I booked a black light paint session for me and my friend for her birthday we had Brian as our instructor and he was great! a really great vibe and we all had a ton of fun! Also I won an extra painting and one of the other instructors Hannah customized it for me which was really sweet! Definitely will be back again!

Had my 35th birthday party here and it was AMAZING!!!! We rented out the whole place and I had 30 of my closest friends and we had an absolute blast! We were able to bring our own drinks and snacks which was so fun. We also were able to plug in my phone to listen to my birthday playlist which was such a fun vibe! 10/10 recommend this place! Melisa was our instructor and she was so cute and patient with all of us. Shylo also helped us out and was amazing. Seriously such a fun experience! Oh my initials are NP btw, I don't like using my real name on yelp lol.

Even if you can't be in studio, you can have a good time. Painting with a Twist proved that to be true last nigh with their virtual paint class held via YouTube live. We pre-registered and picked up our kits the day before, then logged in to the provided link when it was time for the class to begin. The night was Harry Potter themed and the instructor did a phenomenal job of including trivia, puns and discussion to keep the participants engaged. Her instruction was clear and her fun personality shined through. I appreciated the effort she made to really ensure everyone had a good time. I'm looking forward to things opening back up so I can go to the studio and do another paint night-in person-soon.

My boyfriend and I participated in the at-home paint night. Picking up our kit was easy (although it had to be by 5pm, which was hard to coordinate with work when I usually am not off until 5pm). Logging onto the live YouTube was easy. I hooked it up to my TV for a bigger screen. Our teacher was fun and cute. She moved quickly, but there's a replay option with YouTube, too. During the paint drying breaks, we did Harry Potter trivia, so that was fun. This was my first ever paint night. I never thought it would happen at home instead of in studio, but I'd definitely try it again!

This is a fun date night, girls night, family night or any time that's not night activity. It's the perfect opportunity to get out and try something new and in some ways therapeutic. Friday night my husband and I had so much fun. We were both so focused on our painting that we hardly said a word and later laughed about that. Our artist Annie was funny, kind and inclusive. We did more than paint, we played Pictionary, listened to great music and attempted to draw mermaids on our heads. I would recommend this spot.

This was my first painting experience since my earlier days in middle school, and it definitely brought out a crafty side of me that I didn't know (and am still not sure) exists. The step by step instructions were easy to understand, and by the end I was surprised at how decent the end result turned out. It was a fun experience, but I'm happy I don't paint for a living because it isn't as easy as it looks. Painting with a twist doesn't have a full bar or the option to purchase food, but they do provide a wine "education" for an extra $5. This is basically about a 2oz pour of your choice of Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay or Moscato every 30 minutes. This amounted to a total of 5 pours throughout the entire night. Not a bad deal, but I'm not really sure what kind of an education we were supposed to have gained since the girl doing the pouring just asked which kind of wine we wanted. Overall, I had a great time. Everyone was really friendly and it wasn't a typical date night which was awesome.

This was a fun night, the artists were good, but my date happened to be a bit better!!

Pretty fun way to go out as a group. Instructor was fun and positive. It was a little hard to see what she was doing at times. But they made where really anyone could paint and have a good time. A little tight seating.

I was really skeptical about a painting class and tried to bow out of the night with my friends. However, I ended up going and really enjoyed the night. It was easier than I thought it would be. The instructor tried to keep us all motivated and the painting was very conducive to teaching a "phased" approach to painting. Even the novice can follow along and create something you wouldn't mind putting on the wall. I recommend going with a group and reserving the back room to keep things more intimate. Fun night.

I loved it! I went by myself and it was hard at first because everyone was with their moms and I lost mine in May.... I have been trying to find something therapeutic and I think I found it here. the staff was great to include everyone like everyone was just one giant group of friends. They were very helpful, encouraging and made me feel comfortable. They reminded us to just let things go and go with what we feel, and relax which is something I am trying to learn how to do. I plan on going back even by myself, it's great way to just let life slow down for a couple hours, it's an upbeat energetic yet chill place to just do your thing. No rules just open creativeness with some helpful tips if you want them. even if your not an artist. I felt like one. (:

We selected Christmas-inspired games to enhance the festive atmosphere, which added an extra level of fun and engagement for our guests. The event hosts were professional, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to work with throughout the experience. The party package included unlimited drinks during gameplay, which was appreciated, and the option to add catering was a convenient feature--which I did end up adding. The only area for improvement that I would recommend is greater attention to detail regarding their add-ons. I had added a mini trophy and ribbon as part of our party package; however, these items were not provided until after the event had concluded and many guests had already departed. This was disappointing, as the add-on was intended to be part of the celebration itself. Overall, though, the event was a success, and we'll definitely be back for more:)

Colby was our host and Justice was our producer, and they completely made the experience. They were funny, engaging, and knew how to read the room and tailor the games to our group. We had so much fun that we decided to stay for a second game. We did both Classic and Prime Time and honestly can't decide which one we liked more. Both were so fun and really felt like you were on a game show. This was easily the most fun we've had together in a long time. What really stood out was how customized the whole experience felt. It wasn't just running through a script. Colby and Justice made it feel personal and special, which took it to another level. If you're looking for something fun and different to do in Salt Lake City, this is it. We can't wait to come back next time we're in town.

I found The Art Cottage and learned that they do watercolor classes-and figured I'd give it a try. You do need to call or go online to reserve your spot-space is limited. I called and was able to get in easily for the day and time that worked for my schedule. I showed up a few minutes early and was setup at my station with paint, paper & brushes. I was ready to go! The class was brief-I learned a few basic strokes and techniques in watercolor. Gradient painting where you start very light and work your way into the darkest version of a color. I also learned the "wet on wet" and "wet on dry" techniques and when it would be appropriate to use each. I also learned how to fix mistakes and turn them into more intentional pieces of the art. I really channeled my inner Bob Ross turning things into birds and clouds. After the instruction, I was set loose to do a painting. There were some binders full of examples to provide inspiration, but no step by step instruction, which is different from other canvass/acrylic painting classes I've done elsewhere. I applied the techniques I had learned in the lesson and some suggestions from the instructor. Although my painting might not be one worthy of hanging in a gallery, I enjoyed myself and would recommend taking a class to anyone who might be mildly interested in watercolor.

I had such an incredible time at Crafted Rings! I love the idea of being able to create my own…read morering, and Cole took me step-by-step through the process and helped me to do as much as I could on my own. Now I have not only a cool new ring but something I can say I crafted myself! After selecting a design, the first step of the process was hand carving the ring out of wax - making the ring big enough for my finger and shaping the pattern on the outside. All the necessary tools were provided and were easy to use, especially with Cole's tips and expertise. (As someone with very limited experience with creating anything by hand, I very much appreciated this!) This step had the most amount of time allocated to it, and does require a degree of delicateness with the wax and patience with the process and with yourself. Luckily, Cole was also able to help undo or cover up mistakes (or weld the ring back together when the wax snapped - which definitely didn't happen five or six times ) Next, we used the wax ring to create a sand mold into which the silver for the ring could be poured. This doesn't take long, but prepping the mold also requires some delicate work. Again, Cole was there to help with corrections and mistakes. Since I was there by myself, I may have had a chance to be a bit more involved in preparing the silver for pouring into the mold than a group may have been able to. After the mold was ready, we used a torch to melt the silver and Cole poured the silver into the mold in one smooth, expert motion. The ring formed and cooled quickly, so within a minute or so we were putting the finishing touches on the final product. Finally, after some "pruning," sanding, and polishing, I have an awesome ring I can truly call my own! If you've ever wanted to craft something yourself worthy of being an heirloom that you could truly cal your own, or if you're looking for a meaningful gift of jewelry that isn't marked up to ridiculous prices just to take advantage of you, (OR if you just want to experience imagining yourself forging your own Ring Of Power in the fires of Mount Doom) I can absolutely recommend Crafted Rings!
