These guys don't have all the parts I need, which I usually have to order from import shops online, but I must say that this Advance is better than the O'reilly, Autozone, and Napa down the street. They ordered some items that I needed immediately in order to drive the next Monday and they got the items overnight. I tried that with O'Reilly and Autozone but they spent days agonizing over when the part would be delivered. Napa wasn't open Sunday and didn't have the part I needed. So, this Advance has come through for me twice and I'm now a regular.

I was on my way to camp at Julian Price when I stopped at the McDowell rest area. My brake light…read moreswitch went out and I could not get my camper out of park. I called O'Reilly's and asked if they had the part. A gentleman said they did. I explained that I had no way to get there and he offered to send it out. I told him I was at the I-40 West bound but I was at I was at I-40 East bound. The young man he sent with the part did not give up and found me. I believe his name was Jason. He put on the new part but couldn't get it to work. He then bypassed the switch and got it out of park. He recommended going into Marion and check with Derrick Muffler, which I did. I just want to say that this is the best customer service I have ever had at an auto parts store, or any store. They were so nice, I wish I lived in Marion.

Yesterday what should have been a wonderful beginning to something amazing (the restoration of a…read more1977 Pontiac Can-am) turned dreadfully ugly. My friend purchased a tool. As he was leaving the Manager yelled embarrassing loud as he was leaving. Once he got in the parking lot a customer approached him and said. "Hey the manager said you stole that" Clearly my friend instantly returned back into the store with the receipt in hand and asked for a refund to which the cashier replied. "It's not really that big of a deal." Maybe to him it wasn't. Maybe because he was not only black man in the store, the only one accused of stealing. My friend rebuilt his Monte Carlo with parts purchased from Advance: Car enthusiasts tend to stick to the stores they know. Speaking for him as well as myself not another nickel will be spent in this particular store nor any other Advance Auto because clearly. "It's not that big of deal."
