personal need, what would be the best option. I saw Dr Yeh for a skin condition that I'd been complacently living with for years. I was a little skeptical when she took one look at my skin and immediately said "oh that's eczema". But it turns out she's had eczema herself and knows a lot about it. Dr Yeh prescribed me a steroid cream to use for a few days, and said that I should use CeraVe (available off the shelf in stores) once the skin started to clear up. Lo and behold, after I followed these instructions, my eczema improved dramatically. It took a couple months to clear up completely, but I am now eczema-free. It's very rare that I'll see a doctor once, be prescribed something, and then be completely healed. Usually I won't see complete healing, and the doctor will want me to come back for repeat visits, which costs me more money. But one visit to Dr Yeh was all I needed. I appreciated her experience and her being upfront and honest. Finally, when my insurance company later recomputed my out-of-pocket maximum, I was due a partial refund from several doctors. Some doctors' offices dragged their feet with this, but Dr Yeh's office was totally on top of it, being the first by far to issue me a refund. Like most reviewers, I did have to wait a few weeks to actually see Dr Yeh, but that can't be helped if she has a lot of patients. And maybe I'm the ideal case that responded well to medication, but my experience with Dr Yeh was thoroughly positive, and I'm glad about how things worked out. Update: Dr Yeh's office now only accepts new patients by referral from a physician or by a family member/friend. read more

The same woman, sans enthusiasm, informed me that the next opening for a new patient wasn't until over two weeks. I began to ask if she had any suggestions on what to do since I'm having a severe skin issue, but before I could get two words out, she affirmed that the appointment is all she had to offer and if I have a sever issue I should go somewhere else. This review is 10 years overdue! Dr. Yeh CURED my acne. I struggled with acne as a teen and young adult. I was patient and trusted her fully. We went through a couple different types of medications until we found the right one alone with topical creams and chemical peels my acne was finally gone. The chemical peels were rough as far as the peeling process goes, but honestly, it was all so worth it bc I have never struggled with breakouts since. The occasional pimple pops up once a year, but it's nothing. Dr. Yeh is super sweet, I'm a hurry usually, but she'll tackle the problem quick! read more

I saw Dr. Yeh a couple weeks ago for the first time. Overall, I really liked her and feel she gave really good advice and treatment. A couple things to note: 1. When I arrived (on time), I was told that the doctor was running about 15 minutes late. Turned out it was more like 30 minutes, which was not great as I had ducked out of work for the appointment. I realize this sort of thing happens, but it is still annoying, especially when it happens relatively early in the day (appt was at 10:30). 2. Dr. Yeh talks really fast and gives out a LOT of information. I was asking questions as I went, but once I left, I realized that I did not remember which medication was to be used when, and how often. Next time, I will take a pen and paper and take notes. I was able to call the next day and get the info, but be forewarned : lots of info coming really fast! I'm still only a couple weeks into the treatment that will likely go on for a few months, but so far, what she suggested and prescribed has worked great! Dr. Yeh is one of the best. I have very dry skin and am prone to exema at least 3 or 4 times a year. I have been following Dr. Yeh's instructions and been using the prescribed ointment for 8 years now. My exzema condition is under control. Dr. Yeh is also very friendly and professional in her overall approach to patients. My wife has also been to her for treatment and has high confidence in her work. She is cost conscious and always tries to put together a skin care regime that is effective yet won't break the bank. I have found over the years the best way to make the most of your appointments with Dr. Yeh is to come prepared with your skin concern(s) along with the products you are using. If only I can give negative Dr told me to do so many tests and then according to those reports she was going to give me medication. But after the reports I called like 4 times to book appointment and for medication but receptionist always told that there is nothing wrong in your reports so doctor can't give you another appointment. I've seen Sandra many times over the years. I was misdiagnosed from her once for herpes simplex 1 long time back when I had bubbling and peeling on my lips. She prescribed me herpes cream which did nothing. Soon after I got a 2nd opinion from another dermatologist and found out it was actually allergic reaction and definitely not herpes. Got subscribed some allergy gel and it was shortly cured. Recently I went in because I had an ingrown hair/pimple that healed red. She said it's a mole and helped me remove it. She says I had to pay for mandatory biopsy for skin cancer even though I didn't want it. I followed her healing instructions but 4 days later it was still pussing and hurting so I called in to check if that's normal. She said to come in so I did. She looked at it for a second and says that's normal and will take several weeks to heal. I was relieved and out of the office probably within a minute. However later realized was tagged with another $90+ bill for the visit. They never mentioned that it would be charged as a separate consultation when I called. I tried to fight for it but she would give me half off at most. It's extremely disappointing. I ended up paying for it but decided to go with another dermatologist from now on. read more

Honestly. I'm obsessed with Dr.Yeh. If you were allowed to make a dermatologist your primary care physician, I would make her mine. I've been seeing Dr.Yeh for YEARS now... with insurance, without insurance- doesn't matter. She's brilliant. ALWAYS willing to help. She totally normal, not just "normal for a doctor". AND she's super understanding of my vanity- Another reason I adore her. I mean really. I lament the appearance of fine lines and then occasional breakout- and Dr.Yeh fills my head with knowledge and my hands with samples. I've been living in Central America and despite the sunblock I've slathered on, I've become more tan and freckled than anyone should ever be.... and I keep thinking- when I book my plane ticket back to the States, I should ALSO book an appointment with Dr. Yeh.
