11 years later and I still see Dr. Parker. I actually don't even live in Orange County anymore but I come from San Diego because it's so hard to find a good dentist and she is so wonderful. She is efficient, thorough, and always considers cost. Even though I am no longer a student she still plans all my dental work based on my insurance maximums because "why spend more if I don't have to." Never recommends unnecessary things. I just love that she is so cost conscious and wants to do what is best for her patients. I almost never have issues with any of her work but if I do she gets me in quickly to reassess and get it fixed. I cannot recommend her more highly - both my husband and myself drive up from San Diego to see her instead of finding a new dentist - she is just that wonderful! read more

I waited 2 years to write this review. Please please please get a second opinion if you end up getting an examination with this dentist. I get my teeth checked every year. For +8 years prior to coming here, all the dentists i've visited have told me that I have great teeth. No cavities, no issues. When I came here, the dentist told me that I had 10 cavities and gum disease?... I was so shocked, I didn't even think to question it. I let them know that my insurance was ending soon, so they decided to do all 10 fillings within 2 sessions the same week. This left me with severe TMJ (which i've never had before), from doing too much too fast. When I went back to see if they could help, they gaslit me and said that "you cannot get TMJ from filling"... you definitely can if they adjust 10 teeth in the span of a week and wreck your bite. I was too afraid to go to another dentist to get help because I was traumatized by this experience. Throughout a year after this treatment, I was in constant excruciating pain around my teeth, jaws, strain in my neck, and I couldn't speak properly because my tongue was swelling from the inflammation around my jaws/neck. My lower jaw began to slide forward into an underbite because there was no support in my back teeth (the fillings were shaved down so low that my top and bottom molars didn't touch, which left all the pressure on my front teeth). My teeth gradually began to shift/move/crowd in the front because of my bite being off. Someone eventually recommended a trusted dentist to me, and he worked with me to re-do the fillings and to fix and balance my bite. The new dentist reluctantly admitted that the previous filling job was bad, and that the previous dentist left filling hanging over the side of my teeth which could cause major issues in the future. Fast forward to now, my teeth still do not feel the same, and my teeth have permanently shifted, but my jaws are no longer in constant pain after working with the new dentist for the past year with multiple adjustment appointments. TLDR: Go for a second opinion somewhere else. They either don't care for patient care/dental health and are very very aggressive in their treatment recommendations, or they are scammy and prescribe treatments for problems you don't even have. You only get one set of teeth in this life. You want to work with someone conservative in their approach to treatment; someone who wants to preserve the integrity of your natural teeth as much as they can. Look at the other low rated reviews. You'll see that others have had similar experiences with this dentist over-prescribing treatments for problems that other dentists do not see when seeking a second opinion. read more

Almost making it seem like I shouldn't be complaining.. The craziest part is I'm still getting calls and text to schedule my cleaning . As long as they're making money I guess they'll call. I also will try give as much detail in my reviews as I think will be helpful to those that read them. I have sadly probably produced more negative reviews than positive ones but I think every employee or business owner should know that every one of their customers could send a review so it's best to be nice to all people. Sandra Parker and her staff do good work (the most important thing) and also provide a courteous and comforting environment to their patients. Most people are fearful of dentists and doctors (as I often am) but the staff will put you at ease. The quality of care for the patients is impeccable and not in a good way. The surgeon had no patients for me I was so afraid to get my tooth taken out and he just said we're done and didn't do the procedure I HATE him he's a jerk and has no patience for his patients you can clearly see his motives and drive for his career and trust me he doesn't care for his patients. Dr. Parker is a dentist I trust to tell me the honest truth about work that needs to be done. She's not too conservative on waiting and watching things, and she's not too quick to schedule work be done. As a denti-cal recipient, I'm often met with dentists who do not want to do the work needed because the program pays Pennie's on the dollar, compared to other insurance companies- I don't feel this way here. I've been waiting six months to write this review. Stay far, FAR away from this place. About six months ago, I came here for a regular cleaning. The dental hygienist did a great job of cleaning my teeth. It was very easy and seamless. She said I had beautiful teeth and when she was done, she walked me over to the dentist's office. This is where things took a turn. Without even taking a look at my teeth, the dentist tells me I have several cavities. When I questioned her on this, she brought it down to only one that really needed to be filled. How did we go from several cavities to only one? Why didn't the hygienist tell me as she cleaned my teeth? I continued to question her. I asked her how could this be possible when I floss daily and brush twice a day. She said it's possible it is a cavity that formed during my teenage years. I asked her how all my previous dentists would have overlooked this cavity for TEN YEARS?!? She had no answer. I walked out and never looked back. I went to El Camino Dental today for another cleaning as about six months have passed since this horrible experience. Within seconds the doctor tells me my teeth are beautiful and I have no cavities. I am so glad I got a second opinion. Otherwise, I would have paid for fillings I never even needed. read more

Overall, for a dentist, I can't complain! They do offer "aesthetic" work, HOWEVER Dr. Parker will tell you what work is and is not necessary. Much of it being work I was told was "absolutely required" by other dentists to be willing to see me. Only to find out it's really for the sake of aesthetics, not health. When a prior employee of theirs messed up my retainer order, Dr parker was wonderful at resolving the issue! She offered me to pay the difference and keep both retainers, which I did. I also adore the oral surgeon they bring in. He did my wisdom teeth without anesthesia at my own request (another thing other dentists wouldn't allow. I believe due to financial losses.) He was relaxed and spoke to me about what he was doing the whole time. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. I wish I was able to thank him but my mouth was pretty numb lol. read more

This dentist Sandra Parker, was waste my time, she delay my surgery that was already approved by a dentist and a oral surgeon to go forward with surgery. First, she's listed that she accepts Medi-Cal dental plan. I made an appointment and live over 100 miles from this office. I took in two sets of dentures, and she insisted that I needed to come back and have my teeth cleaned when all my teeth are going to be removed ???? then she submitted the service Medi-Cal that I needed a partial dental replacement when I have two sets of dentures and I have seen a dentist and an oral surgeon. I traveled to Dr. Sandra Parker's office because once a month, she has an oral surgeon that comes into her office with IV sedation to do surgery. What this dentist try to do was try to charge me $10,000 for a new set of dentures when I have two brand new sets and charge me an additional $600 for IV sedation when it's covered through Medi-Cal, what a waste of my time and why would I need to get my teeth clean when they're all going to be removed? BEWARE!!!!! I received a letter from Medi-Cal refusing whatever she submitted to them when I've been approved over a year ago this. This definitely a dentist that will take advantage knowing I'm on Medical and asking for $10,600 . I'm going to report her to the dental association. And I am so upset that she wasted my time when my surgery that should have been scheduled. read more

Got squeezed in today to hv Dr Parker fix a chipped tooth and the boys retainer. We were taken back quickly and things were all done. We learned that Dr Parker is doing a new thing: fast braces! What??? 8-12 months!!! This place always has the newest, most cutting edge devices! Also, my husband had had some dental work done elsewhere due to insurance. Every single thing at that place went wrong, again and again, resulting in major pain and suffering for Dave! I urged him to go to Dr Parker and that she would fix it. The new laser treatment they offer now is Great! My five year old is always scared of dentist visits but this last visit was by far the easiest and fastest we've ever had .. there was no need of anesthesia or the usual buzzing sounds that she's scared of so everything went so smooth. I'm so glad dentist Sandra added the laser treatment, because it made my daughters dentist very easy. I love how she's so attentive and always very sweet as well as all the girls there! Sadly seems to be all about money here. I went for a consultation and she tried to sell me on dental work she even admitted herself was unnecessary. There's literally a sales rep that works the front desk.. so I'm not sure what they want their patients to think. She at least seems like a sales rep, definitely not your typical receptionist. After the consultation she not only tried to get me to make TWO follow up appointments, but wanted the person with me to as well.. the xrays are done in one room, and the exam in another. When the assistant was showing me from one room to another, she was going SO fast and rushing me all over the office.. I felt like they just wanted me in and out. Maybe their focus is efficiency which is great, but I don't like feeling as if my health is being monetized. :( read more

The quality of dental work is amazing and the fact they are so attentive and find all your cavities makes me feel like the health of my teeth and gums is so much better now. The dental hygienist are great and they really do a quality deep cleaning that is reasonably priced if your insurance doesn't cover. The front office staff have personality and a sense of humor. I disliked going to the dentist.....and then I found this practice! I've recently been switching from dentist to dentist as a lot of them either are very understaffed or only do limited dental work before wanting to refer you to a specialist. NOT HERE! Setting an appointment is easy and you get texted reminders before each appointment, which is good for me since I tend to be forgetful and disorganized! Each and every member of the staff is very courteous and professional. They do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and at ease as going to the dentist is never "fun" so to speak. Dr.. Parker is super nice and very thorough with her work. If you need any procedures done, she is very good with explaining all the details and costs beforehand. I'm currently having extensive work done on my teeth and each visit has been surprisingly pleasant to say the least. They work fantastic as a team to take care of you as fast and painless as they possibly can but then again, I do have a high tolerance for pain . Anyway, I'm extremely happy to have Dr. Parker as my dentist and will hopefully continue to see her and her wonderful staff for good. read more
