Student numbers are small, 10-12 students in my granddaughter's class, her teacher is Awesome and my grand daughter LIKES her. Check out the website for the classes and schedules, locations of Bravo! Academy, and so much more! My granddaughter was granted admission into a private school but she chose not to go because, in her own words, "I like my teacher!"

I asked to put my daughters tuition on hold but because she was only there 3 full days I didn't qualify. I thought it over, over the weekend, and decided I needed to just withdraw her. You see, I also work in healthcare, and while I am NOT on the front lines my job is essential and I will be working outside my home everyday through this Stay Safe, Stay Home and it wasn't just about my daughter or my finances (although as a single mom that was a HUGE part). I could have continued to take my daughter to Bravo, perhaps one day unknowingly exposing all of the children and staff to COVID-19. I chose to withdraw her instead. As a consequence I was charged over $250, 2 more weeks of full tuition and then withdraw fees. No, I would not recommend them. I understand, this is what I agreed to when I signed up for childcare and in a normal world I would not expect anything less than to abide my strict policy, but this is NOT a normal world.

I was both a teacher here as well as a parent of an infant who attended Bravo. My son attended here…read moreSeptember 2020- February 2021. In that time, I saw a revolving door of employees, some of who lasted longer than others. I wished the teachers had followed state protocol of washing their hands after each diaper change and frequently, ESPECIALLY during this pandemic we are in. That was the number 1 thing for me that I disliked. My son thrived with Miss Yapias, and I always knew he was well cared for when she was in. Anytime he was with another teacher, he would always come home with the worst diaper rashes and I was sent frequent photos on the smartcare app where he had obviously been crying. I requested he be changed once per hour rather than every 2 hours, and for the most part, that request was met. Miss Yapias made me feel pretty good about him being changed, and I knew that he was being taken care of. With other teachers who I won't name, they were upset with me and would sigh and ask daily "Do you still want him changed every hour?!" I didn't care about going through diapers or wipes, he just has extremely sensitive skin and he's the type of baby that as soon as he pees, he will cry. The teachers couldn't seem to understand that, so that's why I had him changed hourly. They were really good to ask me and make sure what he could and couldn't eat since a few things make him sick. I appreciated that a lot. Bravo is very good to stay on top of allergies and make sure to keep certain foods or ingredients away from certain children. I didn't enjoy the management- a lot of them were seemingly on a power trip that made no sense. People are entrusting you to take care of their children.. our WORLD. I think whoever chose the management needs to reevaluate, as well as put their teachers through a little bit better interview process so they know who they're really hiring. With a more compassionate management team, and knowledgeable teachers, Bravo could really start to thrive.

My child has been enrolled with the Riverdale Bravo since 2016. In that time, we have had a…read morerelatively good experience. My child is in first grade. As a full time employee, I have been relying on Bravo for daycare, as well as, transportation to and from his Elementary school. The first day of school we experienced issues as my child was left at school. The shuttle came and left without picking him up. I was notified by a parent that he was found sitting outside of school after hours. The principle contacted Bravo to return and pick him up. When I confronted Bravo, the director was more concerned with "who told me" than the fact that they left a child behind. Due to Covid, the elementary school has a hybrid schedule. I am well aware of the challenges that have come along with these changes and let it slide. Last week, Thursday, I received an email from the school reminding me that students shouldn't be dropped off before 8:45. The notice wasn't directed at me, so I didn't inquire. This morning I made sure to inform Bravo of the drop off time, they told me they understood. At 9:35 am, I received a phone call from his principle with great concern about him arrival time. The principle informed me that he was dropped off at 8:01 am. The surveillance video reveals the Bravo shuttle driving away, my son being denied access to the building, and looking around the building for help. At 8:11 am a NON SCHOOL DISTRICT person found my son. They did have access to the school building, on the cameras you see that person lead him in. Once in the school, the video continues showing this person walking with my son until a school employee enters and takes over. The principle informed me that this wasn't an isolated event, telling me that last Thursday she called and left a message for Bravo but never received a call back. Once I was informed, I called Bravo over 6 times with no response. I left work, drove down to the Riverdale Bravo, and requested to speak with the director. The director refused to see me, stated she has employee 1:1s she was conducting and I could come back when her schedule allowed. The front desk promised I would have a call back in an hour, which was false. When I did finally hear back from the director, she informed me that the employee was new and did return to the school but was unable to find him and they hadn't gotten around to calling me. I withdrew him that day from Bravo's care. I have lost complete trust in their ability of card to keep my child safe. I strongly suggest any person who is inquiring about child care seeks elsewhere. The neglect I have experienced is unforgivable.
