I recently went here for a birthday party and it was so cute! There were employees that "hosted"…read moreeach birthday party. The party was in a shared party room and at first we were the only one. So it felt like a really intimate private event and we were able to play our music like we wanted to, and then toward the end of our party we had to share the space a little bit. But with the party package the hostess secured we received unlimited drinks from the fountain machine, pizza, and salad. They provided all of the dishes and cleaned up. The birthday child also received a giant card available to be signed by the guests. I don't know if this was just something that our hostess secured or if it's normally an option but she was also able to get passes with a $5 (or so) arcade card for $20 a person. The pass gave us access to unlimited activities and we could reload our arcade card if we wished. Of the activities that I recall are: Laser tag (So fun for adults and kids!), bumper cars, bumper boats, mini golf, bowling, rock climbing, and racing cars (I can't remember the actual name of it). We were not there for long enough to get to do anything more than once because we wanted to experience so much, then I bet if we went back and we went in at open we would be able to enjoy a lot. There's also a food area should you want to buy food or lunch while you are there. I don't know the rules on exiting and re-entering.

We did try hosting a birthday party here once, and unfortunately the party room experience wasn't very well organized. The room setup, food service, and overall hosting didn't meet our expectations, so we decided we'd rather just come back and enjoy the attractions on our own instead of booking another event. Even so, it's still a great family destination, and we'll definitely continue visiting for the fun activities.

I can't hype up Craft Lake City enough! Over the years I've taken several of their artisan…read moreworkshops including embroidery classes, relief printing, macrame, sugar scrubs, and so many more. They host several workshops a month and always mix up the locations as well. Sometimes their events are more intimate 21+ events at Alibi, and sometimes we're using a space at NHMU (and getting a complimentary NHMU ticket for the evening!) or the Valley Fair Mail. Every class is so much fun, and it's a lovely community of people from all over the valley. I've met so many wonderful people at these classes. The artists that host them are so talented. I've never considered myself very crafty or creative, but after taking these workshops, I've realized that I have so many skills and interests that I never knew I had! It feels like every workshop honors the creativity of my inner child :) In addition to their workshops, they do a million other things that benefit our local community and foster creativity. They host two large events - the DIY Festival in August and the Holiday Market in December. Their staff is always friendly and helpful, and every event I've attended has been fun and well organized. It's a special experience and if you have not had the opportunity to be a part of it, I'd recommend you rectify that. Of course, not everyone is an actor, the world needs an enthusiastic audience too. The Draper Historic Theater is a small theater right off a side street in Draper. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in character. Shows sell out and people love to gather here. The seats are comfortable and because it's small, they all have a great view of the stage. Well, the shows are clearly what pack people in, but this place is cute, has working bathrooms, has A/C, plenty of street parking, has great concessions and fairly comfortable seats. We watched our friend in the musical Grease and had so much fun! The cast was entertaining and enjoyed singing along to the songs! We will definitely be back to catch other shows here, now that we know about it! :D
