I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days on a business trip to Dallas. It is right next to the DFW airport, so it is easily accessible, and there is also a Starbucks within walking distance, so it is very convenient. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great. I stayed in a 1 king bedroom, and the room was spacious and very clean. The bedding was clean and comfortable, so I slept well. This hotel has a LOT going for it. Location: it is very close to the car rental center. In fact the hotel shuttle can pick you up or drop you off there. But if the weather is good it is an easy 5-8 minute walk, if that's an option for you. When returning my car I checked in and dropped off my bags off and drove the rental car over. The hotel shuttle was going to pick me up, but they were delayed at the airport so I just walked back. There is a Starbucks across the parking lot and a gas station across the street. Makes it easy to fill up before returning your car. It took about 15 minutes for the shuttle to take me to terminal B in the morning. Rooms: Nice, roomy King rooms with very comfortable beds. Super clean, too. There is very good soundproofing between the rooms. I heard nothing from my neighbors. However, I do wish there was better soundproofing in the windows as there is quite a bit of road noise from the busy road that goes to the airport. If you're sensitive to noise, like I am, bring earplugs. Food and bar: there's a little bar in the lobby that serves good drinks and food. Nothing fancy, but very convenient, especially if you don't want to have to drive to a restaurant. The breakfast buffet is one of the better ones I've had. Lots of choices that change through the week. Also, if you have an early flight they have a continental breakfast that starts at 3am. Service: this is where the hotel really shines. The service is exceptional! I found all staff the be friendly and helpful. In particular Helen and Benny were wonderful and went above and beyond to make my stay a great one. Hats off to them! Great hotel - Horrible shuttle service late evening from DFW - unclear how to prevent from happening in future. No managerial staff on at night to do service recovery or take action for issues. On 5.22 we went to wrong gait sign to wait; shuttle driver circled to gait twice in 5-10 min. Hotel staff Lin helped us w correct gait and we got there in w/in 5 min for pick up. Night driver did not pick up for an additional 45 min. Seemed like punishment for going to wrong gait- driver kept saying she had gone there twice. Hotel staff said there were multiple calls happening from other passengers waiting for pick up and relayed to us that driver said traffic back ups and many pick ups (DFW 1 AM). Zero others in shuttle w/us, DFW zero traffic or back ups noted. Another passenger behind us at hotel check in (120AM) had similar experience and finally got an Uber. There are reviews citing shuttle issues. Pattern? Morning shuttle guy was amazing and professional - totally made up for night driver. There is a clear issue with night driver and hotel mgt isn't dealing w it. Only one night desk person. She was professional and kind but had no authority to do anything about what had happened. Our opinion, Donna is burned out needs a different job. Excruciatingly clear difference between night and day drivers. . If you don't need night shuttle I'd say you are good to go. read more

TLDR: Convenient DFW is HUGE. With so many cities and sub-cities, it's hard to find one place you can really call central. I'd like to think Hyatt Place near the airport fits the bill. We stayed on the 6th floor (highest floor) near the elevator. Have to say, if you are looking for a quiet place the 6th floor is it. Even near the elevator, you couldn't hear much noise. Though it was a $10 upgrade, it was honestly worth it. NOTE: It is near the airport, if you don't consider airplanes a white noise, this may bother you, just a tad. read more

The hotel itself is fine. Spacious rooms at an acceptable price. However, they are very misleading with the marketing of this location. Their catchphrase is "Stay, park, fly". Their property listing on Hotels.com lists FREE PARKING as the number one feature of the hotel, as well as FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE. We checked in prior to a flight for a 4 day trip, and let the front desk know our car would be there for 4 days, ready to provide information about the vehicle, plate number, etc. When we notified the front desk, the staff member not only notified us that we would be charged $20 per night for parking, but even after we showed them the hotel listing info that did not disclose this fee, she was actually rather confrontational with an attitude of 'pay it, or go somewhere else'. The parking while away was literally the ONLY reason we even got a hotel room near the airport. Many other hotels near DFW provide free shuttle services and do not charge a parking fee. We found parking elsewhere, but definitely not a good way to start our trip. read more

Check in was great. They set up our airport shuttle for our return flight day 1 so we didn't have to be worried or bothered later. Room was clean and comfortable. Second night ordered food and it did the trick. Not the most amazing but, honestly, for the price it REALLY hit the spot just fine. Only suggestion is serving warm marinara with mozzarella sticks rather than cold packaged but maybe that's a lingering Covid protocol...icing on the cake was our shuttle driver Keith at 5 am this morning who reassured us that if the rain and lightening we were seeing this morning on the ride persisted and our flight was delayed that he was a call away and would take us back to our hotel to be given access to a room again to rest and wait. What sweet relief after a horrible flight fiasco. These folks restored my faith in humanity while I was at my worst. I'm not exaggerating. Manny kindly picked me up from the terminal late in the night and saved my sanity. Check in was super smooth and I was able to finagle a beer after hours. It was needed. The room was super clean and spacious. Water pressure could have been better and I would've liked black out curtains. But, the bed was super comfy and the room was quiet. We arrived at 10:30pm after a hard flight and airport experience, but were greeted by such a sweet front desk woman that we soon forgot our troubles. She seemed to genuinely care about us and our stay. And it wasn't just her. Every employee we interacted with, including the restaurant servers, were SO nice and friendly. And in the morning, we got the brightest HELLO by a gentleman working the front desk. I was almost sad to check out after only one night. Fantastic Stay! I highly recommend The Hyatt Place! It's located within minutes to the rental car center, and 10 minutes to DFW airport. Close to dining, restaurants, stores such as Walmart, and more. They give you the convenience of allowing you to check-in online, and you receive an email when your room is ready. When I arrived to the hotel to collect my key Anthea assisted me. She was fantastic, and very pleasant. I was completely shocked when she walked around the counter and stood directly in front of me, handed me my key and told me about the amenities, breakfast, and asked me if I had any questions, then she thanked me for my stay and shook my hand. I travel a lot and this was absolutely the best service I've ever received anywhere. Thanks so much for the premier, welcoming Anthea! The room was fantastic too... it was extremely clean, spacious, smelled amazing, and the bed was so comfortable (wish I could take it home). The pillows were feather I think and were so fluffy and comfy as well! Breakfast was just ok, and nothing special. Day one there were pancakes, bacon, eggs, and the typical Continental breakfast. Day two all I saw were eggs, sausages and the Continental items. The pan with the pancakes/waffles was empty. My only suggestion is for the breakfast staff to keep all of the food items replenished. I forgot my toothbrush at home and the staff provided me with a courtesy toothbrush and toothpaste (what a lifesaver). Overall, this was an awesome stay. I highly recommend the Hyatt Place if you ever find yourself in the Dallas and surrounding area. Oh, I drove to Frisco, Plano, and Little Elm while I was here and they all were fairly close to the hotel as well. Within a 35 minute drive depending on the route you choose. If your needing a hotel close to the airport that provides a shuttle or just merely needing a place close to drop off your rental car then this definitely is that hotel! Very clean and basically has everything a simple traveler would need. If you can try and get the 6th floor, no matter which way you face you get views of the planes flying overhead. The only things that were somewhat of a let down would be the free breakfast was meh, same things every morning and things were barely warm in the pots and skillets. Lastly this has nothing to do with the hotel but there is a dart bus stop out in front of the hotel and unfortunately on my last night I saw a woman who was waiting on the bus peeing and taking a crap on the concrete right outside my window! I was quite shocked when I looked out my window and saw that but then again should I be surprised?? read more

Horrible the way they treat People From Philadelphia!We flew in here from Philadelphia for the Eagles vs Cowboys game and we flew our 70 year old Uncle and Aunt up from Florida and it has been Horrible from the Start! We called the hotel as soon as we got off our flight and asked the best way to get there. They said shuttle and asked Nancy if she was sure we just got off of a 4 hour flight and it was cold and raining and she said yes... I would have been happy to get an Uber. No, no she said it will be right there. I think it was almost 40 minutes (maybe 36)! We called in 3 additional times, each time she said "sorry, he is on his way" or "?? He should have been there). ** We didn't complain, it is what it is. We were happy looking forward to the game tomorrow. Fast forward, we were having a late lunch and almost 2 hours before the Movie we decided to go to a movie and the Hotel Desk Woman said that the Shuttle could bring us and I asked "are you sure" because of our earlier experience with the Shuttle... she assured me that Yes, there would be no issue. I should have known better! We came out to find the shuttle but... not for us! Even though we reserved it before anyone else did, they felt we didn't matter enough that it was ok to give it away to someone else. Even though we had 2 senior citizens plus we were trying to catch a movie. What is frustrating is that we could have booked a damn Uber but was told NOT to!! *** I though when when one of the Hyatt employees said "Oh you are an Eagles fan" they were just kidding. Apparently Not! Nancy was the first person that screwed things up. And Alisha was the Manager on tonight. And ONLY after I got very upset did they try to fix it by then it was too late! I cannot say enough about how amazing this hotel is!! I missed my connecting flight and could not get a flight for another day. So, I found this hotel and decided to try for a room. Didn't think I would be able to reserve a room last minute due to the hurricane and the amount of displaced people. However, I was able to get a room! The hotel staff is incredibly accommodating and welcoming. It began on the phone when I was making my reservation, unsure about some details they needed. Luckily they told me not to worry, that I could figure it out when I arrived. Then, my shuttle driver was also amazing! He deserves special recognition! He made me feel so welcomed. He gave me a little talking tour as we made our way to the hotel-pointing out restaurants and their hours, and informing me about the morning breakfast, shuttle service, and wifi password of the hotel. He offered the perfect amount of important and helpful information, without talking my ear off :) Arriving and checking into the hotel was a breeze. A few minutes later and I was all set with my room key and offered any items I may have forgotten such as toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. The hotel operates with the same staff working front desk, restaurant area, and bar. They get to know you so well and are so friendly. They want you to feel like you are "home" when staying with them. I felt so comfortable here and recommend this hotel to anyone searching for a hotel in the Dallas area. Only drawback? No nightlife/shopping nearby. Pro to that? It's right next to the airport for easy departures and arrivals! They do have a Shell station/Wattaburger and Einstein in walking distance though! Also, great last minute price! $130 for two Queen beds. Brand new rooms and incredible clean! Loved my room! I'm super picky about rooms and this one was fabulous! No safes in the room though. Nice friendly desk and service staff. Fairly new clean property. However, there are Uber and Lyft drivers parked all over in their parking lot and nearby. We got a nasty door ding that was likely from one of these folks. They are loitering all around the hotel. Not a comfortable situation especially with the family in tow. We also had cash stolen out of our room and the management was less than motivated to either give us information about what they were doing or seemingly want to do anything. We ultimately called the police ourselves. They basically blamed us for not using a safe deposit box in the managers office that they don't let you know they have. read more

My husband and I were stuck in Dallas due to a missed connection at the airport and, wanting to stay grounded in a somewhat decent place, found ourselves here. Hyatt was able to not only book us a room last minute but also sent out a shuttle to pick us up (as well as drop us off the next morning) on a ride that was no longer than ten minutes. Checking in went without a hitch and I found the folks manning the front desk to be polite and accommodating. For a king-sized room that was very reasonably priced, I was happy with our space. There was a small pullout couch that made the room almost feel like a suite and the wifi was free and pretty dependable (though you'd have to reconnect every time your laptop was closed or went to sleep). Some other added pluses - free hot breakfast in the morning that starts at 6 am for the early risers. Along with the usual fruit, waffles, scrambled egg, toast, and cold cereals, there were some surprisingly scrumptious additions such as parmesan roasted potatoes. A limited Starbucks bar also offers customers hot and iced coffees. Shuttle service not only includes airport rides but is also extended to any local place or attraction within a three mile radius from the hotel. If you'd like to visit areas further out, they can drop you off at their sister hotels' Grand Hyatt so that you can utilize the shuttles there. These vans run around the clock and well into the evening so that those who are stranded here without a car can still try to catch some of the sights. read more

The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are nice and spacious and can never go wrong with a fridge in the room. The workout room is very small but it serves its purpose. The pool area looked dark and scary even in the middle of the day, should work on that.. the breakfast left a lot to be desired. My daughter said the granola was stale and the yogurt tasted strange. I told her to toss it, I went and had breakfast at the Waffle House at least the eggs don't taste like they're from a carton. Overall nice hotel that needs to work on breakfast and the pool area. Excellent place to stay. I've been staying here every other week for the past few months now and it's been pretty great. The entire staff, day and night are fantastic, happy, friendly people. Limited breakfast due to covid restrictions but what they offer would still satisfy everyone. Clean, comfortable beds, pillows and linens. Rugs, couch and bathroom feels clean and fresh. I would give 5 stars however the coffee in the am is really weak, I mean like water. If they can make the coffee stronger that would be great. read more

Meh, spent one night here during our family spring break trip. Didn't have a great stay. The T.V wasn't working. Yes, I tried input select, checked the power by crawling around on the floor, etc. I called the front desk and they said they would come right up but never showed. I finally called down to tell them forget it, we are going to bed. Our room 221 (?) if I recall had a terrible humming noise all night. I couldn't see what was causing it. Was something outside, perhaps a large heating cooling unit out of view. Breakfast tasted weird. Maybe from lack of sleep due to the noise. Argh! I travel for a living. I'm no hotel noob. Wouldn't return, could have been a run of bad luck but not a great experience overall. read more

Now of course the establishment was clean, the food was good and the location was perfect for my commute to work. What made my stay Exceptional was the quality of service I received. Every person I interacted with was as awesome. The night staff was friendly and informative but most of my interactions were with the day staff! Kisha checked me in as if she knew how tired I was. Not a whole lot of time spent filling out paperwork just straight to it! Found my Hyatt number without my asking and made sure my information was corrected. After settling in she and Emmanuel made sure I had all the information I needed to made my stay easy and comfortable. Meals, directions, assistance in getting to my final destination! Each room has its own air filter or dehumidifier system. It's a rather loud fan noise that triggered anxiety and they were kind enough to turn off for my room. Room was clean.
