I'm back for an updated review. The last time here was during Christmas. I can say the staff initially upon check in were not pleasant at all. It was a very cold do it yourself or figure it out yourself check in with Shannon. Next, we went to our room and we thoroughly check everything especially the beds and we located hair. This has been my thought and suggestion: since hair sheds I don't see the issue with the cleaning staff wearing hair nets. We do this with food right! Anywho, once we brought this to the attention of management they quickly changed the tone and saw for themselves this was an issue in the alternate room they gave. The manager apologized and made things right so we were able to enjoy our stay in a clean room and we continued to utilize the beautiful property like the first time. Derik, the cafe barista is always friendly like last time and knowledgeable about making sure your coffee is on point. I have yet to visit the Tavern, but next time I will. It started off rocky, but the trip was salvaged and we had a restful time.

The Sandman Signature in Las Colinas is Officially one of my favorite hotels to stay in! This was my third time staying there, so this review is long overdue! There are only a few in the USA & ONLY in the DFW area though they're originally based out of Canada. I can first appreciate the customer service. They all were very personable and kind! I typically say customer service is the first thing you experience before the actual "product". The hotel itself is very modern and very clean. You can note that Sandman Signature is "affordable luxury". They upgraded our room to a suite, based off kindness and them having availability. We are also rewards members (rewards pile up quick!). They have a small coffee shop where you can order a quick bite! I'm not a coffee drinker, but I opted for the coffee this time around, which was good IMO, however coffee drinkers you be the judge of that! Anyway let me get to the room! Our room was very fresh, clean and pristine! The King Bed felt like you were sleeping on clouds and pillow felt the same ! The room came with an apartment sized refrigerator, electric mini griddle, sink and microwave. The bathroom was modern that came with a vanity mirror and tub/shower combo. I got to talk about those Complimentary out the shower robes though! Them thangs felt like feathers on ya skin! This hotel has you feeling like luxury but it also for sure luxury if you ask me !

Highly recommend the Sandman hotel in Las Colinas. The service at Cafe 1967 (Valeria) was excellent! I will be back!

It also has a little known coffee shop called Over The Counter that is a nice hole-in-the-wall that is a perfect place to grab a nice cup of coffee and view of Lake Caroyln. This review is for Over The Counter. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Coffee, Return) Atmosphere - You'll find Over The Counter to the right of the check-in desk within the Omni Hotel. This coffee shop is a hidden gem because of the amazing views of Lake Carolyn and the Omni Hotel pool. This is a great spot if you're looking for a place to work while waiting for your Uber to head to the airport. The seats against the window have power outlets to charge your devices. It's quiet, not to busy, and even if you're not staying at the Omni Hotel a great place to grab a cup of coffee. Service - The Omni Hotel staff is very nice. Like most coffee shops, you'll place your order, customize it, and a barista will expertly craft your cup of coffee. On my visit, they asked what kind of milk I wanted (2%), and when I needed help with the Wi-Fi, they were super helpful in getting me online. 1 Star. Coffee - The coffee is nice and strong. My iced latte was smooth and had me buzzing. I had to sip it to ensure I prep for my meeting. I can't stress how awesome it is to enjoy a dup of coffee in a nice setting with an amazing view. My only minor feedback is that Over The Counter is in a the Omni Hotel, so expect to pay a little extra. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Now that I've discovered Over the Counter, I can imagine myself coming here on occasion to do work or conduct professional meetings. If you're staying at the Omni Hotel in Las Colinas, you should stop by. 1 Star.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Irving Las Colinas offered exactly that: a soft landing when we needed it most. Traveling as a group: my mother, my husband, our 12-year-old son, and myself can make spontaneity tricky. But the ease of securing a suite that could accommodate all of us felt like a small victory in the midst of an otherwise hectic day. From the moment we arrived, the tone shifted. The front desk agent greeted us with a warmth that felt genuine rather than scripted, and what could have been a routine check-in became something more thoughtful. One particularly welcome feature: the ability to choose our room. With her guidance, we landed on a space that felt tailored to our needs rather than assigned at random. The property itself struck a careful balance between polished and inviting. It was clean, well-maintained, and subtly festive an Easter-themed backdrop in the lobby offered families a chance to pause and capture the moment, a detail that felt both intentional and charming. Our suite delivered on every front. Spacious without feeling excessive, it featured a king bed alongside a pullout sofa perfect for our son plus a small kitchenette and dining table that quickly became his gaming station for the evening. It's these small, functional touches that make a short stay feel seamless. Later, I made my way downstairs for the evening reception. The bartender, navigating a steady crowd with admirable efficiency, kept things moving despite the rush. While the drink selection was modest, the atmosphere carried a convivial energy that made up for it guests unwinding, conversations flowing, the quiet hum of shared travel stories. I also found a pocket of calm in the lobby, where I was able to catch up on work another reminder that this is a hotel designed with real-life travelers in mind. We didn't have time to explore every amenity, but the overall impression was clear: refreshed, thoughtfully updated, and quietly dependable. In the end, it was exactly what we needed a comfortable, well-timed stay that turned a stressful detour into something unexpectedly pleasant.

Many other choices for breakfast like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, waffles etc. There is a bar close to the lobby and a restaurant. Staff would walk by and greet her all the time. We felt right at home here. It was only her second time ever staying in a hotel and the first time was not a good experience. She relaxed instantly here. And when be front desk supervisor, Alexander, found out that my flight wasn't until later in the day. What I did not know was that the Illustrious Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated -- the ABSOLUTELY BEST sorority ever -- were also having ceremonies that night. Beautiful for them, chaotic for me. I pulled up expecting valet, only to be told valet was reserved exclusively for the AKAs that evening. Now listen... I respect it. If anybody's going to get special treatment, it's the ladies in pink and green. But for me? Whew. That meant I started driving... and driving... and driving. Forty minutes, y'all. FORTY. Between the restaurants, the event, and the already limited parking, it was a full scavenger hunt with no treasure. I finally tried the parking deck -- only to discover it ends abruptly at the top with no turnaround space. No warning signs, no heads-up, nothing. And because it's Girl Scout cookie season, I'm in our extended Escalade. Picture me at the top of this deck, realizing I have to reverse all the way back down. I could've cried. Actually, I did cry. My daughter is in the back asking if she's still going to the party, and I'm trying to be brave while my anxiety is sky-high. I went back to valet, desperate, and they basically said, "It's just a bad night for parking." At this point, I'm ready to cancel everything and go home. I called the front desk and spoke with a woman named Miccah (I hope I'm spelling that right). She was so calm and reassuring. She told me there were 12 underground parking spaces available, so I felt a little better. I drove down there... and there were only two spots left -- both for electric vehicles. And the elevator? Not working. Now I'm underground, no reception, no parking, no elevator, and a 9‑year‑old with me. I drove back up and called Miccah again like, "Girl, just cancel this. I can't do this. I've been circling this place for 40 minutes." And then -- the turning point. She said, "My manager is walking outside right now. He's going to move his car so you can have his parking space." When I tell you Alexander came outside and did EXACTLY that... that man was a blessing. He moved his own car so I could park safely and get my daughter to her sleepover. That is customer service times 1,000. When I checked in, I told him I felt like I was about to pass out. He said, "Ms. Page, don't pass out, don't pass out -- do you need a Coke?" And he actually brought me one. The kindness, the attentiveness, the humanity -- it meant everything after the ordeal I'd just been through. Because of Miccah and Alexander, what started as a nightmare turned into a stay I will never forget. Hilton, keep them. Celebrate them. Promote them. They are the reason I didn't break down in that parking lot. But Hilton... please fix that parking situation. It was truly ridiculous. And to the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated -- the absolutely BEST sorority ever -- congratulations on your ceremonies. Y'all looked beautiful, and I love that the hotel rolled out the pink-and-green carpet for you. I just wish the parking deck had rolled out a little grace for the rest of us too. Thank you to Miccah and Alexander for rescuing my night and making my daughter's first sleepover a success.

You can tell this location used to be something else before. Google is showing it used to be a Hampton Inn. They definitely did a great job making this property look like other Home2Suites with the modern decor. We stayed in a queen suite. It was very clean. The counter space is not too big in the bathroom, but we made do. It was pretty cool to have a curtain between the sofa bed and queen bed. Good idea to get privacy. The complimentary breakfast is similar to other Home2Suites. You pick out a package you want to eat and place it into the microwave. Press the number it has in front and enjoy when done. One morning they had egg, sausage and cheese on a bagel. Another day they had sriracha, egg, cheese, veggies with potatoes. One morning they did have roasted potatoes and hash browns that were in the warmer. This must not be a daily thing to have hot food. I bet it's so much easier for the hotel to have guests warm up their own selections instead of having a warm breakfast. There is only one waffle maker. So if it's the weekend you may have to wait your turn. We enjoyed the multigrain waffle mix with buckwheat. Yum! They do have the usual yogurt, oatmeal, fruits and bread. We enjoyed our stay.
