    Golf Course

We had a big group and they were able to accommodate us and made some suggestions. We ended up playing a scramble and we all had a blast. The course was fun and being close to the coast, the weather was cooler. Special thanks to Nik Ory to go above and beyond to help us out. Looking forward to do it again.

The golf course customer service was great, and the people were friendly. But the course wasn't in the greatest shape. It was worth the experience to play near the ocean, and the layout of the course is great, but not worth the amount of money in green fees to play.

This was my first visit to Florence Golf Links, and it was absolutely phenomenal! The staff, from pro shop to snack shack to cart staff to grounds keepers - 10 out of 10 - incredibly welcoming, genuinely cared about your happiness and obviously take tremendous pride in their work! Seriously, every course needs this level of effort from their employees. During these trying COVID times, the crew has stepped up. The course was in terrific condition, and their grounds keeper staff is currently less than 5 people! Cannot imagine how much work is required - but they've done it and done it to top level! The CARTs all looked brand new, they were that clean, and operated great! The snack shack employee, she was so nice and a great engagement with customers before entering the pro shop - as was the employee who was handling the CARTs (I couldn't place his accent, but he was incredibly welcoming and clearly worked hard to have his product in top form - he was also hilarious). The employee in the pro shop was very helpful with suggestions regarding the course, as it was my first visit. Provided information of facility location, things to look for on the course and a few tips that proved helpful in navigating the track. I cannot wait to come back for a second round here, didn't really want to leave after my first round. If I would have started earlier - would definitely have done a re-round. 10/10, 5 stars, great job everyone!

Maybe Erika O should walk and save 15 bucks. Also, there are over 36,366 outhouses on the course.

We spent 5 days enjoying the many activities Bandon Dunes has to offer…read more We started on the Bandon Dunes course. It was beautiful and a great way to get a feel for what's to come. With some holes near the ocean and some inland, it provided a links style course. Lots of sand, open fairways. The next day we did Bandon Trails. This was more inland. Only the first hole had views of the ocean. The course was tighter than the others so accuracy was good. It was the hilliest and toughest to walk. I took a day off but husband golfed Sheep Ranch. We walked the first hole later that night (after the golfers were done) so I could see it. It was much flatter and more open than any of the other courses. You can see the ocean on every hole on Sheep Ranch. Whales were blowing water nearby. Very pretty. Next day was Pacific Dunes. This one was my favorite. It had lots of ocean views. With more par 3s, it was a par 71. The holes were beautiful. Our final course was Bandon Preserve which was a par 3, 13 hole course. What a great way to practice in real time on your short game. Again, stunning views. Forward tees were all about 5000 yds which was a good distance. I played some of my best golf and was able to reach many greens in regulation so I was very happy with the distance and layout. Green were in great shape. We took advantage of the practice facility before rounds. The pulled pork sandwich near the range was a delicious lunch. We also played the Punch Bowl several times. It was a great way to end the day with a cocktail and a casual experience of golf. We ate at all the major restaurants and they were excellent. Rodney was my caddie and he rocked! He knew the course well and was a huge asset to my game and experience. Everyone we encountered was professional, helpful, welcoming. I can't wait to come back. We had so much fun!

Anytime I…read moreget the chance, I pop in sometimes for a drive, sometimes for a walk, and occasionally even a round of golf. This week alone, I drove in twice with my beloved Maggie . Both times we were greeted by a friendly young woman at the guard post who smiled and waved, which honestly set the tone for the whole visit. After a lovely walk and lunch at the amazing Ghost Tree Grill, we stopped on our way out to chat with her. I've never really seen anyone stationed there before, so curiosity got the best of me. I asked her all kinds of random questions about the trees we'd seen, the nature around the area, and whether she'd eaten at any of the restaurants. She was genuinely happy to answer everything I threw at her. Her name was Azer. Having someone at that post who's warm, welcoming, and willing to answer even the silliest questions really matters it makes the whole experience feel more personal. Hopefully we'll see her again next time. Good job, Bandon. Thank you.

The RV park was 1/2 to 2/3rds full. Unfortunately we were given the spot that was closest to the road. It was loud with little grass, and stuff falling outta the tree onto our car. Again, there were a lot of other spots that were empty. I would have complained but we didn't bring the dogs on this trip. I would not have wanted to take the chance of one of the dogs running out into the road or getting tangled up in the brush. Now on to the golf course. We paid for unlimited golf ..... the guy Steve at the counter laughed when I suggested to walk onto the golf course. We had to make a tee-time a couple hours away. So we went back to our motor home and waited. We went to the first hole and met up with the other pair we were playing with. Then another guy who was walking the course and a single player had the same start time (double booked) offered to let him go first so we didn't feel pushed. He declined ( I knew better ) should have made him. By hole 3 he was calling and complaining to Steve! That we were taking to long. Steve showed up on his mighty Steed (golf cart) and complained that we were taking to long and needed to speed up and skip two holes .... I was so pi$$ed off my wife and I left. You paired us up with slow players ..... get over yourself Steve, dude you're not a PRO. Whew, let me calm down so I can finish my story. We went back that evening at 6pm. I told my story to a very nice guy named Mark. Let's give Mark a hand. He's the only reason my wife and I stayed and played. Mark, these three stars are yours. As you can tell, I would not have given Steve even one star. Thank you for a wonderful evening of golf.
