Last year, We sold our house and moved out of the country for a year. We've stayed twice here twice on our visits back here. First time for a week. This time, for a week and a half. It's about 5 minutes from the airport. Tru shares space with home2suites. One side is True. The other side is home2. I feel comfortable here. The beds are comfortable. They have a spacious lobby with alot of comfortable seating. Good for working. They also have a pool table and 1 hole putt putt if you want to practice. They have a gym and a laundry room. There are no microwaves in the rooms, but one is in the lobby to use. Overall I really have no complaints. read more

I enjoyed my stay here since it was during Super Bowl Sunday. Great staff from the front desk all the way down to the shuttle drivers. My crew and I walked down to a local brewery to watch the game and after the half time show was over I watched the game with the evening shuttle driver as he was waiting for a pickup. I have recently had a few surgeries in here in Texas and it's been hit or miss finding an excellent Hilton property in the Hurst area. But I've truly found one of my favorite hotels run by Hilton in Texas. One of the hotel is true by Hilton and the other one is Home by Hilton. They share a common lobby and I absolutely love the cleanliness of this hotel. The rooms are modern and remind me of IKEA in the best way lots of unique storage opportunities and very clean rooms. There is a huge game room with pool table and other games and a fire pit outside and the pool is immaculate, this is where I will be staying when I have to come to Hurst in the future. Tea and coffee are available 24 hours a day. They provide a plethora of towels, hand towels, and washcloths, and have good air conditioning which some of the older hiltons struggle with read more

I gave 5 stars bc our hotel stay was exceptional. Quiet, beds were cozy, room was as requested, pool was relaxing, breakfast exceptional, location is close to everything shopping and dining and fun. Pool table, lounge area for larger parties, cute swinging egg chairs and little areas for kids to run and hide and play in (esp for 5 yr olds lol). I will make this our normal Dallas area stay. I recommend nearby attractions: Wild Acres Restaurant, NRH2o water park, and the Grapevine mall with Meow Wolf, and well, all the shopping in walking distance (if you dare) lol. We've stayed at some crummy hotels so I review when I can. This is great for our kiddos. read more

Benji at the front desk was the best part of our stay, she was very friendly and helpful and nice. The rest was a bit of a mixed bag: the rooms were a little run down but ok, nothing fancy. None of the apps on the TV worked, and the shower was weird and hard to turn on (others we were traveling with who had walk-in showers didn't have this problem). On the second day, our room lock stopped working so that even RE-programmed key cards wouldn't open it, and a maintenance person had to be called. Thank GOD that didn't happen the prior day when we were attending a wedding my husband was a groomsman in, and there was zero time for problems like that! The lobby coffee was stunningly bad, and there was no coffee maker in the room, which I have never seen before in any hotel. Elevator was down twice during our 3 day stay. read more

BRAND NEW HOTEL/ CLEAN‼ Very clean hotel/ great place to eat nearby! Walking distance! Room has nice TV, beds are comfortable but the real factor is it feels very clean!!! Customer service at front desk is sub par. Just nothing to rave about.. Hotel has a nice gym and Laundry facility! Also has a nice pool + putting green! Overall, I would return. Cons: No window dark shade, it was missing, reported and nothing done to replace, light missing from wall, one paper cup, no ice buckets on floor (had to go to front desk). There are many other options in the area for hotels. Glad I only had to stay one night. Sad to see Hilton opening this level of hotel. Definitely not typical Hilton quality. read more

This was the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. The air conditioner leaked onto the carpet, they didn't leave enough toilet paper (and by the 2nd day at 3 p.m. still hadn't refreshed our room), and the shower gel bottle in the shower was empty. On the last morning while making sure we didn't accidentally drop something, I checked under the bed and found a previous guest's crusty sock. Showed the front desk when I checked out and the woman said not one word, just kind of ugh. Didn't apologize or tell me that she was even thinking of crediting part of our bill, which I do appreciate. It's the very least she could do. The overnight person working was not friendly. They also watered down every juice (so gross), and probably the coffee since it was so weak and miserable tasting. Even with Hilton Honors, if this was the only one in town I'd stay elsewhere. read more

Just unacceptable of the Hilton brand. I used my Honors points for one free night and expect them to be returned. Staff was nice. Lobby was in good order. The rooms are outdated and not very appealing. When you spend this kind of money you expect good accommodations. Not this location No closets. No carpet. No coffee maker. Cheap ironing board. My husband and I's stay was mediocre at best. I really liked the hotel, it was sleek, clean and contemporary. It had a huge shower and very comfy bed. Where this place loses stars, is the customer service. We checked in at around 10pm. The young man behind the counter could not give us the time of day. Rushed through the check in process, with poor customer service because he wanted to quickly return to watching Tik Tok videos on his phone. In the morning is when i experienced the most issues. Went to take a shower, and shampoo and body wash were extremely low and conditioner was out completely. We then went to breakfast at 9:30 am. Breakfast is served until 10am. Yes, we probably should have gotten up sooner, but we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in. Well upon arriving to the breakfast hall, there was hardly anything! Some lukewarm scrambled eggs, and a couple soggy sausage Pattie's. Potatoes were out, oatmeal was out, no pastries.. and my favorite, the waffle iron had been shut down. I asked the worker if I could please get some waffle mix, and she said that they were done with it for the day, it had already been cleaned.. now I don't mean to be a Karen:/ but with as much as we paid, it would have been nice for breakfast items to be served up until the end. Oh well, we got some food, and just planned on a brunch later. We went back to our room to rest for a little bit before leaving, we laid down to watch a movie. Right at 11am, house keeping came by and attempted to come into our room, even though we had the do not disturb sign up. We told them that we were not ready to check out yet, as the sign on the door said check out was at noon. Slight language barrier... but they left. 2 minutes later, we received a call from the front desk. This is where the bad review really comes in. The girl manning the front desk was incredibly rude. She asked if we were leaving or paying for another night. When I explained that we were going to be checking out at noon. She said that check out is at 11. Her words were "you need to vacate now, or pay for another night. We need the room now". I don't take well to bring spoke to in any rude manner from establishment staff. I informed her that the hotel door said check out is at noon, and we would not be paying for another night. She proceeded to tell me that the door signage was wrong and we needed to leave. We did leave without me saying anything, only because my husband urged me not to 'give her the time of day'. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism by the staff I encountered. This was such a nice hotel but JESUS Christ it's a high end pet welcoming hotel! If you do not like dogs, better stay clear. The animal smell is overwhelming. Their is no limit to how big the dog can be. The grounds keeper actually did all his duties with a large bull dog or pit-bull. Nice dog I reckon, he never barked or acted aggressive but the smell. For the life of me, I just don't understand why they wouldn't designate certain rooms for pets. This is truly a family affair. Kids, dogs, pets and all are all welcome. Be mindful there isn't a microwave in the room. You must warm your food up in the lobby. This is a 5 star family hotel but a two star to me because of the dogs. They have family areas, games, pool tables and a huge connect 4. Be clear to understand the place is spotless, but the smell! Thee staff, service all good but omg! The dogs! read more

This hotel just does not get it! A true minimalist's dream since there are no drawers, closets, in-room coffee maker, etc. They use the worst linens on the beds I have ever experienced. Lighting in the rooms is also minimal so be prepared. It sits on a major thoroughfare in the Dallas / Fort Worth area thus road noise is REAL - ALL THE TIME! This hotel sits across the interstate from good shopping and lots of restaurants but you are too tired from not sleeping to enjoy them. I travel frequently and rarely can a hotel undo me but this one is definitely off my list. Thankfully this is my last day here. read more

I asked the front desk to get an extra pillow for my room, I also offered to just bring it up myself but the front desk worked said he would bring me one. This was the 8:30pm on 10/12. He brought me the pillow and I offered him $1 which was all I had on me and he extremely rudely told me he didn't need it and walked away. I was just trying to be nice it was all I had on me had I had more I would have given it to him but his disgusted response was so off putting I don't ever want to have a layover here again. read more

WOMEN BEWARE !!!! Husbands must give verbal approval to desk clerk for his wife to stay here alone. If a husband makes a reservation for his wife to stay here while she is on a business trip, and the wife has ID confirming she has same last name and address of husband, same credit card used to make reservation, the hotel will still require her husband's VERBAL approval or she will be turned away!! It is a hotel policy that is written and rudely enforced. We have stayed at multiple Hilton hotels hundreds of times in the last 30 years and my wife has never been treated rudely and in such a sexist manner. this hotel is ok. it is new but the rooms are a little weird, there is hardly any furniture and the floors have no carpet. the rooms were very clean. however if you're a light sleeper, the rooms facing the road are VERY loud. the front desk was able to move us for our second night, so that was greatly appreciated. they also have coffee all day in the lobby which was appreciated. we would consider staying here again if the price was right. read more

Stayed here for a business meeting and was pleasantly surprised. Located off Hwy 121, in an area with lots of strip mall/shopping. Lots of fast food options, but there are a few decent restaurants within reasonable walking distance or a short 1-5 minute drive. The hotel is clean and the lobby well lit. For a single female traveling alone, I felt extremely safe in this area. The rooms felt a little cramped compared to some places I've stayed but very comfortable...and quiet! Of course, you get noise from the hallway, but overall, I could get the room dark for sleeping and it was quiet so very big pluses in my book. There is a small fridge in the room and a coffee maker too. I love that the newer hotels are going with hardwood floors, and Tru is no exception. Lots of plugs for charging your electronics. Now, I will caution one thing - especially if you haven't stayed in a hotel for a while. Many new hotels are going minimalistic such as no dedicated closet, or drawers. Tru is like this, so if you have a lot of clothes that need to hang, I suggest bringing a few extra hangers. I don't mind this style hotel to be honest. I rate based on: 1. sheets and towels clean? Yes. 2. The room clean? Yes. 3. How safe do I feel walking around by myself? No problem. 4. Do I feel welcomed (either by staff or the overall feel in the lobby)? Yep! Overall, I recommend Tru by Hilton off Hwy 121. The location by car is a short drive to so many attractions. read more
