I booked two nights here for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I specifically booked the rooms because I knew that my neighbors were going to be loud for the New Year's, and I needed to get some rest and work done upon my arrival. The young lady who checked me in was very sweet had great energy. The facilities were clean and very nice. I did ask her specifically for the top floor specifically because typically in Marriott the floors are thin and you can always hear people walking over you and that is a big issue for me when it comes down to getting sleep so I mentioned that I would prefer a top floor, so then that way I could get the rest that I needed so that way I could do the work that I needed to do. There are only four levels in the hotel and I let her know that she was OK to put me in any room on the fourth level I just would prefer to not be underneath anyone She went in the back came back and let me know that they're doing deep cleaning on the third floor so there aren't any people on that floor but they do have a room available for me on the second floor and wherever she's putting me I shouldn't have that issue. I trusted her and I didn't give any pushback and I went on ahead to my second floor room. It was a very nice room very clean. The bed wasn't the comfiest, but the room overall was decent one I had absolutely no issues outside of hearing people talking in between the walls and hearing some other weird sounds. I did not have an adjoining room, but there were some sounds throughout the night that would've kept me up if I didn't put on some white noise in the background, the second evening however, is when everything kind of shifted at about 10 PM I started to hear very heavy, stomping and walking above me so I called down to the front desk and got a not so happy to be at work person and I attempted to just explain to her that I was told that the third floor was going through deep cleaning, and no one would be in any of these rooms and that's why I had asked for an upper level room. The lady had informed me that she literally just checked someone into the room above me, although the third floor was closed for deep cleaning, which she did confirm, was closed for deep cleaning, so then I inquired on the confusion that I got a check in and I was told that nobody would be on that floor. She didn't really have a reasoning for the miscommunicated information from check into now so I let her know that they are very heavy in their walking. They're very loud and it is disturbing me and keeping me up and she said that she would give them a call so I left it at that. However, of course the noise did not stop. I did call back down and I let her know like hey I'm so sorry but unfortunately, the noise is just too much for me to bear, and she seemed very irritated and she shortly cut me off and said I will move your rooms. If you wanna meet me in the hallway in two minutes, I have all of my stuff in My Work and everything. Why not give me more than a two minute window either way I gathered up as fast as I could, and she was standing in the hallway annoyed and she just handed me off a key and just gave me a room right across from the room I was already at. Now will I say that I heard noise in this room yes I did, but was it people walking over my head no the difference in interactions from the person who checked me in to the person who helped me when I had an issue was night and day would I come back to this place? Yes, if I had nowhere else to go because the facilities are clean and Overall it's a good hotel it's nice it's big but as far as any other highlights, I don't have any. My experience on a scale of one to 10 was a four because of the interaction with the night audit girl. read more
