I recently went here for a birthday party and it was so cute! There were employees that "hosted"…read moreeach birthday party. The party was in a shared party room and at first we were the only one. So it felt like a really intimate private event and we were able to play our music like we wanted to, and then toward the end of our party we had to share the space a little bit. But with the party package the hostess secured we received unlimited drinks from the fountain machine, pizza, and salad. They provided all of the dishes and cleaned up. The birthday child also received a giant card available to be signed by the guests. I don't know if this was just something that our hostess secured or if it's normally an option but she was also able to get passes with a $5 (or so) arcade card for $20 a person. The pass gave us access to unlimited activities and we could reload our arcade card if we wished. Of the activities that I recall are: Laser tag (So fun for adults and kids!), bumper cars, bumper boats, mini golf, bowling, rock climbing, and racing cars (I can't remember the actual name of it). We were not there for long enough to get to do anything more than once because we wanted to experience so much, then I bet if we went back and we went in at open we would be able to enjoy a lot. There's also a food area should you want to buy food or lunch while you are there. I don't know the rules on exiting and re-entering.

We did try hosting a birthday party here once, and unfortunately the party room experience wasn't very well organized. The room setup, food service, and overall hosting didn't meet our expectations, so we decided we'd rather just come back and enjoy the attractions on our own instead of booking another event. Even so, it's still a great family destination, and we'll definitely continue visiting for the fun activities.

Probably the most lackluster 'Grand Opening' event of any grand opening I've ever been to. They…read moredidn't even have a sign up on the building yet. The advertisement said it started at 10am and there would be free corndogs, but we showed up and of course there were no corndogs. They told us that corndogs would be arriving at 12, so we came back at 12, and guess what... still no corndogs. So they gave us false info not once but twice and wasted our time. As for the games, the machines were set to let you win 1 in every 8 plays, and each play is a dollar. How do I know this? Because one of the machines displayed this info in the settings. So for $8 you can expect to win a small knockoff plush that has a hole in it. They also had a couple of small machines that weren't up and running yet. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but I wouldn't exactly describe them as friendly either. They seemed about as unenthused for a grand opening event as can be. Unlike some better claw arcades, they weren't offering to help reset or fluff up machines, in fact they didn't talk to us at all while we were playing, and it's not like there was a large crowd. Overall, would not be excited to return.

I can't hype up Craft Lake City enough! Over the years I've taken several of their artisan…read moreworkshops including embroidery classes, relief printing, macrame, sugar scrubs, and so many more. They host several workshops a month and always mix up the locations as well. Sometimes their events are more intimate 21+ events at Alibi, and sometimes we're using a space at NHMU (and getting a complimentary NHMU ticket for the evening!) or the Valley Fair Mail. Every class is so much fun, and it's a lovely community of people from all over the valley. I've met so many wonderful people at these classes. The artists that host them are so talented. I've never considered myself very crafty or creative, but after taking these workshops, I've realized that I have so many skills and interests that I never knew I had! It feels like every workshop honors the creativity of my inner child :) In addition to their workshops, they do a million other things that benefit our local community and foster creativity. They host two large events - the DIY Festival in August and the Holiday Market in December. Their staff is always friendly and helpful, and every event I've attended has been fun and well organized.
