She showed me the thermostat to stay at 66 degrees and gave me "the look" about changing it. The reason she gave is so that the rest of the guests in that building did not get hot. For the few nights I was there, not one other guest stayed in that building, and just a few in the main building. (and this was high season). One couple was there the first day and I imagined they looked a little scared too. I love B and B's with their little quirks and oddities. I make them a habit and I work with little things that are not perfect, which they seldom are in old buildings. However, normally the hosts are always warm and friendly and help you work with whatever it is. In this instance I was afraid to ask for any help at all - just kept a low profile. I would not recommend this one if you're looking for anything that feels welcoming. p.s. they have two large dogs that rush the fence barking whenever you walk to your car.

My companion got the shrimp scramble, and we ended up asking if it was normal for the shrimp to be slightly translucent, which it apparently is for rock shrimp! Both entrees were excellent. I also got a bloody Mary which was amazing. Overall I have no notes for this place. Service? Great. Vibes? Great. Food? Great. As far as parking goes, we parked in the main garage by the visitor's center and walked the whole day. This place must have been about a 10 min walk from the garage.
