He had several pairs of high end sneakers. He took his belongings to the store and they helped him box them up. He purchased $1,000 in insurance even though the shoes were worth much more than that. A week later, the box arrived at our home in St Louis. We signed for the box and took it inside. Upon opening the sealed box, we discovered that all the shoe boxes had been opened and the most expensive pair was missing ($750 pair) along with the box. We immediately filed a claim. We took pictures of the tape on the box that had been clearly cut open and re-taped. We supplied those pictures. For a month we have gotten the run around. Misinformations has repeatedly been given to UPS corporate and we were just told that in order for the claim to proceed, we need the original receipt for the shoes and the packing label from the box. Both of which they knew on day one that we didn't have. We have been calling them several times a week for a month and UPS corporate refers us to the store. The store gives us the run around and says it is UPS corporate that is holding up the process. Someone stole from us. I would not ship anything of value here!
