My husband and I returned to the Hilton Richardson Dallas while in the area. They are still working on the road so it was a little confusing pulling into the Hotel parking lot. We eventually parked, walked in, and checked in. The person working the front desk was friendly. We were upgraded to a suite during our stay. We didn't realize that until we opened the door to our room. The room had a living area, a bedroom area, a separate toilet, a separate shower, and two bathroom sinks. It was a nice upgrade with plenty of room to walk around and relax in. Overall it was a pleasant stay with good service. read more

I've stayed here about a half dozen times and have generally had a positive experience. This time, my Hilton Honors status got me upgraded to a beautiful corner room with a nice view of the city. I have long days at work and more to do after hours so I send a lot of time in the hotel and using their amenities. Here is my take on the good and bad. Good: While I have heard others complain of room quality, I have never had an issue . My only complaint about the rooms is the lack of a true refrigerator. The small coolers just don't add anything to the room since the best they can produce is lukewarm. Good incentive to visit the restaurant, bar or service counter, but a cold fridge should be a no-brainer. Which leads me to the restaurant and bar. The menu is small but the quality is very good. The staff is outstanding. I'm a bar guy, and I love this one. Chris, Selena, Sachi and Mani were amazing! They're so friendly and accommodating, and are just the best team members. They should be the standard for the staff. Which leads me to... the Bad. Shen I got to the hotel around 5:15 on Monday afternoon, I still had not received my digital key. I waited in a long line at the front desk to see what was going on. When it was my turn, I asked the attendant/host if my room was ready. I was told no, because I picked a room that wasn't clean. I'm sorry! I don't remember an option to pick an unclean room. While I was asking her when it might be ready, the phone rang and she answered it, dismissing me without a response. Off to the bar to have the staff there lift my spirits. My room wasn't ready until 6:00pm. Unacceptable. Also, 2 of the 3 elevators were not working for the week I was there, and one night when I was heading downstairs it wasn't working either. Luckily it was working after I walked down 17 floors. All in all, it was a good stay. However, it's an example of how small, cumulative hospitality failures can prevent a stay from being great. read more

This hotel is conveniently located right off of Central Expressway on the Campbell exit. There is plenty of parking but I fully hate that you have to pay to park. You register from your phone. It's a racket. The lobby and restaurant are really nice. The elevators are extremely slow. My room was nice. I was on the 7th floor and I liked my view. I had a king room which is a nice size and well designed. The closet space was smaller than I would have liked but since it was just for a one night stay it was okay. The microwave is downstairs right across from the bar. Hilton has it preset to heat any item for exactly 60 seconds. So if you bring a bag of popcorn like I did be prepared to stand there pushing start 3 or 4 times just to get a popped bag. The location is nice and the property is nice, I would be willing to book here again. read more

We recently stayed at this hotel for a family wedding weekend. We were blown away by the staff's attention to our needs. Genevieve was amazing - all the staff were. The rooms were well appointed; we loved the pool and the restaurant had a great breakfast. The location was convenient to the airport and our activities all over the city. Great hotel for a business trip. Plenty of space in the rooms and not a bad view, though there was a lot of road construction going on that made it a little harder to get to. WIth the Hilton rewards I got a free breakfast too which was a nice little buffet with an assortment of eggs, bagels, cereal, etc. They also have a snack and necessity shop next to the restaurant which is a life saver for grabbing a quick meal or anything you might have forgotten to bring. There is a shopping area across the street with plenty of restaurants, but it's not exactly a walkable area so I would suggest taking a quick Uber. read more

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. The floor I was staying on smelt like mold and mildew, I was told it was from the ice machine leaking and they would not move me to another floor. A coworker on another floor said his smelt like sewage and they did move him to a different floor. The major issue I had an issue with the cleanliness of the room. To spare the gross details let's just say that there was something smeared on the outside of the toilet that did not belong there and I can't believe housekeeping did not notice. Again I was told they could not move me but that my room would be deep cleaned. When I returned to my room that night the bed was made room was tidied up but the poop was still on the outside of the toilet. How would this not be prioritized and again how did housekeeping not notice it?? read more

We recently completed a 4 night stay at the Hilton Richardson Dallas. Great location centrally situated on Campbell Road and 75 Central Expressway. Easy on and off freeway access. The building is a high rise and our room was on the 14th floor. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I choose the Hilton over the Renaissance where we stayed last time because they have a restaurant that was open. Even though their breakfast, lunch and dinner item choices were simple it was adequate to satisfy hunger pangs. A couple of improvements such as some floor towels and glasses in the room would have been nice. The hotel provided them after our request. Service was good and there is plenty of outdoor parking (unsecured) hence parking was free. read more

Crazy screwball nightmare. Once a nice place, has highest rates, now multiple issues have made this a spot to avoid. Older property, pleast front entry, but starting to show some wear. Has had a facelift, but no major renovation. There are areas with visible wear, including a section of hallway in which all the wallpaper has come down (on ten), dirty carpets and worn surfaces. Very few working ice machines in the entire building (I read "every other floor" but this is not the case; there are perhaps five working for eighteen floors). In lobby, I noticed a cockroach on the floor, it was still there two days later. The cricketers love this property, they are great. But groups book most of the property, and then tend to overwhelm the common areas. Elevator situation is a complete and total cockup. Get ready to waste a lot of time waiting. One day it took fully nine attempts just to get an elevator. It never came. You just give up and try later. Elevator number three was out of service for the entire duration (fifteen days). That is management sinmply refusing to repair that elevator, but still collecting the room rates. Pure corporate greed. Two elevators for 390 rooms? That was insane... and then it got worse. As expected, elevator two went down. Then, there was no getting anywhere. Be aware, this is an EIGHTEEN STORY property. Total screwup, and completely avoidable. Everyone was miserable. Oscar is a good manager, but overall this gives you nothing less than a "we give up" vibe. The fact that they are not repairing anything makes one think they are just waiting to put the property on the market. Shower pressure and temperature are poor. WIFI is abysmal, virtually non-existent, on my stay it was out often and then finally went down entirely - and never came back. If you expect to get any work done - you won't. Awful. Noise is an issue regularly. Housekeeping is unreliable, even after badgering them, sometimes will not clean at all. Unfortunate since this could still be an attractive property. I am a long-time Hilton guest, For now, I recommend staying elsewhere. read more

Did you know that you can rent a cozy banquet room on the 17th floor of the Hilton Richardson? Our group did, and the view of downtown Dallas was visible in the distance. The room has a circle flow with tables and chairs of different varieties wrapping around the perimeter to take advantage of the view. The center area has a counter area that could serve as a coat check, but in this occasion it was a bar. We had two bartenders serving drinks for our reception. The decor has dark wood bookcases filled with large leather bound books, vases and tasteful baubles. There is a small kitchen area too. Servers had put out chaffing dishes on a few tables where out guests could help themselves to some hot food like meatballs, small gyro sandwiches, and skewers. Parking at the venue was plentiful, so it was surprising to find that they charged for parking. Fortunately our group paid for it, but we had to jump through some hoops to do so. The reception desk gave us a card. The card was provided by a third party who took car of parking payments and security on the property. We had to use the QR code on the card to visit a site where we had to provide our name, cell phone, and license plate number. If you didn't have that last bit of info, it automatically charged you a service fee. Thankfully I had a picture of my license plate on my phone, so I was able to enter everything including the free parking code. I did receive a text indicating the 2-hour time window that I was allowed to be there. I'm happy to say that I haven't been inundated with additional texts which I was concerned about. The property overall seems to be in good condition and is easy to access right off of Highway 75 and near George Bush Tollway. I would definitely accept an invitation to attend an event here again. read more

I am adding a star to my review because I didn't have to wait 20 minutes to check in, although there was still only one employee doing the checking in. Also, the staff were kind. Same situation here though: nice rooms but disgusting breakfast in a freezing multi-purpose room commanded by 3 huge televisions showing Fox News. My mini danish was so bad I had to spit it out into my yogurt cup. It tasted like Monsanto and New Jersey had a baby. I also cautiously ate a banana. It also tasted like the Monsanto baby. The eggs are a lot like what I remember from my school cafeteria. This place is convenient for work but I dread it. read more

Accommodations were great. The room was clean, but it did smell a little funky like it needed ventilation. I lowered the temperature to 65 degrees, thrn it was fine. The hot water was luke warm errr. I think that was the only negative. Joe at the downstairs market was absolutely nice. Thank you, Joe!!! Keep up the smile and pleasant personality greeting Hilton's guests. When I checked in, the front desk staff did not give me my water as a Hilton Gold member. I thought they possibly had it in the room, but there was none. I can't sing higher praises of the staff and accommodations this hotel provided us. In the morning, Carmen always gave warm greetings and conversation. In the evening,  Robin was very friendly and even helped to find the extra bread pudding after clean up!  At the bar, Kevin was terrific.  Very personable while providing excellent service. We had excellent bell hop service in the elevator (I'm sorry I forgot his name!). Staff was helpful in giving us recommendations for dinner. Checking in was very easy; the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. We had a problem with our TV remote, so after reporting it, we heard a knock on the door, and surprise! A new remote was handed to us. Not new batteries; not someone coming in to check it out. An immediate resolution to the problem! The only things we didn't like were the lack of microwave in the room. And that the large desk took up a lot of real estate and did not have a drawer. Finally, there was no hotel pen or paper. But those little things are just that, little. BED BUGS. I woke up at 430a itching tremendously and realized I was covered in bug bites. I lifted the mattress to discover I had been sleeping on a soiled mattress with blood stains and bug feces. They just slapped a sheet over it and thought it would be fine! I went to the front desk to complain, because they were conducting a night audit they couldn't move me to another room, and no manager on staff would issue a room refund, credits, or a new room. It's been over 24 hours and no management has reached out about the bugs. They're just letting people stay in those rooms because it's a busy weekend! Time to call the health inspector. When I called for a third time asking for a manager, they told me no one was available and rudely suggested I review this place online. read more

I appreciate the kindness of the front desk staff, but the hotel needs major updating. I read it was updated a few years back, but I am going to say they probably only updated the front lobby. My first room smelled like marjiana. I immediately wanted to leave and switch hotels. The second room was decent, the hallways were hot and dark, the sheets on the beds were dingy, the bathrooms need to be ripped out and redone completely. I had to ask for the bathroom to be cleaned after my arrival. I know I am picky, BUT for the five parties with me, only 1 would give it 4 stars. read more

This hotel SUCKS!! We are spending $1,200 here for 6 days. Staff is incompetent. We had to ask 3 times yesterday for our room to be cleaned and to get fresh towels. Never happened. On the third time, the front desk said, "Are you sure it hasn't been cleaned?" We had to ask twice today for our room to be cleaned. Leaky faucet, the phone doesn't work, so you can't call down to the front desk. No ice machine on odd floors. Inside the elevator, smashed gummies have been there for 3 days!! This is my all time favorite hotel! Such awesome and pleasant employees. A woman who worked the night shift Wednesday was so kind and patient with my child and I. We got into town late around 11pm and she had such a welcoming vibe. Very helpful. This time I was here for 3 nights and Chris at the bar had held the smile on his face every time I've seen him. The little store downstairs has toiletries, candiess, plenty of energy drinks and all the snacks I could want. The restaurant is very tasty and fast. The rooms are always clean and beds are amazing. Night: So I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. Paying for parking in a regular not preferred area was my first sign this hotel has issues. The room was not in the best condition but not terrible so that's positive and the drinks and pizza at the bar were pretty good. I noticed while at the bar that the bar tenders took empty bottles back to the kitchen vs scratching the label and throwing them away as required. This leads me to assume and I said assume they are refilling bottles which is illegal. Also and annoying they did not have the fireplace on and it's pretty cold out tonight. Morning: I slept like a baby even though the road noise was kinda loud. I probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't terrible. I did hear other people complaining about their rooms so I may have just been lucky. read more

Parked in Diamond spot, as I am a Diamond Member, and checked in. Was asked for my plate #, it was rental and did not have a tag on the key FOB. I then asked why, was told I needed to pay to park. Even as a Diamond Member? I could care less about your status - you need to pay. I parked handicapped last time, and didn't need to pay... same reply. I told the front desk I would go back and pay via the QR code. I was not pleasantly greeted, told they could care less about my my status - and wasn't even offered the complimentary check in gift. Room was horrible - requires much maintenance. Bathroom ceiling had paint chips falling on me and into my toiletry kit. The day I was to check out, I noticed that I was charged parking, even though I didn't supply a license plate - even though I paid (wasn't able to do it the night I checked in, but I received a warning - so charged, and given a warning for the same day). And, they upped my company's negotiated rate ($17 a night more for three nights). The saving grace was Sveltlana Jr., who checked me out and was completely graceful about it. I will not be staying here any longer - the Double Tree, right across the street, does not charge for parking and their staff greets you properly when you arrive. read more

Great friendly staff. Bryan at the bar was a lifesaver. The housekeepers were great and i surprisingly never heard or barely saw them in the halls. The hotel stayed clean the entire weekend and that was not an easy feat with the hotel being sold out and to capacity. The staff was amazing and things were clean. Seems like they are in process of upgrading and I hope they meet with the state ada to make accommodations correct. The food was tasty the hotel was nice. Micheal at the front desk was my favorite person. Ada accommodations can use some work- the positive is the shower setup was wonderful for getting in and out. The light and sound accessible button for someone at the door is great. The beds are at a good height for us . The ones in the standard Rooms are really high up. The negative - the doors to the accessible rooms are to heavy to navigate with a chair and there is no button to open any of the doors inside or outside the rooms. They have no closet setup or drawers to put your things away. They had an extra comforter shoved into the space and only a low bar and the clothing caddy shoved in the only space which I couldn't navigate on my own and isn't at the correct height. It seems like they put a closet setup into the original closet but took up so much space and did it poorly. I asked staff and all the Ada rooms seem to be done as an after thought. No access buttons inside or outside any door just an automatic door main entrance. I needed a person every time I was in my chair to open doors and it is really demeaning. The conference rooms are all flat but again doors are to heavy and are not accessible. Most of the sidewalks outside have large bricks sticking up so I couldn't clear most of them to the parking lot. The elevator is set to the wrong timing that I couldn't get in and out without help. They finally allowed me to use the staff elevator but on each floor the doors needed a key so I couldn't go back to the freight elevator after taking to the desk staff over and over and even calling them to unlock it I waited an hour once they said they would come let me in and they didn't also no access buttons to open those doors. I'm glad this hotel was available for the event everything was great except ada access. I would stay here again for sure. read more

Wonderful hotel! I was there for a large conference and this location was perfect! The lobby was welcoming, with many conversation sets where we could gather as friends and enjoy our free time. Our corner king room was spacious, with another small sitting area, a small table and two comfy chairs where we could relax. There is a very large work desk, so both of us could have both of our laptops out, BONUS! The bed was super comfortable and the bedding soft & clean. And the Hot Water! Extremely Hot in a very short time, another bonus! The staff was so friendly and smiling all wkend. They called and informed us our delivery person was on the way up to our room with our order. We did Not have to go downstairs like many hotels make you do. When I did call down for an extra items, they responded quickly. I'm sure they were running all wkend as this was a sell out for this conference, but they were always engaging & again with all smiles. Would definitely stay here again. read more

Bottom line is the room is nice. Staff is trying. Faults include having to pay for parking. Limited staff in the bar/restaurant. Bartenders do good work and make tasty drinks. But when it gets busy, they are it. They have to service not only the bar but the restaurant as well. Also the kitchen was slow getting food out. Perhaps they are having staffing issues as well. But, if you're just looking for a room and aren't parking a car, it's great. read more

Absolutely horrible hotel. I was there for a conference only one regular elevator was working so they allowed the service elevator to run so only two elevators out of the entire hotel. My friend got stuck in one of the regular elevators and I was stuck in the service elevator for 10 minutes staff did not seem to care I had a privacy sticker on my door and they still knocked for housekeeping. During the banquet they dropped a bunch of plates on my foot broke embellishments off my boot and the Buckle. They​ didn't even have the audacity to say they were sorry. I would seriously not recommending staying at this hospital they don't care for the patrons. read more
